🌱VEGAN DIY MASK for YOUTHFUL🌿SKIN. As we're transitioning seasons & gearing up for central heating, hotter showers or baths, cold weather & a bunch of moisturizers & lotions that aren't all properly pH balanced to suit the skin... we have to be aware & work a little harder at keeping the skin hydrated & moisturized. . Your friend Alexandra has a suggestion today that's not only going to accomplish the above, but the recipe is suited for sensitive skin AND is Vegan-friendly. Couldn't ask for more, right? . TAG A FRIEND to share the awareness & spread the good jooj. And please remember to always test-patch any new recipe or new product (in general) on a small area of skin first, ideally around the jaw close to the earlobe. In case your skin doesn't love the ingredients, that's the least visible part of the face so it can be easily hidden. Apply to the face avoiding the eye areas & leave for 20-30 minutes. Do once a week, every week (at least during the fall-winter months ahead). The antioxidants in avocado will help detoxify the skin while the healthy fats will help moisturize & reduce inflammation. Aloe is incredibly soothing & will do a great job moisturizing. Aloe is fantastic even for oily & acne-prone skin, since its light texture is made up of mostly water. Brewer's yeast is derived from a simple one-celled fungus. It's a good source of selenium, chromium, protein & lots of B vitamins. ✨DIY Hair Removing Wax 🐝 (NO strips needed). Since posting this video last year, new friends joined us & they've been asking for a recipe like it. This is also in response to the friends who commented on my shaving video, asking for a wax alternative (shaving btw is still my preferred method for hair-removal). If you've seen this video last year, have you tried the recipe by any chance? If not - how do you usually remove facial hair? ____________________________________ 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃 to spread the love. ____________________________________ This is the best DIY wax recipe I've known of so far & here are the ingredients: 1 cup granulated sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon honey 2 tablespoons water 10 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil (The oil ➡️ helps reduce irritation & inflammation. My skin can get pretty sensitive, so I use this to help calm & soothe). Applying a clean, organic (as pure as possible) Aloe Vera gel afterwards, has also made a world of difference! I skip applying other skincare layers afterwards & simply follow with my usual moisturizer. The Aloe gel I use is from @skyorganics.us ____________________________________ Some key takeaways are: 1. Start with clean skin & make sure your hands are washed as well. 2. Make sure the wax is & stays in pliable form, but it’s not too hot to burn your skin. This is very important! 3. Always start with a small patch of hair/skin first, ideally close to the ear, around the jawline. In case any irritation occurs, that area will be least visible. Wait at least a few minutes before moving on to the rest of the face, to make sure you know how your skin is handling it. 4. Pull the wax off firmly & rapidly, in the opposite direction of hair growth. 5. The amazing antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties in garlic REALLY help cut down pimple size & lifetime. While there’s a little sting, there shouldn’t be any discomfort. If you experience that, rinse off. _________________________________ TIP no. 2: Olive oil. Italian beauties are obsessed with olive oil. They cook with it, put it on their salads and... their face, body, hair, nails & baths too. Olive oil is an amazing moisturizer & hair conditioner. It’s also RICH in antioxidants that fight the signs of aging. My mom has been putting olive oil on her face since I was a little girl & seriously, Nobody thinks she’s 67. . 1 thing to keep in mind though📍is that the oleic acid in olive oil is fantastic for dry skin, not necessarily oily and/or acne skin. If you tend to break out easily, I recommend sticking to using it only on hair ends, baths & dry areas of the body, like heels & elbows. Simply put: Retinol is more suitable for sensitive skin & as you’re getting used to it. Retinoid is Vitamin A available by prescription & tends to be more aggressive. Typically sold as tretinoin, it’s particularly good for oily skin & skin tolerant to Retinol. USE Retinol/Retinoids in the PM, or high SPF is a MUST! Vitamin A becomes unstable in ☀️. . Vitamin C is integral in the production of collagen & a very potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radical damage. . Vitamin E has antioxidant properties EVERYONE needs.
