-LIGHTNING BOLTS SHOOT FROM MY FINGERTIPS!!! I love that this specific language was included in the rant because now we know what Jimmy is thinking when he does the lil finger waggle to make something happen

Bagman

-One of the coolest things about this show is how it influences the way you view Breaking Bad on a rewatch, and this episode is a prime example. Seeing what Mike and Jimmy go through in Bagman completely recontextualizes their relationship for me. The closest feeling I can relate it to is when after you’ve known two people for a while you find out that they also know each other.

-Did Mike and Jimmy think they would be able to steal the car of the guy they baited and sniped???

Bad Choice Road

-Jimmy in the tub scene 👀

-Ok Lalo IS Spider-Man. First the roof thing at Travel Wire and now him jumping off a ravine onto the esteem

-Jimmy pestering Kim with that ”pro bono means no money” argument is rich considering she held him down when his license was suspended

-When Lalo presses Jimmy for more about what happened in the desert Jimmy throws in the detail about drinking his pee, which was the same thing he did when Kim tried to get him to open up about what happened

Something Unforgiveable

-Kim snorting in laughter at Howard’s accusations of Jimmy made that scene

-There are a myriad of reasons why Kim turns on Howard and one I don’t see mentioned enough is TIMING!! Consider this, Jimmy tries to break up with Kim on the same day Howard approached her about Jimmy being unhinged. She brings this up to Jimmy that night almost as a way to distract from the heavy shit they’ve been experiencing. They spend the evening lightheartedly brainstorming schemes against Howard, then it becomes serious for Kim when she thinks going through with a plan will keep Jimmy in the relationship

-Jimmy leaves the mint chip off his room service sundae. I don’t exactly know why but it feels significant

-I’m trying to imagine how Jimmy felt when Kim did the finger guns at him. I imagine whatever he felt in that moment is what he was trying to convey to Kim when he did them to her in Saul Gone

Sexuality Headcanon: usually I go for bi but I’ve also seen ppl make convincing arguments for him being gay sooo Idk no real set headcanon. Gender Headcanon: cis man A ship I have with said character: Gus/Mike, Mike/Anita, Mike/Jesse, Mike/Saul, Mike/Nacho, Mike/Lalo, I could go on. A BROTP I have with said character: Mike/Werner (tho ppl who ship em romantically are ofc valid as well!) A NOTP I have with said character: Hm, none come to mind. A random headcanon: He’s one of these typical characters that are In Control so much that I think giving it up is very hard for him, and only a person who has proven themselves worthy of his trust is going to be able to get him there. General Opinion over said character: Murder grandpa! One of my absolute favs ofc, one of the fandom’s favorites, and deservedly so! Tho I do think lately he’s been hogging the limelight a little compared to characters like Gus.

Least Favorite character: I don’t want to say I hate Chuck, because I don’t hate him in the same way most fans seem to. I actually felt a lot of sympathy for Chuck, and I was genuinely worried between seasons 3 and 4 that BCS wouldn’t work without Michael McKean. . . But, yeah, it’s Chuck.

a random thought: We are just . . . so lucky to live in a time with so much great TV. I am in total awe of how this show is created. I’m at a point where I’m very unsure about my current career path, and listening to the BCS Insider Podcast this past season actually made me start thinking about becoming a television writer.

An unpopular opinion: I love Hector Salamanca. I get so excited when he’s on screen.

How I feel about this character: My feelings on him are a bit complicated by now cuz I’m really annoyed with how he’s being handled in the show and that’s dampened my enthusiasm a lot. But he remains one of, if not my favorite Better Call Saul character.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: ........Okay you asked for it. Lalo, Mike, Gus, Leonel, Marco, Domingo, Amber and Jo, Tyrus, Tuco, Hector, and let’s throw Jimmy in there too for good measure.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: As in, friendship or familial relationship? Nacho and Manuel, big time!

My unpopular opinion about this character: I know everyone wants him to skip town and live happily ever after, with Manuel in tow if possible but. I’m sorry. That would be the worst for me. You gotta understand, I come to this from a perspective of... if Skyler got the ending she got. If Hank got the ending he got. If Mike got the ending he got. If Domingo got the ending he got. I don’t think it’s fair for Nacho to play Karma Houdini just cuz he’s cute. Nacho’s not a psychopath like a lot of the guys he hangs out with. But he’s not a good person either. Karma is a bitch in the Gilliverse, and everyone has to pay for their actions, one way or the other. Even Jesse had to spend a year basically being a slave before his slate was wiped clean and he could walk free.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I want him to get more focus, more story, more agency. I want him to make choices, and I want him to stop being absolutely nothing but the pawn in the game of men way more powerful than him. If I could chose an ending for him, I would want for it to be a kind of monkey’s paw situation. Something like, he’s allowed to go, but at a cost that’s not worth it. I’m sorry, but I’m a sucker for tragedy.
