Ooh, free space, hmmm...you get Minei, who is taking up a ton of brainspace recently!

A. What nicknames do they get called?

She doesn't really have a ton of nicknames--other than some people calling her "Mini" because she is quite short, which she absolutely hates. She's used to being called by her last name sometimes (it comes up working with the Vigil, so it's nothing new) but she also dislikes that. Call her by her first name if you want to start a conversation with her on good footing.

E. What is their love language?

As far as receiving, I think maybe words of affirmation and acts of service, but more the second than the first--she's a little reluctant to trust the first without actions backing up the words. As far as giving, she does it similarly--she'll absolutely use her words a bit, but by and large it's going to be shown through actions. Physical affection, like hugs, is almost entirely reserved for her sister.

I. What makes them feel safe?

I'll let you in on a sad secret--she almost never really feels safe. What gets her closest to that feeling is being able to see that her sister's okay.

O. What motivates them?

Nowadays, a legitimate commitment to what the Vigil stands for, and the ever-present desire to help her sister (and provide some support monetarily through her work). In the past, revenge has also been thrown in there somewhere, for Reasons.

U. What do they like to do in their spare time?

Read! Minei is very curious and will happily read books about history in particular, if she can get her hands on them. She'll also talk with people if they start the conversation, or play with her (undead) rat Stanley--or play solitaire.

Their first date wasn't anything too fancy. It wasn't too long after they confessed their feelings for one another (thanks to Orion's meddling), and it was really just them spending the day together in a quiet corner of Arborstone where they could enjoy each other's company, without having to deal with whatever antics Orion and Noriaki got into or Shiro being a cranky bastard.

This.. Depends heavily on if it's something they're wearing in public or private lmao

If it's public, neither of them are particularly fussy about what the other chooses to wear? They are ghosts nowadays, after all, and even if they weren't, they're more likely to defer to the other's preferences for clothing. So if they had to pick outfits for each other, it would likely just be something similar to what they normally wear.

If it's private... Well. Let's just say that both of them have a liking for how the other looks in lingerie ;)

Honestly, either of them would do it. It would absolutely take the other visibly shivering too, because both of them are TOO STUBBORN to admit that they're cold.

🔥 Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff!

Airell loves most of music genres, he is a bard himself. He loves when the songs tell tales. He doesn't like too repetitive stuff, like Bash the Dragon song. He enjoys the festival, though.

His favourite colours are green and purple/violet. He's not a fan of orange, but he admits that it can look nice sometimes.

Airell likes warmer climates, but chilly weather is also nice. They like snow and think it's a lot of fun, but they don't like being exposed to it for too long. This changes to indifference post HoT.

Airell loves hylek cuisine. Ever since they got a taste of chak, they love adding it to their own dishes. They don't like apples, but might eat them if there is nothing else to eat and they're hungry. Similarly to majority of my characters, Airell has a sweet tooth.

🍊 What is your OC’s favourite meal? Snack? Dessert? Drink? Any reasons behind this besides liking how it tastes?

Airell's favourite is the grub and chak stew! They love the crunchiness of the chitin and the chewiness of the insects themselves! Also they claim that chak goo is perfect for making jelly for desserts and they love baking. Airell always reminds everyone to be careful with chak, because they're quite tricky to work with in the kitchen.

What is your OC’s most hated food? Stuff they can’t stand to eat or drink?

brocolli. Airell absolutely hates the texture he would rather down an expired karka dipped in toxic waste from inquest labs than eat it. He has a similar reaction to brussells but simply because he hates how the name of that vegetable sounds.

🍑 Where is your OC’s favourite place to relax or calm down? Recount a story of their time spent in this place! What makes it so special to them?

Airell's special place would be the Ameyalli temple beneath Jaka Itzel. He was taught that it was a significant place for the Itzel, so he grew to love it too. In there he feels like he belongs and he forgets that he's actually all alone. Faith in the Jungle goddess makes his life easier. He feels the connection to the Jungle itself and he would hate to lose it. He always goes there when he's troubled or needs to relax.

