not really, straws are too small. besides, the length of the straw and the purpose of a straw mean that there are two openings, the drinking hole and the hole that's submerged in the liquid you're drinking. they are connected by one tunnel, yes, but there are two holes

I think the problem is you have a subjective idea of holes while I seek to form an objective one, something where anything not fitting the criteria isnt a hole and anything that does Is. My method is better so.

I think the matter of which method is better is also subjective. subjectivity and objectivity both have their places. what a "hole" is is subjective to one's definition of a hole. if you mean hole as in tunnel, you might still disagree that the human digestive system is a "hole", even though it's essentially a tunnel with two openings, just like a straw. objectively, it's subjective.
