This is a alpha beta omega au~ Reader is assumed omega in this but you are free to decide for yourself~
. ⋅˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ ⋅˚̣- : ✧ : – ⭒ ⊹ ⭒ – : ✧ : -˚̣⋅ .
To begin, to make this easy let us establish this Dragon Slayer is an alpha. If you did not know you might suspect he was a beta with how he is so careless and goofy. Not your stereotypical stern tough guy alpha.
Natsu doesn’t care if you see him as an alpha or not, and he doesn’t care if someone doesn’t believe he’s an alpha. His status as a dragon slayer and member of Fairy Tail is his pride not something decided by birth or gender. Gender, who cares about that, are you strong or funny or nice? Thus goes his priorities.
So needless to say he’s not really into the whole, he has to court you by rules xyz due to his secondary gender. He’s going to court you how he believes a dragon slayer and guild member (because you will be adopted into Fairy Tale if you're not in it already) should be treated.
It might have taken him a long while to realize he wants to court you though. At first he just knew he liked being around you, and isn’t that enough? Spending life going on adventures and laughing together are most important to him.
Once or twice he feels like frowning or growling when he sees someone get really close to you. Not just proximity wise because he too is a skinship with all the friends kind of person. But seeing someone attempt to get close to you romantically or emotionally and nudge him aside and out of frame? He doesn’t understand why but it burns him up inside.
I hate to say it but he tries to train it off, or just cling onto you and insist on starting a job right now. No he hasn’t picked one and yes it might be midnight but it's the perfect time to start a quest! No really-
He may go and confide in Master or Mira Jane. He knows he may get teased for it but he can’t figure these emotions out, and it's imperative to him to know because it's becoming stronger. His anger (its jealousy), his thoughts about you, why your scent is smelling sweeter and sweeter to him, all of it.
Bless this poor boy's soul because he really couldn’t figure out why he was “hungry” when he smelled your scent. He thought he needed to eat more food or fire because we don't eat friends. Thankfully they explained it's a physical and emotional longing to be closer with you.
This was not his first birds-and-bees talk but it was the one that made him realize he wanted you, and without them having to say more Natsu realized he wanted you as his mate.
Thankfully he does know from seeing others do it, although he thought it stupid at the time, the basics on how to court someone
His heart cannot take this he's so jittery and happy as he bounds up to you, if it's night time he may have broken in but that's okay! To hand you some hand picked flowers and a snack. He’s pretty forward about this, not subtle on starting the courting process.
“Why? Because I want you to be my mate partner too of course!” Queue big happy grin
Lucy has helped him go shopping several times for you, blankets for your now shared nest. Food gifts galore.
No seriously everywhere you go, and you go to all places together now unless you ask for some space. He gets you food.
You looked away for two seconds and he disappeared. Don't worry he’ll be back in ten minutes with something scrumptious for you.
If he has to go on a mission without you, or if you decide to take some time to yourself, expect a small little sweet or scone to be placed on your desk or in your hands. They are often a shade of pink, or dragon themed so you’d think of him.
Not huge on you wearing his clothes, with the exception of his scarf. He adores seeing you in it before he started courting you because he hadn’t realized yet, now he is obsessed wrapping it around you both as you cuddle. Or do anything for that matter.
Natsu did realize it's not practical while walking only after clotheslining you once…or twice…
He is super attentive to your needs, perhaps not romantically, but he knows you’re hungry before you do.
Shivering? Not around him he knew to warm you before you knew you were chilled.
Tired, and he somehow has drafted you for a cuddle and nap session or has told the other guild members to go away so you can nest in a corner where he can keep an eye and make sure you are safe
Guild member pissed you off, he’s already squaring up to fight with you
You are feeling needy? He's right there giving you a hug
It all stems from his fighting experience funnily enough. He’s gotten really really good at reading body language because of it and he has yours down to an art form.
Natsu is strong and independent despite his love of skinship and kinship. However he will always be longing to be just a little bit closer to you and his gifts sometimes reflect as much.
Never in his life before would he have wanted to buy a massage, but here he is getting vouchers for couples massages. He heard about it from Elfman and it was a lightbulb moment.
Matching funny hats at the amusement park
Small little quirky dates to places to do things together, like making matching earrings. Or a food tour of a town together, quality time is his utmost number one gift and treasure. It's the best thing you can give him too, volunteer to spend time together and he is over the moon.
This goes without saying but Natsu is above all else, protective. You are strong or weak, it doesn't change this, he will fight god and anyone who looks down on you or tries to hurt you. Even if it's a guildmate in a pre ordained face off, someone will need to hold him back. You are too precious to him to risk losing, so please stay by his side forever.

