so: there's gonna be multiple versions of gerry that you'll be able to interact with anytime, regardless of what point in the timeline the blog is currently in. there’s timeline gerrys, and there’s default gerry.

default gerry falls under the tag archivist gerry. basic but i’m not about to replace all of his tags w/ default gerry because that’s a lotta posts. anyway, default gerry is timeline-less, dealing with the fears and doing his own thing gerry. just the same guy you guys have been interacting with pre-pause. able to take in spoilers, just going along with stuff. he's the one that, if there's no specifications about which gerry you're talking to, will be talking to you. thus, default gerry!

timeline gerrys are a part of the canon, ongoing overarching plot for this au. they’re part of the timeline, which is why they’re timeline gerrys :)

s1 gerry falls under the tag the unwanted continuation. called this because in this au, gerry was never meant to survive the cancer but was “saved” by elias so he could become the archivist. he also very much did not want this, so. it’s an unwanted continuation :D anyway, this gerry’s going to be a lot more sick of shit than default gerry. he will also have canon plotline stuff going on, so stick around for that!

for anyone who has interacted with gerry before the pause (5/14/2025): this one has not met any of you yet. do with that what you will :3

there will be other timeline gerrys in the future, for different seasons and whatnot. stay tuned for that :)

when interacting, please specify which gerry you are about to interact with.

one way you can do this by leaving a small note at the end of an ask. for example:

“hey how’s archiving going

(for *insert version of gerry here*)”

when using this method, you can either specify with the version (eg. default gerry, s1 gerry), the tag used for that gerry (eg. archivist gerry, the unwanted continuation), or, in some cases, a point in the timeline (eg. post *insert event that happened*)

another method is to mention something specific that happened to a gerry within the ask. for example:

“why did you glitterbomb elias on april fools??”

this one is specific to default gerry, since no other gerry has glitterbombed elias on april fools. both this method and the previous can be used simultaneously. i would prefer if you use the first method since it’s more specific, but using the second is fine. if you think of other methods, let me know! hope this makes sense :)

if your ask is not specified, it will automatically go to default gerry.

HOWEVER: the only exception for not is if there is an ongoing huge lore event, such as a season finale. i will specify that there is an ongoing lore event at the top of this post in large text. also, during the event, all asks or interactions specified for other gerrys will likely be ignored until after the event is completed.

NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO GIVE ANY TIMELINE GERRY SPOILERS. this includes shit like "jonah is in elias' body", "the web is planning on spreading to other universes", "leitner in tunnels", "the apocalypse can't succeed", “____ got not!them'd" (unsure if that'll still be the case), etc. if anyone tries to tell him what's up, even if it is specified towards a specific gerry, it'll either be deleted or immediately go to default gerry. the only exceptions are if the asks are intended not to be taken seriously (eg. that one time when an anon was like "GERRY THAT'S NOT SASHA (gets dragged away screaming)"), or if that event has already been covered.

((Just wanted to get my rules change out before I delved into a new event that may cross into this territory. Tldr I updated my rules page on Shipping. The revised text is below the cut and can also be found on his rules page anytime, ty.))

I hc Ares to have a one-sided crush on Lene due to the events of Chapter 7. However if there's any instance of a Laylea mun who prefers Laylea to be the one Ares shares his cutscenes with in Chapter 7 instead, I am willing to discuss it. And if it all works out and is agreed upon, his crush would be on her instead. Either way, he's got a crush on his dancer friend. If the Lene/Laylea mun wants to ship with me and make the feelings mutual, we can try and do that, but I will want to discuss some things. Such as how they met, what their status is now, etc. However, just because Ares has a crush on the dancer he shares his cutscenes with in Chapter 7, that doesn't mean that is who I will solely ship him with. Chemistry is its own beast that I cannot fully predict or control as rp's play out. Therefore, based on how his interactions go with other muses in their threads together, his feelings may evolve. And that means he may end up falling for another muse instead while his OG crush would fade. That is, just because he has a crush already doesn't mean his feelings can't change if other chemistry starts brewing between him and another muse. I will let things go where they go naturally, but if something starts happening between him and your muse, I will happily discuss your thoughts and feelings on it with you, or you can always dm me too as well. What muses do in threads though is king of all, and just cause we may want one thing to happen doesn't mean our muses will play nice about it, so above all else, please keep that in mind in case something veers in a way we didn't expect. This includes if your muse does something that would really upset Ares IC, such as any kind of betrayal. I'm not going to change his character to avoid the fallout of things like that, but I am open to discussing, stopping something, and giving a heads-up. One plot I won't do though is cheating or suspected cheating and other kinds of emotional cheating/manipulation. I'm not here for that kinda drama on Ares. I can do and have done lots of other things but cheating is a guaranteed ship end for Ares due to his character history so I'd rather not. If you get belligerent over a ship you were hoping for that didn’t work out, I’ll cease all rp’s with you, then block if you press further.

