Park Ah-reum was born on September 1st, 1994 in Apgujeong, Seoul, South Korea. The second oldest of three daughters, she was born to two entertainment industry moguls. As the daughter of pop icon Ah-young Kim and renowned director Park Junghoon, and hailing from a family of actors, Ah-reum and her sisters were pretty much expected to go into entertainment one day. Ah-reum would get her start as a child actress and model, often appearing on screen alongside her mother.

In 2005, the family would move from their ritzy apartment in seoul to Palm Beach—one, for a change of scenery, and two, for Ah-reum to get a chance at furthering her career. After a few modeling gigs, Ah-reum scored a contract with Disney, and the family was quick to relocate to California. However, in 2006, Ah-reum and her older sister were persuaded to audition for SM ENTERTAINMENT alongside one of their friends. Ever the “momager,” Ah-young allowed the girls to audition, and they passed. There, they trained alongside the future members of GIRLS’ GENERATION and even met their future bandmate, KIM EUNMI. After only training for a year, however, the girls ended up leaving the company. They returned to california, and Ah-reum continued acting.

Then, in early 2008, Ah-reum and her sister were scouted off the streets again, this time by CSJ ENTERTAINMENT. A medium sized company, they had recognizable 1st generation names under their belt such as CODE RED and THE DREAM. The girls auditioned again, and yet again, they made it through. AS a trainee, Ah-reum modeled frequently, appearing in quite a lot of CFs. She also had bit parts in dramas, and appeared in music videos for Code Red, The Dream, and other groups such as GIRLS’ GENERATION and SHINEE. She, along with her sister and another soon-to-be member of DI-VERSE, JUNG MINA, were also backup dancers for the former.

In late 2009, CSJ began plans for another girl group, teasing the possibility on their website. Slated for debut in the summer of 2010 and meant to have nine members, the agency was quick to choose promising trainees for the new lineup. Ah-reum was known for her visuals and surprising rap skills, and she and her sister were both talented dancers. As a result, they and another trainee, KIM EUNMI, were three of the first members chosen to debut in what would become DI-VERSE.

The lineup went through a couple changes before landing on what would be it’s final one in early 2010. With their debut coming close, the girls were pushed even harder by CSJ. However, in may, Ah-reum went through a particularly severe anxiety attack, and was thus diagnosed with anxiety disorder, bipolar depression, and OCD. As a result, she was forced to temporarily pull from the debut lineup. Not wanting to debut DI-VERSE without Ah-reum, CSJ pushed the group’s debut to the end of 2010, before pushing it into 2011 to allow ample time for Ah-reum to rest. She didn’t train for 5 months, and ended up returning in October. At that point, a debut that year was virtually impossible.

Into 2011, Ah-reum continued training with the rest of DI-VERSE, appearing in more music videos and CFs alongside the members as their debut approached. And finally, after 3 years and a delayed debut, Ah-reum was revealed as the FIRST MEMBER of DI-VERSE, debuting as the group’s leader, main dancer, lead rapper, sub-vocalist, and visual.

PARK HYE-WON was born on december 8th, 1996 as the youngest daughter of entertainment industry moguls PARK JUNGHOON and KIM AH-YOUNG. the former is an award winning director and filmmaker, while the latter is a world renowned pop star and actress who began her career in the eighties. hye-won is the youngest sister of PARK DAHYUN and PARK AH-REUM, who are both members of DI-VERSE. from a young age, hye-won had an interest in the entertainment industry, developing a love for singing, dancing, and acting through her family members. she grew up listening to various genres, and eventually found out about bands such as NIRVANA, PARAMORE, LED ZEPPELIN, KISS, and THE PRETTY RECKLESS through her father and the internet.

at the age of 5, hye-won began gymnastics. at the suggestion of her coach, she eventually started competitive and sideline cheerleading in 2005, after her family moved to florida. she also had some acting experience, as she starred in plays and musicals throughout her school years, and had appearances in the tv shows that her family would appear in. in addition to that, hye-won also gained notoriety as a cheerleader, appearing on the cover of AMERICAN CHEERLEADER in 2009 and becoming quite the celebrity after her numerous world championship wins.

hye-won grew up wanting to start a band, inspired by TAYLOR MOMSEN and JOAN JETT, but as she continued dance lessons alongside her sisters, she slowly started to develop an interest in the k-pop industry. when her family moved back to seoul in 2010, hye-won joined a dance academy. three years later, in february 2013, she was cast off the street by YG ENTERTAINMENT.