Is there anywhere your OC hates to go to? Anywhere that stresses them out or have negative memories of?

The fallen and rotting tree that we know as the Heart of Thorns, the place where they lost someone they held dear. Airell feels like they've lost a part of themselves and they hate to even think of that place. The world is cruel, though. They have to come back there at some point and face what they've done, even if their actions were unintentional. Airell's reawakened the Tree and made it sprout new plant people. They have to take the responsibility, no matter how painful it is.

🧡 Who is your OC’s favourite person? Why is this person the top of their list and have they actually met them (an idol or rolemodel or celeb can be someone’s favourite after all!).

It's Trahearne. Trahearne taught Airell everything he knew, from necromancy to many unspoken rules of living in central Tyria. Trahearne was also the second person Airell has met that believed them when they said they were from the West. Airell also used to be Trahearne's apprentice for a while before they actually started dating. Even after HoT, when their paths...separated, so to speak... Airell never forgets Trahearne nor their feelings for him.

Who does your OC absolutely hate, the one person who they’d sell to Satan for one corn chip? Why do they loathe this person so?

There is a lot of self-loathing in Airell, but there is also a grudge against Nia. While they are thankful that she took over the Pact, they think she should have tried harder to save Trahearne.

They also hold a grudge against Rytlock because he is blamed for Eyris's death. As Airell is really close with her, knowing that Rytlock is responsible makes them on edge and the only reason they let him breathe is because Eyris asked them to stand down.

📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?

Airell loves talking about music and travel, as well as cooking. He also really enjoys listening to others talk about their passions, even if he doesn't know much about them himself.

What things bore your OC to tears and they couldn’t care less about? Why?

He's not a fan of politics. As a commander he had to suffer through it, but ever since he retired he is much happier. Another topic that bores him is golemancy. He thinks minions are much better, but I'd say it's just a necromancer's bias.

Additionally, he really doesn't like listening about human gods. Trahearne used to tell him a lot about them when they were traversing Orr together and ever since their parting Airell can't stand hearing about them even by accident. It's dredging up painful memories.

Usually a simple thanks! It's pretty straightforward and won't beat around the bush if it's thankful for something you've done for them or given them. And if a show of appreciation is warranted it'll likely buy you a trinket on its next adventure to bring back! Something that made it think of you~

💙— How do they say/show that they miss their partner?

If it had a partner, likely by sending small gifts and postcards from wherever it is. Lots of cheesy "wish you were here" postcards with the funniest, weirdest pictures it can find!

🍼— What are their thoughts on kids?

Neverrrrrrrrr, it can't physically have kids any more and it knows it's not responsible enough to take care of another sentient being. Its ranger pet didn't even survive a single dragon mission... Nope, no kids here ever.

🍽— Do they do a lot of cooking?

Tons! It does a lot of its own cooking and has since childhood. Granted, it can't make any five star gourmet meals, but it could handle having guests over and making a delicious dinner for everyone!

🛌— What’s their pillow talk usually like?

Well, since HoT it hasn't slept with anyone so best described as Rusty As FUCK, but back when it did have bedroom guests it was very enthusiastic and suave. Always knew the right thing to say, had no problem picking someone up at a bar and showing them a good night.

🍑— Random intimate headcanon!

Back when it spent time intimately with others, it loved the morning after. Usually got up first to make breakfast and would split something with whoever it spent the night with before they shower and leave.

🥀— How well would they handle a break up?

Completely fine honestly, some relationships just don't work out. Even before the Jungle Incident it had baggage and it knew plenty of others did too. Life moves on, you move on. It tended to prefer flings anyways for the ease of avoiding the baggage if possible.

Now, not even a fling or a one night stand could avoid its baggage.

🔪— How would they react to injury/misfortune befalling their partner? Do they feel at fault?

Oh it would be PISSED, considering the near-impossible chance of it ever even finding someone to love enough to trust with its true self...if that person were to ever be hurt in any way, physical or emotional, the cause will not survive. It will do everything in its power to keep someone precious to it safe and happy.

