🔷 How to use:

1. Buy spore syringe, bulk substrate, and bags of Sterilized grain;

2. Inoculate bags and allow them to colonize (1.5 to 2.5 weeks);

3. Break up colonized grain and mix with the bulk substrate. Put into a plastic tote. Plastic tote: 64-quart Homz available at Walmart for $7;

4. Allow the mixed bulk substrate and grain spawn to fully colonize. (1 to 2 weeks);

5. Open lid 1/2 inch to 1 inch for fresh air exchange, which will lead to fruiting conditions;

6. Expose to light, Mist daily.

7. Harvest Mushrooms.

🔷 Milo is ideal for making mushroom spawn— We believe it is even better than rye for several reasons. Milo yields more inoculating points than other grain due to Milo's harder shell, and higher amylose starch, it is less sticky and breaks apart more easily allowing you to mix it thoroughly into your bulk substrate. Rye and other related grain have starch in it that is stickier, which in addition to the rye seeds softer coating results in more difficulty breaking it up properly for ideal spawning. Our Milo grain promotes rapid colonization, leaving contaminants with less opportunity to gain a foothold in your substrate.