How Their Obsession Began: Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Laxus, and Freed(Yandere Omega Fairy Tail Men x Beta Female Reader)
Tumblr media
Natsu: Y/n L/n was Lucy's younger cousin by 5 years. Before Tenroujima she was only 11 and had just started getting the hang of her celestial magic. Natsu didn't think anything of her then. However after Tenroujima she was 18. Only a year younger then him physically and mentally.
She'd grown into a truly beautiful woman in that time to the point even he noticed. Plus she smell nice and cooked well. What made him start obsessing over her is that despite being an omega she treated as if he where an alpha or beta. Knowing that no job was to hard or physically taxing for him despite what others said. The day she asked him to go on mission with her that would be hard typically for an omega her fate was seal.
Tumblr media
Gray: Before Tenroujima he was practically her big brother or father. She'd only been 11 when he left so when he came back she was 18 and all grown up. She'd been the main one to keep the guild afloat while they were gone and been elected guild leader despite her young age 4 years before they returned.
He appreciated that and the fact she treated like he was as strong as he was and not just another weak omega. However what really got his attention was her new habit of stripping down to her underwear when she preformed ice magic. She used to always where extra layers but now even that was not enough, and plus her body matured. When he first saw her mature chest clad only bra he knew he was gonna have her, one way or another.
Tumblr media
Gajeel: Everyone thought it was her twin sister, Levi, he had a thing for but no. It was her he wanted. He'd wanted her since she first to kill him what he did to Levi and her friends before he was in fairy tail.
When Y/n had tracked him down she'd literally tried to do to him what he'd done to them. Natsu had to stop her. She didn't care that Gajeel was omega. She knew he was perfectly capable and strong. He knew what he had done was wrong too. Her attempted murder though of him seal her fate. He liked them murderous and short he guessed.
Tumblr media
Laxus: Y/n Dragneel kicked his ass. As one of the twin fire dragon slayer of fairy tail he knew she was strong but not so strong she knocked him out with one hit. Then she helped him up and said he was strong and hoped to fight him again some day but on good terms.
She didn't say for a omega or anything like that. Didn't call him evil or insult him. Just saw him as strong. That had the final nail in the coffin.
Tumblr media
Freed: He was not proud of his thoughts on Y/n Dreyar and her now adult body. She was Laxus's little sister and technically more then ten years younger then him, though physically and mentally only 4 after tenroujima, for goodness sake. Yet he could not shake his thoughts of how kind she was to him and how good she'd look naked.
Mirajane had sealed her fate though. She accidently locked the omega and beta in a small magic proof closet overnight. They spent practically the whole night pressed together. After that he knew he had to have her.

You sat looking out the front window, chin propped in your hands, as rain thrummed against the roof and streamed down the glass. It had been gray all day, storm clouds rolling in and swelling with rain. The news chattered quietly in the background, only being interrupted by the shuffling of Enji’s paper and the occasional rumble of thunder.
“Are you sure they’ll show up? The weather is only going to get worse” You said as lightning flashed with another crack of thunder, further accentuating your point.
“After that last performance, Toshinori and I are both geared for the warpath. They’ll be here, with smiles on their damn faces” Enji said, scent souring with irritation as his reading glasses slipped down his nose.
You moved from the chair by the window over to the couch, snuggling up against him and wrapping your arms around his bicep.
“Do you want me with you?” You asked, eyes trained on the tv as you pressed your cheek against his arm.
“No.” He snapped a little too forcefully, face lightly flushing as he folded his paper closed, “You will stay here. This job is confidential anyway”.
“Are you sure there isn’t another reason?” You teased, keeping your eyes forward as he glared at you.
“You know I don’t want that other Alpha around you. You don’t have to bring it up” He grumbled with a soft growl, throwing the paper onto the coffee table and shaking you off to get up and go to the kitchen.
You bit your lip to stifle a laugh, jealousy always looked cute on him. This big Alpha getting flustered and anxious, even if he kept a moderately tame exterior most of the time. But when his patients thinned, fuse burning to its end, it never ended well. There had been more than a few times some dumb Alpha had decided to be “too nice” as he called it. Enji always cooed so sweetly into your ear to leave the room and wait on the bed for him, Keigo and Touya growling and cursing at each other as they scrubbed blood from Enji’s expensive office rug the next morning. You also knew that it wasn’t just natural instincts flaring up. Guilt still hung heavy in the house after the failed family dinner the weekend before.
You and Fuyumi had been in the kitchen since late afternoon happily talking as you prepared everything for dinner, waiting for Shoto and Touya to show up as Natsuo had been here when you and Enji had gotten home from the store. The red-haired Alpha had immediately taken to the stairs, avoiding his second-oldest son like the plague.
