I have put this off for quite sometime now. I have told myself a million times “i’ll start next week” but, next week never comes. Even if it does, it will only be that week, then I’ll begin to lose motivation once again. That has to STOP! There are several reasons why, most importantly my health. I come from a family background full of diabetes and I don't want to be next, at least not if i can prevent it. Another is that I want to feel comfortable in my own skin, I want to be able to wear shorts and tanks without being so self-conscious. I do understand that I have to love myself in my own skin, no matter what my size is, and I do. However, I don't feel like I am me. I feel trapped in a body that is not mine and know i have the power to change that, and I know i will, I just need to learn to be consistent. Lastly, I recently got engaged and I know i’ll be looking for a dress in the near future. I want that dress to be the dress I chose because I fell in love with it. Not because it was the only one that fit. I don’t want to cringe at the photos from what is suppose to be the happiest day of my life because I wasn't strong or willing enough to change my lifestyle.
