"Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward."
The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band
2001, Constellation (Bandcamp)
22 years ago Montreal’s other iconic prodigiously-membered post-rock band released their second LP. It’s not easy keeping all of these pro-Zion-but-not-Zionists straight, so I’ve helpfully listed and ranked each of the musicians who have passed through this constantly shifting collective from first to least-first. THE CW NETWORK SETS SUPER TUESDAYS THIS SPRING AS “SUPERMAN & LOIS” RETURNS AND “GOTHAM KNIGHTS” DEBUTS ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023
“Superman & Lois” Season Three Takes Flight at 8:00pm ET/PT
New Heroes Will Rise When “Gotham Knights” Premieres at 9:00pm ET/PT
The CW Network today announced the third season of the hit drama SUPERMAN & LOIS—the network’s most-watched series of 2022—will premiere on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the series debut of GOTHAM KNIGHTS (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
“The new season of The CW’s biggest show SUPERMAN & LOIS alongside our most exciting new series GOTHAM KNIGHTS will make Tuesdays a can’t-miss night of action,” said Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment, The CW Network. “With the iconic characters and gritty streets that everyone knows, fans will experience the best season yet of SUPERMAN & LOIS and be introduced to a hunted group of crime fighters out for vengeance, following in Batman’s footsteps on GOTHAM KNIGHTS.”
In GOTHAM KNIGHTS, Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) is framed for killing the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief who was born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), a streetwise and acerbic engineer who can fix anything, and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara), a clever transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With the charismatic and hard-charging District Attorney Harvey Dent (Misha Collins) and the GCPD hot on their trail, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable coder Stephanie Brown (Anna Lore), and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelley (Navia Robinson). But our Knights will soon learn there is a larger, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched fugitives must band together to become its next generation of saviors known as the GOTHAM KNIGHTS.
From Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM KNIGHTS is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams. Fiveash and Stoteraux serve as showrunners and executive produce the series alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman. Abrams also serves as co-executive producer. Danny Cannon directed and served as an executive producer on the pilot, along with David Madden. GOTHAM KNIGHTS is based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger.
Season three of SUPERMAN & LOIS opens weeks after Superman’s blowout defeat of Ally Allston. Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating “the secret” can be, as Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough. Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan (Alex Garfin) discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry (Wolé Parks) is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie (Tayler Buck). Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Kyle (Erik Valdez) redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah (Inde Navarrette) explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh) reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.
Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERMAN & LOIS is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Todd Helbing, Sarah Schechter, Brent Fletcher, and Geoff Johns.
TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 2023

US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, an iconic champion of women's rights, has died at the age of 87 from Pancreatic cancer. Here are some of the response to a death of such a remarkable cultural and political figure.
“Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. We will forever remember her as a towering legal figure of superb skill, a ground-breaking seeker of justice, a tireless advocate for human rights, and an inspiration to women and girls everywhere.
My deepest sympathies go out to her family and all those touched by her loss.”-Karen Pierce, UK ambassador to US
“We have lost one of the most extraordinary Justices ever to serve on the Supreme Court. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life and landmark opinions moved us closer to a more perfect union. And her powerful dissents reminded us that we walk away from our Constitution’s promise at our peril.”-Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States.
“God, every time I think we've surely hit peak horrible since 2016, the world finds a way to say, "Hold my beer."
“Une femme d’exception s’en est allée. Ruth Bader Ginsburg a mené toute sa vie un combat universel pour la justice, l'égalité entre les femmes et les hommes et le respect des droits fondamentaux. Son immense héritage continuera de nous inspirer.”-Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France.
We lost unforgettable woman and legal legend yesterday. Let's try to not also lose what's left of a functional democracy in the US in 2020, okay? 😥”-Sylvia de Mars
“Imagine being such a beacon of exceptional achievement that little girls grow up celebrating you in your lifetime, but your death is so political people barely finish saying yeah she was great before pivoting to the fight over your successor....”-Janine Gibson
“What an amazing woman we have lost with Ruth Bader Ginsburg
She has been an awesome light & resistance to the ever encroaching darkness & power of division and fascism. She was a warrior for equality & freedom. We cannot allow her fight to have been in vain ✊”-Bex Stinson
“I honestly cannot express right now how I feel hearing the news about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Her impact has been truly astonishing and the work she did for women’s rights is almost unparalleled.
