prologue

Name had been living in darkness since the day he was born. He had a unique outlook on the world, one that was filled with horror and dread. His mother had been a victim of Stockholm Syndrome and this was a feeling he had been exposed to since childhood. In his teenage years, he began to struggle with his sexuality and developed a strong bond with a person who psychologically manipulated him.

He felt the oppressive darkness around him as he looked out at the night sky from his bedroom window. His reality felt far away and his state of mind was almost dreamlike. He felt a strange combination of fear, comfort, and understanding that he had never experienced before. It was as if he was being mentally manipulated, yet he felt oddly safe.

The sky was a dark abyss of uncertainty and fear, the only light illuminating the scene was a distant streetlamp.

A chill ran down the spine of the young man as he walked down the lonely street. He felt like he was being watched. He had no idea why he had come to this place and he was starting to feel increasingly uncomfortable with his situation.

As if a dark force had descended upon the lonely homestead, the silence of the night was shattered by a terror so debilitating it could send pangs of terror through anyone that felt its presence. For a moment, all that could be heard were the whispers of the wind and a faint, eerie voice that seemed to be calling out from the depths of despair.

For those lucky enough to have escaped its clutches, the experience was akin to Stockholm Syndrome, with an intense psychological manipulation taking hold and imprisoning them in a state of fear. Fortunately, those who survived can look back on the experience with a newfound appreciation for life and a deeper understanding of the horror that can be found in even the darkest places.

Dark shadows filled the room, a numbing chill descending upon him like a blanket of snow. Fear and anxiety ran through his veins as if it was his blood. Name was rooted to the spot, unable to move an inch as the person he thought of as his savior brought him closer to a world of horror.

He had developed Stockholm Syndrome, believing that the psychological manipulation of his captor had done him no harm, despite all evidence to the contrary.

I’m going to try to explain this in a less ramble-y way with new details I’ve thought of! (Because the first post of this AU was written in a sleep deprived haze. First post linked here if you want to see them in color but shittily. Note: I’m leaving out the jackets from here on out because they were a pain in the ass to draw and I don’t always have the energy for that)

So this is from my recently made MxB Bittersweet Memories AU (which is kind of like 2 aus in one). In this AU there is the “canon” universe and the “drink” universe.

The “canon” universe has the main Sonic cast we all know and love with a focus on Sonic and Shadow. The reason it’s “canon” and not just canon is because there is sonadow (and I’m so funny to make that reference <3 /sarcastic) More on that later.

The Drink universe has variations of the main cast (both in personality and appearance) based on different drinks/drink flavors, also with a focus on the Sonic and Shadow variants. In this universe, there is Boba! Sonic (who is extra peppy and sweet like boba) and Matcha! Shadow (who is very calm, since Matcha tea can decrease anxiety and stress). They call each other by their drink names instead of their “canon” names because I might write a fic and the plot I’m about to explain requires them to be distinct from the “canon” cast.

The silly thing that connects these two AUs into one is the weird connection the sonadow variants have. “Canon” Sonic feels all the emotions Boba has toward Matcha, and they sort of reflect into his own feelings for “Canon” Shadow, as seen in the comic above. Matcha experiences all of Shadow’s memories through dreams and general emotions, including Shadow’s memories of Maria and her death. These memories don’t have to be distant and Matcha can experience them as recent as they happen.

For the “canon” universe, this connection leads to Sonic chasing after Shadow and in the end, they get together. Although, it does take some time since they still have their rivalry.

In the Drink universe, Matcha and Boba have already gotten together in the beginning (and they don’t have a rivalry since their story went a lot different). Instead of going on adventures and saving the world, the people of their universe sell drinks corresponding to themselves (Matcha specializes in Matcha Tea, Boba makes boba, etc). Matcha’s sister (Apple Cider! Maria) never died, so he doesn’t have the same or as much trauma as Shadow (Grenadine! Gerald is dead tho but from old age rather than assassination; he adopted Matcha in this universe and they had a good relationship before he passed). This makes dreams and memories of Maria dying distressing (even though he doesn’t know who Maria is). As a result, the connection leads to a Hurt/Comfort scenario that strengthens Matcha and Boba’s bond.

Throughout this whole thing, both pairs don’t even know the other universe exists!!! It makes it funnier on Sonic’s end tbh XD

I know this is. A lot. But I’m not really sorry!!! I love Matcha and Boba so much!!!

TDLR: Drink Universe with drink inspired STH designs (and established sonadow) and “Canon”Universe with regular STH designs with almost but not yet established sonadow have a weird connection that leads to scenarios ✨ (and lots of sonadow moments!!)

This is my trying to figure out SVSSS basic ages of Moshang and Bingqiu purely for a fanfic. Specifically a fanfic where LBH gets a family but also his mom’s a badass and she has a betting pool with the Southern and Northern demons about LBH’s and MBJ’s relationships.

Just imagine Su Xiyan having MBJ and LBH grow as siblings and then sicking TLJ onto them for romantic advice of demon courting rituals when they meet SQH and SQQ in the future. SXY just having a betting pool and betting it taking longer than 10 years for her kids to actually get married and not telling their human partners.

SXY adopting MBJ only after he’s returned to the demon realm and bullies TLJ in having the (current at the time) Mobei-Jun hand over his kid who is named Mo Xuebao. (Snow leopard basically, mbj was never named! creative liberty!)

MXB (pre SVSSS MBJ) looking at this human woman whose husband is wrapped around her finger, a HEAVENLY demon and lord at that.

“Always go for the men that seem weak but aren’t. Actually, I’ll find you a perfect sniveling, weak man but will kill if needed.”

Turns to LBH who just stares at his mom like. ‘??????’

“A-Binghe, we’ll see.”

cue in the future her meeting post qi deviation SQQ after waking up and going, Ah. He’s perfect for my cute son Binghe. Yes, you will do. SXY pushing her son to SQQ’s sect like. Yeah that one? That one is yours, make me proud.

Thinking about SXY being a transmigrator maybe? Not sure yet but just being SQH’s editor in the past life and this is her revenge for having to real with his rants + talks abt MBJ being his ideal man.

Anyway I just rambled mostly but I’m writing a Moshang fic, specifically SQH going feral and showing the demons that he is worthy of marrying MBJ.

It’s still (roughly) in the works but I’ve made a tumblr to talk about MXTX novels or just talk about my ideas.

Bravo Mr. Gailman. S2 of Good Omens succeeded my expectation. It has been awhile since I actually sit down and not look at my phone while watching a series. The story and the moments are amazing. These parallel love stories are amazing. I didn’t know I could support those 2 couple (mxb forever).

HxH: mostly personally clash. They have a better relationship now but of course sometimes they get into arguments that can get a little handy

CxB: yea more work related. It’s a lot of arguments, although it never became physical for all I know

MxB: M became less and less patient with B attitude, and he hates when B takes the whole decisions or when he hurts others members with very problematic comments like for example concerning their weight. M has no patience anymore

They’re both so silly. I think Matcha would call Boba “Bo” all the time. Because they love him.

(Spontaneous decision: Matcha used he/they pronouns because I am gender and I said so)

They should totally kiss. Will I draw them kissing? Probably. Will it look good? Haha. No.
