My inspo while fighting jet lag

James Potter

- sorry, baby can’t handle jet lag at all

- he has his sleep schedule down to a science, so any straying from it is bad news

- I also don’t think he could ever sleep much on a plane cuz he’s just so big and the seats are so cramped

- 100% is either dead asleep at like 8 p.m. cuz it’s way later at home, or just lies awake for hours cuz it’s earlier at home

- if you try to keep him up, he’s probably still falling asleep, including standing up

- if he can’t sleep, he’ll go find a gym

Sirius Black

- not affected at all

- his sleep schedule is fucked as is, so he can adjust super easily

- he can also sleep anywhere

- doesn’t mind being up for hours straight to adjust to the schedule

- he’s the one keeping you awake or trying to put you to sleep

- he probably needs to see a sleep specialist

Remus Lupin

- can adjust, but doesn’t handle time change well

- it makes him more tired, cranky, restless, etc.

- travel is also really hard on his body so I think he already has some help in the sleep department

- will deny you his prescription sleep meds no matter how much you beg

- hates jet lag a lot and will complain about it frequently

- not a napper either, so he’s really screwed

Peter Pettigrew

- handles it okay

- doesn’t mind staying up even if it’s late back home or going to bed even though it’s early at home because he’ll find a way to stay entertained or fall asleep

- 100% naps all the time which does him a lot of favors

- probably sleeps the entire plane ride, even though he’ll take the worst seat so u don’t have to

- pillow for you at any time

- will get cranky though because I think Pete likes routine

Lily Evans

- handled it poorly but is too proud to admit it

- baby girl tries so so so hard to stay awake or go to bed based on the location, but she really struggles cuz she needs proper sleep

- will be fine for while until it suddenly catches up to her and then she’s a mess

- May cry or be snippy when she’s really tired

- feels bad about it after she adjusts and reluctantly apologizes to you

- anti-napper which doesn’t help either

Marlene McKinnon

- jet lag fears her

- need to stay awake? Caffeine

- need to fall asleep? Running herself ragged (literally)

- honestly too overeager to sleep much anyways so any jet lag is inconsequential

- Queen of the Power Nap- on the bus, in a cab, while you’re using the bathroom, etc.

- 100% out of commission for a few days when she gets home

Dorcas Meadowes

- jet lag also fears her

- she has perfected jet lag prevention to perfection. Probs starts sleep training herself like a month in advance

- refuses to use caffeine, melatonin, etc.

- does so much research on jet lag

- tool kit for prevention in her carry-on: sleep mask, headphones, books, etc.; makes one for you too

- never had it

Mary MacDonald

- screws her up bad

- if she can’t sleep she’s reading with her book light and if she’s exhausted she’s falling asleep at dinner

- only sleeps cuddled up to you, so she doesn’t sleep on the plane

- whiny af

- will give you kisses to apologize

- always thinks she’ll be fine but never is

Regulus Black

- honestly jet lag affects him really bad and he makes it your problem

- will bitch on the flight, if he’s tired, and if he can’t sleep

- would never step on an airplane by choice, that’s for sure

- will brood in his diary about it

- might blame you for the jet lag because the trip “was your idea”

- then he’ll feel bad about it once he recovers and lavish you in love and gifts and cuddles
