We all make choices. I would be lying if I say I have never been hurt by the villainy of someone in my life and that I have been the same villain to others. There have been instances when I felt so broken because of the tiny words spoken by people I cared for the most just because I was not ready to accept their treatment of me. I have broken and burned bridges with some people I used to be very close to even though I forgave them. while we do consider the happiness of others, as we go on living we make some choices that hurt others. Sometimes even if you forgive them staying with them makes you bitter because mental healing is a long process. You feel sorry for yourself, you feel anger, betrayal and what not. It takes time. A burnt bridge is better then a broken one that you can't trust anymore. Resentment is no good in a relationship. Your past is 'PAST' treat it so and move on. Your Past has no space in your future except for some hearty references for laughs and lessons.  Learn from the past mistakes of your own and others.. Learn to treat people better, whether or not they can do anything for you in return, if they misunderstand your actions no need to feel resentful, forgive and forget. Relationships are based on trust in each other, if it can not be developed it is better to let go of past relationships and make better ones in future. To build a better You in future you need to be stronger and better You.