RIP to the incredible and always notorious RGB.”-Natalie Silvey
“Justice Ginsburg carried the weight of gatekeeping our constitutional rights for 27 years. Do not let your fear and devastation erase your celebration of her life - you'll need your will, your strength, and her inspiration to fight for the value of your own - now, more than ever.”-Feminist Next Door
“It is an extraordinarily sad thing thing to wake up to the news that Ruth Bader Ginsberg has died. She was an incredible warrior for human rights and for justice, the the world is diminished by her passing.”-Nancy Kelley
“Trailblazer, glass ceiling smasher and an example exceptionalism in it's truest form. RBG helped blaze an irreversible trail for gender equality that will forever shape the course of American history.Gone but never never forgotten!”-June Sarpong OBE
“Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the kind of scholar and patriot you get excited about explaining to your kids. The kind of person who you say “who knows, one day you could be HER”. I hope you rest well, RBG, you must have been tired from changing the world.”-Mindy Kaling
“Her rest is earned. It is our turn to fight.”-Kerry Washington
“Unafraid to call out injustices and use her platform - inside and outside the courtroom - to push for change. A trailblazer for Human Rights and Equality in so many ways, there will never be another.”-Grainne Teggart
“Deeply saddened by the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
She was an incredible legal mind and a champion of justice. She gave generations of women and girls the belief that they too could fight for a more equal world.
She will be sorely missed.”-Sir Keir Starmer, MP & Leader of the UK Labour Party.
And here are some of her quotes:
“I don’t say women’s rights—I say the constitutional principle of the equal citizenship stature of men and women.” - Ruth Bader Ginsburg
"No woman of means will ever lack access to abortion in the United States"- US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
“When I'm sometimes asked, when will there be enough women on the Supreme Court, and I say, 'When there are nine,' people are shocked. But there'd been nine men, and nobody's ever raised a question about that.” ― Ruth Bader Ginsburg
“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made." - Ruth Bader Ginsburg

idk anything about the show but you always post about it so: favorite Survivor contestant/season?
Anon I love you 🥺
... but you’re about to hate me because I simply cannot narrow down past my top 4 players. They are:
Natalie Anderson, winner of San Juan Del Sur and coming up on WaW. She played hands down my favorite winning game in SJDS. Her timing and ability to maneuver through alliances to make big moves without being the biggest threat will never fail to amaze me. She’s also SUCH a good character, her fight with Rocker and her ordering food from Probst during the challenge never gets old. I cannot believe I see her on my screen in a little over two weeks.
Parvati Shallow, 6th on Cook Islands, winner of Micronesia, runner up of Heroes vs. Villains, and coming up on WaW. She is a Survivor legend in every sense of the word and is just so damn good at the game. She’s absolutely hilarious, an all time great social, strategic, and physical player, and I really hope she can escape her frankly MASSIVE target in this upcoming season.
Sandra Diaz Twine, winner of Pearl Islands and Heroes vs. Villains, 15th on Game Changers. THE QUEEN STAYS QUEEN, ADIOS. The only two time winner to date and one of Survivor’s most iconic characters. Everything that comes out of her mouth is pure gold and her play style is so unique. She’ll have the same problem as Parvati in 40 but I just hope she can make the merge.
Kelley Wentworth, 14th on SJDS, 4th on Second Chance, 10th on Edge of Extinction. Wentworth my QUEEN really went from premerger random hot girl to the biggest jury threat on Second Chance and I really wish I lived in a world where she won that final immunity. Her idol play remains the most iconic and I love how hard she plays the game whether she’s on the bottom or the top. Watching her boot in EoE was heartbreaking but I loved her more aggressive strategic play that season. I honestly don’t see her coming back but she’s proven herself to be a legend on the show and I love her sm.
Anywaysss my answer for season will be much shorter: there’s simply no better season than Heroes vs. Villains. Without a doubt the most stacked cast in the history of the show with the most exciting gameplay ever. WaW could top it but I seriously doubt it with Probst’s boner for idols/advantages taking over the game.
