#my sister and i got chickenpox in 02 or 03 which i remember bc shed be going into elementary and the school had an updated policy#that you either needed to have had chickenpox or gotten the vaccine. and my moms concern was that if she got the vaccine#but then forgotten to get a booster shot later then she could get chickenpox as an adult which is way worse than as a kid#but then luckily my sister got it and her class got it and i got it and my class got it#and also that year i got strep four times and ALSO that was the year my ocd became a whole thing so overall not a great year for me!#but anyway im looking it up now and it seems the chickenpox vaccine makes you immune for life? no boosters needed later??#thats why i put the year we got it bc maybe it was different then? but also it says the vaccines been around since 95 so it seems unlikely?#in conclusion i guess im now at risk for shingles bc my mom misunderstood the type of vaccine it was so yay#*forgot to get the vaccine. not forgotten. im not retyping all that