Exuvia — This is the most canon-adherent verse, in which Fū competes during the joint Konohagakure-Sunagakure Chūnin exams. After the events of the joint Chūnin exams, this verse branches into several possibilities, the two diverging paths being Fū's capture by the Akatsuki and Fū's rescue or escape from death.

Neoteny — Fū is a child, still living in Takigakure, and has never ventured into the world outside the village.

Metastrophe — In this verse, Fū has left the village after Shibuki falls ill, effectively becoming a rogue ninja. Fū never participates in the Chūnin exams.

In Name Only — An alternate universe in which Fū leaves Takigakure amidst the turmoil of village upheaval (sometime between the ages of 10 and 13 years) and encounters (non-Akatsuki) Kakuzu (and/or Hidan), who manage to gain her trust and traffic her to another village, whereupon they trade their unwitting jinchūriki travel companion for a hefty lump sum reward. This verse is especially open to Hidan or Kakuzu muses.

Juvenoia — Modern alternate universe (inclusive of things like a 'high school AU' or similar).

Metamorph — In an alternate universe wherein Fū survives through the events of Shippuden, she is an adult in her late 20s to early 30s during the Boruto era.

INTERACTIONS

I am very reluctant to roleplay or talk in-character in dms, for different reasons (exceptions can be discussed on rare occasions). Please respect this as an important boundary. I offer various options to contact me listed below.

My dms are open for plotting and ooc, as long as it's not getting too personal. I'm open to talk about story ideas, our muses, fandoms (movies and tv, books, games, music) pop culture, you name it. I rarely reach out first but if you say hi I will answer to my best ability.

I accept in-character smalltalk and short-form rp through my askbox. Anon is an option if you're shy but keep in mind that my answers will be very limited unless you come up with something unique to ask my muse. You can continue a conversation into a thread if you want to come off anon. (This form of interaction is new and experimental to me, I might adapt, change, tweak to my liking in the future, or scrap it if it doesn't work out.)

My inbox is open to everyone but starters and threads are for mutuals only. Don't continue an answered ask or reply to an open if we're not both following each other.

Memes and prompts are always accepted, they never expire. Please try to link to the post you've send me something from, it makes my life easier, but I won't get mad if you don't. Asks can always be continued into threads, no permission required.

WRITING

No godmodding, power play, meta gaming. I also don’t like forcing or rushing certain dynamics that don’t feel like natural character progression. Plotting beforehand is welcome but not mandatory. If it ever feels like being stuck we can pause the writing and have a small plotting session between scenes or even for the same scene. I am a big fan of the “yes, and” approach, give me something to work with. I don’t have an estimated length for texts, it always depends.

My blog is strictly and firmly against the usage of AI. I will never use AI for writing or to generate images. If I ever accidentially reblog something AI-generated please let me know, but be respectful while you do so. I do not wish to write with you if you use AI, don't ever feed my writing to an AI, I do not consent to this.

I don’t do a lot of formatting. I prefer small font, my writing is usually continuous text with no line breaks for dialogue. Let me know if this is difficult to read for you and I will adjust, no questions asked. Please try to trim your posts if possible. Generally, feel free to format your text as you wish but here are some things I have issues with: Excessive spacing between words (triple space and higher), excessive bolding or italicizing to a point where it distracts me; all caps, text from font generators (captions and highlighted phrases are perfectly fine but I can’t read a whole text in those fonts).

SHIPPING AND DYNAMICS

I’m multiship and multiverse, every ship takes place in its own verse if not communicated otherwise. I rely heavily on chemistry, don't force things. The occasional smut might happen but I’m more interested in exploring dynamics outside of romantic shipping, such as allies, enemies, enemies to friends, found family, etc.

My muse for Sai is somewhat canon-divergent and incorperative of headcanon material but is based almost entirely on canonical elements from the Naruto manga and Shippuden anime.

Sai is portrayed as both a minor and an adult on this blog (most commonly between the ages of fourteen and nineteen years of age). However, NSFW sexually explicit interactions between adult characters and Sai, in the context of the verses in which he is also an adult, are exclusive to Discord and I am selective about the NSFW that will be published here, just understand that before sending any asks of a sexual nature.
