sorry can't talk, too busy reading A Deadly Education and absolutely losing my mind about it
#how is naomi novik so good at writing. h o w#got a few chapters in like 'wow she did some good world building there I guess now we're set' no. the world is still being built.#new details every paragraph and i'm LIVING for it#started reading and I was like 'love the narrator/mc's snarky voice' but then you actually find out about who she is!!#not even her character development but just her CHARACTER asdfghjkl#naomi novik really said 'oh you wanted a snarky/manipulative/incredibly intelligent/stone cold bitch MC but you wanted her to be a woman?'#'done.'#and then delivered PERFECTION EVEN BEYOND THAT#I knew it would be good but my expectations have been shattered (in a good way) anyway.#I will be going to the bookstore for book 2 tomorrow and I'm not even done book 1#a deadly education#the scholomance