There's only one situation though where it would blame itself, and it would thankfully be a hard one to come across. And that's an option that only became horrifyingly clear to it thanks to Jormag. Turns out when your body is no longer your soul's true home, it qualifies as an empty vessel. No ownership left truly. And it's an awfully cozy, tempting home to lodge any willpower and intention into...

Ooh, all righty, tyty!! :D You get one fact for everyone from the Storm Warband, since there's six of them!

🖊 - Lifa is technically a fugitive from the Citadel at the moment, thanks to her working closely with Bangar during Icebrood. Luckily for her, there really isn't anyone actively looking for her despite this--so she has to be careful but isn't really all that likely to be caught.

🖊 - Weylon sometimes stops by Cio and Ari's shop in Lion's Arch. It's ostensibly to pick up new equipment/weapons, but it's also a very clumsy attempt at reconnection from someone who a) doesn't know what the heck he's doing and b) still doesn't really think he deserves anyone's forgiveness. Cio's the one who helps him, when he comes in. Ari hasn't talked to him yet.

🖊 - Pol's magic, after his return from the Mists (which, in his case, means from the dead), very much straddles the line between ranger and necromantic magic. Considering that he learns the ways of the Untamed in Echovald shortly after coming back, which somewhat mask this, it's not something most people would notice--but if you're an expert in either type of magic, you might be able to pick up on something weird.

🖊 - Brook visits the Sanctum for the first time at some point in the period between LWS4 and Icebrood. They come back every once in a while to check on it and spend time there, and they end up befriending Nenah. On a related side note: they're, despite their devotion to Kormir, not particularly bothered by the gods' departure. They are bothered by the fact that the majority of them left with no intention to say anything about it.

🖊 - Casca's first job after escaping the Flame Legion was as a bodyguard, more or less, for a Priory expedition to investigate some of the ruins in Lornar's Pass. It didn't pay particularly well, but also not particularly poorly, and she enjoyed it, so she ended up taking on a lot of work with the Priory. After the three orders became the Pact, she was an extra hand there as well, almost serving the same way Nisha did for a bit--with the group but yet not really--but a lot more come-and-go than xe ever was.

🖊 - Ari is one of the first Whispers agents to make contact with the Order of Shadows, right at the beginning of PoF. (She's surprisingly stealthy for being a nearly-9-foot-tall, mostly-white, cat creature, haha.) She understands their take on the Joko situation (that it's entrenched in people's way of living at this point, and fixing the problem he created isn't as simple as killing him), but she also befriends Maya (another OC of mine) and understands her take on the situation (that it may not be simple but a stalemate also isn't tenable). She gives Kito a bit of a headache, lmao, but it's still a good start for reestablishing connections between the two orders, and Kerra further solidifies that relationship when she arrives.

Lasair is actually pretty frightened and as worried as Ford is over the Commander stuff, she simply responds in a far more ‘fight over flight’ manner, and prefers to run full tilt at everything in her path. Needless to say, she has absolute headbutted a charr and pretended to be fine afterwards

Flaíthríann

Flaíthri’s ship, functions similarly to the ships in Stardust and Treasure Planet, and he actually favours flying into thunderstorms and other difficult conditions - claiming it makes him a better pilot. His crew have other opinions on it.

he primarily sells charged items from these thunderstorm flights to be used in research and crafting.

Lódtaigh 

Loddy was actually a healer in the Pact before the whole Branded thing. He was a vicious healer, and probably had half of the squad he was assigned to terrified, and he is absolutely the healer that swears, curses, screams at and has the enemy as terrified and cowed as his team though, so that’s a plus! :D 

Can’t get injured if your healer’s screaming loud enough to scare the dead!

Taihneford

Since being shot, Ford has a scar on his throat that lights up whenever he uses his fire breathing skills, and, especially when the scar was fresh - kept choking on the flames momentarily til he could essentially cough them away from his lungs and where they were supposed to be. His voice has become scratchy and hoarse, and he needs more breaks to help his lungs recover, smoke spewing out of the corners of his mouth

he’ll likely have a scratching voice and this issue til the end of the Season