she would pass auditions, and within hye-won’s first three months as a trainee, she was added to the potential lineup of YG’s new girl group, PINK PUNK. in june, she was introduced on the company’s youtube channel through clips of her dancing to “WHEN I GROW UP” and singing as she played the guitar, as well as through a photo and short profile. she appeared in various CFs afterwards, had cameos in various dramas, and even had vocals on songs by BIGBANG and 2NE1. however, just two months later, hye-won left YG, claiming that she wanted to finish high school in america before anything.

in may 2014, after hye-won’s graduation, she was cast again—this time by JYP ENTERTAINMENT. and, like before, she ended up passing auditions. as a trainee, hye-won would meet and become rather close with future bandmates SEOLHEE, RINA, and XIANGFEI. by may 2015, exactly a year after hye-won began training at JYP, she and seolhee were chosen to appear on the company’s survival show, SIXTEEN. due to her performance of “STILL INTO YOU,” hye-won found herself in the major group from the start. consistently a favored contestant due to her stage presence, skills, personality, and preexisting popularity, she went viral due to her performance during “DO IT AGAIN.” however, despite that, hye-won still failed to make it into the final lineup.

there was some backlash from hye-won’s fanbase, but in january 2016, she appeared again as a contestant on PRODUCE 101. like before, hye-won was popular among viewers, being chosen as the center for “PICK ME” and consistently receiving high rankings. however, halfway through the show, hye-won was accused by anti-fans of exploiting her family’s fame and using their wealth to make it into the industry. as a result, her rankings dipped severely for a moment, placing her in the twenties. despite that, after gaining sympathy from the public and being praised for her performances during “BANG BANG” and “24 HOURS,” hye-won eventually came in 2nd and finally debuted as a member of I.O.I.

following I.O.I’s disbandment in 2017, hye-won returned to JYP. news of a new girl group from the company had been swirling since early 2016, and she had already been apart of the group’s first lineup. it was rumored that the group could debut sometime in 2017, and hye-won’s fanbase hoped that she would be apart of it. turns out, she was, and on february 3rd, after 2 years of training, hye-won debuted as the LEADER and CENTER of SUPERSONIX.

First stop : Amsterdam

Arrivée sans encombres. Passage au passeport sans douleur non plus. Bon à quelques détail près, rien de grave juste des observations…

Déjà, Schipol, c’est grand. Il me faut bien 15mn de marche pour aller d’une porte à l’autre. C’est bien balisé ceci dit, j’aime bien, des gros panneaux jaunes bien visibles avec des flèches qui veulent dire quelque chose, pas comme le métro à Paris.

Autre chose, il y a pas mal de soldes ici. On peut par exemple acheter des bulbes de tulipes pour pas cher. Alternativement, on peut aussi acheter du gouda.

Honnêtement je ne me voyais pas vraiment me trimballer ni avec l’un ni avec l’autre pendant une semaine à Vegas.

Dans un éclair de lucidité j’ai donc fait l’impasse sur ces achats non essentiels.

Une nana habillée comme une hôtesse de l’air, sérieusement, de la tête aux pieds, présente son passeport au premier contrôle dans la ligne et une jeune femme lui demande alors : « personnel navigant ? » l’autre réponds « what ? » l’autre de redire « personnel navigant ? » et l’autre lui hurle dessus genre « NOOO !!! ». Super space. Puis un gars me passe devant dans la queue, déjà j’aime pas trop ça (top10) mais le mec à sans doute le record du nombre de cadenas attachés à un sac. Certes il avait un sac à dos balezes avec pas mal de compartiments, mais quand même, 4 cadenas… il m’énervait d’autant plus.

Je décide de manger le petit sandwich jambon beurre que je me suis préparé avant de partir ce matin. On peut pas dire que j’ai une faim de loup, d’ailleurs, l’idée c’est plutôt de manger le moins possible lors de ces longs voyages, mais bon, je l’avais fait alors… je ne mangerais probablement pas avant encore 2/3 heures de la bonne nourriture d’avion (en plus, je crois que je vole sur KLM alors la gastronomie néerlandaise, c’est pas ouf). Aussitôt le sandwich englouti, me viens une petite soif et je me dis tiens, j’irais bien boire un de ces jus frais avec des noms bizarres genre « the herbal doctor », « the mango washing machine », « the cucumber and ginger turbo duo », j’en passe.

Je finis pas trouver un endroit qui en fait, et convaincu par les effets positifs du gingembre (cf. yesterday) je commande le « ginger vitamin shield ». Pas mauvais. A 9€ le jus, j’ai envie de dire, encore heureux. Y a du curcuma, qui donne un bon petit goût de… terre.

