"I must admit to being somewhat wary at answering all of these romantically-inclined questions. Well, regardless. I have never had anything to do with love letters, nor do I know what would make a good romantic evening. Romance is the last thing I think about! As for breaking hearts, I do that quite often! Helps to care for her mother. She's very old now, and the difference is all the more stark with how Keine hasn't physically aged in almost 30 years. In a way, her mother is a reminder of the fate that she was lucky enough to avoid, at least for now. Not that Keine would ever say such a thing herself.

Doesn't clearly remember her mother. She's lived in Gensokyo for well over half a century now, and before that spent a long time as the Watatsukis' pet. It's been a long time since she's even seen her mother, and she certainly can't go now. Family bonds aren't exactly strong among the moon rabbits anyway.

Misses her mother. She was just sixteen when her parents and her gods presented her with the impossibly difficult decision on which of them she would continue through time with. She doesn't regret her choice, but she does sometimes wish she could see her parents again. In the meantime, Kanako and Suwako are doing a fine job in the final stages of raising her.

Involved in killing her mother. It wasn't anything personal, but Mononobe no Futo had been convinced of the need to remove the Mononobe, and due to her position, she was very helpful in enabling their eradication by Miko and the Soga. If she ever actually did die, she would surely be cast into one of the deepest Hells. But she's avoided that, for now.

It seemed Reimu was a little too busy for the offer of tea and snacks. Shame, Futo would have enjoyed a more relaxed pace, but if this was how the shrine maiden wanted it, so be it. She could be serious as well. And what Reimu was describing definitely sounded serious.

Having the Hakurei Maiden of all people recognize her skill in something would do that. "Naturally there is none better in all of Gensokyo than I to be able to provide aid in this matter. Even the Crown Prince would admit as such!"

"...That said," she continued, "I am left wondering at what sort of negative spiritual energy could persist in thine household. Thine own energy is strong indeed, after all, and most positive. Whatever is causing it must be serious. Perhaps thine urgency was warranted after all!" She said this as if just now realizing it, and indeed, she had just now realized it. "Well then, I suppose there is no time to waste. Shall we make haste, Miss Hakurei?"

“The situation I’m bringing here is that this winter’s turned my shrine’s basement into a makeshift infirmary, where a lot of sick fairies, youkai, and humans are currently seeking shelter from the weather. But it seems like no matter what kind of medicine we get and distribute to everyone, and what kinds of prayers I provide for health and protection from disaster, there’s this feeling of negative spiritual energy that’s building up in there.”

Reimu paused a moment to collect herself after flying through the cold weather herself. This same cold energy could be felt all the way out to the mausoleum, only really dropping in severity once she crossed the boundary that marked the entrance to the Taoist senkai.

“I needed someone who could help me correct the energy flow in the basement, so that we could observe any kind of notable progress in everyone’s collective recovery from their winter-related illnesses. That’s why I flew out here looking for you, Futo. You can sense this energy too, right?”
