Naruto and Gaara are soulmates. They are in a happy queerplatonic relationship if they're not romantically involved, in every AU. They hold hands, cuddle, maybe kiss and make out publicly bc neither was taught about traditionally socially acceptable ways to show affection to friends (and I can say from experience that kissing/making out with close friends is the shit), and no one can change my mind.

Day 26 - Dark Another Naruto-related piece, this time featuring my favourite character. After seeing Gaara’s transformation from an innocent child, to a villain, and then a good guy moved me. Ever since then, I’ve had a thing for anime villains who turn good. Gaara was literally a walking example of how Naruto could have turned out if he hadn’t had any friends whatsoever (luckily he had Iruka). I remember shipping NaruHina when I waa younger and did not mind they ended up together. But I think you helped me like some other ships with some of your fics and headcanons. You helped me understand why some people like Sasuke x Naruto and Naruto x Kakashi. Did you say once that Naruto is like sunshine when paired with some other people like Itachi, Kakashi and Sasuke? I also liked when you said one time that Sasuke when he shows skin is probably doing it for Naruto, he he. I like how some people headcanon Naruto as genderfluid and bisexual like Loki in the new show. I also liked some of your fics abour yandere Shikimaru. What is my point? Some of your Naruto fics and headcanons make me nostalgic for Naruto of the past. I also like that you seem to think, unless I am mistaken that Naruto is like a stepford smiler. Like that trope stepford smiler. I do not mean that Naruto has been killed by a husband he might have and replaced with a robot like that Stepford wives movie. Naruto hiding and suppressing lots of pain reminds me of Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket or Steven Universe from Steven Universe. Have you seen the Fruits Basket reboot? I loved the last season so far. Anyway back to Naruto, I think you expanded some of my ships in Naruto or influenced my liking of Sasuke x Naruto, Naruto x Kakashi, Naruto x Shikimaru and maybe other Naruto ships. Do you ship Naruto with anyone else? If 15 year or 12 year Naruto was transported into Inuyasha, how do you think he and Sessomaru would interact?

Always happy to help expand some horizons and open people up to a variety of ships.

And yeah I've always been of the opinion that Naruto is cheerful in self-defense.

I'm also fond of NarutoGaara and am even open to reading NarutoSai.

Sesshomaru would take one look at all the orange Naruto wears and while he wouldn't outright turn around and walk the other way he'd meander his path a good ways around all of that.