Ah, une petite balle pour les hollandais. Honnêtement, on ne connait pas beaucoup d’hollandais connus, si ? A part Max Verstappen, qui n’est pas si sympathique. Bon, mon point c’est de dire qu’on dirait qu’ils vivent un peu dans leur monde, les hollandais. Alors je sais que un hall d’aéroport, c’est un peu le défilé des clichés, Paris ni échappe pas, mais Amsterdam c’est gratiné. Et donc tout ça pour dire quoi. Ils ont cette marque de chocolat qui s’appelle Tony qui semble être érigée comme un monument national - et j’avoue qu’une année, de passage dans cet aéroport, j’ai cede aux sirènes du marketing en craquant pour une de ces tablettes que j’ai ramenée fièrement aux filles, et bien, verdict, absolument dégueulasse. Tu prends le premier prix de chez Intermarché au fin fond de la Franche Comté, je pense qu’il est meilleur.

Donc Tony c’est non.

Encore un truc que j’ai oublié. Maillot de bain. Il fait moins de 10 degrés à Vegas mais parfois les piscines sont chauffées. Et puis il y a aussi un sauna au Westin. J’ai bien un short pour courir cela dit, il pourra peut-être se trouver une nouvelle vocation. « Ma vie de short, du running au sauna », une autobiographie émouvante.

Dreamed my friend SM lived in this crazy old dilapidated 7-story house that had a full library. Sadly she was still dealing with mental health & drug issues that made her pretty unstable. I was walking on eggshells around her

Irgendwer Ideen für Moodboard-Vibes, -headcanons oder -Konzepte für Willi? Sonst schau ich mal, was ich machen kann.

Ansonsten musste ich letztens mal wieder daran denken, wie Willi sich verliebt. Canon Willi fasziniert mich in dieser Hinsicht, weil? Er ist zwei Jahre lang mit Melanie zusammen, und er liebt sie wirklich sehr. Manchmal will uns CF vorgaukeln, dass die Pygmäen, vor allem Willi und Fred, üble Machos sind, so mit mehreren Freundinnen gleichzeitig und so, aber ich sage, das ist alles Quatsch. Willi ist mit Melanie zusammen, nicht, weil sie das hübscheste Mädchen der Klasse ist, nicht, weil er sie erobern will oder so einen Quatsch, sondern weil er sie aufrichtig liebt. Sonst wären sie ja nicht am Anfang ewig lang heimlich zusammen, sondern Willi würde dafür sorgen, dass alle es wissen. Sonst wären sie niemals so lange zusammen. Willi liebt Melanie über alles, und er respektiert sie, und es ist auch für ihn fast ein Unglück, als er sich in Nana verliebt und Melanie das Herz brechen muss. 

Ich denke oft über diese Nana-Sache nach. (Nicht zu genau, weil sonst muss ich mich über den riesigen Altersunterschied aufregen, der wohl auch nur wieder zeigen soll, was für ein cooler Macker Willi doch ist oder?? Idk???) Aber. Willi macht mit Melanie Schluss, obwohl deutlich wird, dass er sie immer noch liebt. Aber er macht Schluss, weil er jetzt Nana liebt, und ich weiß nicht. Ich glaube, er muss etwas Gutes greifen, wenn er es vor der Nase hat. Er muss so oft so sehr darum kämpfen, glücklich zu sein, oder zumindest nicht unglücklich, dass er die Chance mit Nana ergreifen muss. Und sie ist vielleicht sein Ticket raus, weg von Zuhause. Und er liebt sie, das muss doch was bedeuten?

Natürlich liebt er Melanie auch immer noch. Aber ich glaube, Willi weiß nicht, dass das geht - zwei Leute gleichzeitig lieben - und deshalb geht er mit Nana. Und deshalb kann er Melanie nicht mal mehr ansehen, als sie getrennt sind. Und deshalb braucht es nur einen katastrophalen Abend, um die beiden wieder zusammenzubringen.

Willi liebt nicht oft, glaube ich, aber er liebt tief. Er ist vielleicht sogar einer dieser Menschen, die niemals ganz aufhören einen Menschen zu lieben, egal, was vorgefallen ist oder wieviel Zeit vergangen ist. Und ist das nicht irgendwie wunderbar? Ein Charakter, der so viel Schlechtes erlebt hat, dessen Zuhause in vielerlei Hinsicht so lieblos ist, so ein Charakter, so durchdrungen von Liebe, dass er sie nichtmal loslassen kann, wenn sie eigentlich vorbei ist? Ich könnte heulen.

Ich liebe Willi so sehr.