“Hi Natsuo, did Fuyumi let you in?” You asked with a smile.
“This is my house. I have a key,” He snapped, his grey eyes sharp as stones. You watched his face grow flushed with anger when he spotted the fresh mark on your throat, teeth grinding together almost audibly.
“Right. Sorry about that,” You said quickly, wanting to get to the kitchen and away from this angry Alpha as quickly as possible.
“Don’t worry about Natsu’ He’s just..angry about mom” Fuyumi had said quickly in her brother's defense after you had asked her about the hostility. Natsuo hadn’t really come around again after his outburst at dinner that night, where the table was nearly flipped and almost everyone was left in shock. Except for Enji and Touya. The eldest brother rolled his eyes and got up to head out for a cigarette. Enji simply sighed and went back to eating, asking Fuyumi how her studies were going as if his son hadn’t just gone beet red from anger. Screaming about how Enji couldn’t just replace Rei like this. Like she never meant anything to him. Just thinking about the cold rage in his dark grey eyes as he glared between you and his father had your stomach twisting
The sound of the freezer door slamming made you jump. You did feel a little bad teasing him. He had been so tense all day. You made to get up and go to the kitchen and apologize but a heavy knock at the front door stopped you.
“Keigo!” Enji’s deep voice shouted from the kitchen, “Get the door and take them to my office!”.You suppressed a laugh as Keigo came sliding down the banister of the stairs, slipping off the end and nearly falling into the floor before smoothing his hair back.
“You guys are late,” He said when he opened the door, a flash of lightning lighting up the entryway as he looked down at his watch.
“Yeah well that’s what happens when you run into a storm that sends traffic into a snail crawl ten minutes after you leave, we planned to be here on time” Izuku snapped, you could hear his umbrella shut.
“I said the weather would get bad, dumbass” Katsuki’s low voice said from behind him. They were at the bottom of the stairs when Izuku whirled around.
“I told you to shut it. And keep it shut, this deal has to go off without a hitch or Toshinori is going to have my throat” the green-haired Beta snapped, the blonde Alpha in front of him growling as he pointed a finger into his chest.
“Whatever you say Deku” Katsuki sneered with a roll of his eyes, fists clenching in an effort not to knock his hand away.
“Soon enough it’ll be Boss to you,” Izuku said, glancing to the side and noticing you watching them from the living room. He smiled, cheeks flushing in embarrassment. “My apologies-”. Enji’s reverberating snarl cut him off, the scent of heavy smoke sending your heart pounding.
“Do not talk to her” Enji snapped. Izuku put his hands up in surrender, emerald eyes going to the floor. The red-haired Alpha turned, eyes flashing over to Keigo who shrank under the pure anger. His massive hand clenched into the blonde Alpha’s shirt, a deep growl in his chest. “What happened to ‘Take them to my office immediately?” Enji said, voice gravely and cold as he yanked the smaller man forward, venom coating the words that were practically hissed in the blonde’s ears.
“S-Sorry Boss, we’re going now” Keigo stammered, legs shaking slightly as he bared his throat, golden eyes looking anywhere but at the bigger Alpha still growling at him. You got up from your spot on the couch, unable to tell when this aggressive show of dominance would turn into bloodshed and deciding it was better to get out ahead of it.
“Enji,” You said quietly, almost carefully as you placed a hand on his arm. Keigo’s shirt was immediately loose from his fist, the blonde scurrying back away as Enji turned to you, arms going around you with a growl and moving you back to the couch. You watch around your Alpha’s hulking shoulder as Keigo hurries the other two up the stairs, Katsuki catching your gaze once before Izuku shoved him to move up. You sighed with relief once they were out of sight upstairs, leaning up and wrapping your arms around Enji’s neck.
“They’re gone,” You said, feeling his muscles relax slightly even as his scent still raged like a forest fire.
“Good. Too many eyes on you” He growled, nudging your head to the side to bury his nose against your scent gland, right where his mark was.
“I’m sure no one missed this mark on my throat,” you said, cheeks heating as he swiped his tongue against the raw skin, a deep purr of approval rumbling from his chest.
“I want everyone to see it” He purred, pressing hot kisses against your jaw, “Need everyone to know you’re mine”.
“You’ve been so tense lately that I don’t think anyone is going to forget. Trust me” You said softly, placing your hands on his shoulders. He pulled back to look at you, turquoise eyes burning bright as he searched your face, looking down at the mark reddening your skin and bringing his hand up to graze a thumb against it.
“Tense doesn’t even describe it,” Enji said in a hushed tone, the expression on his face conveying that he wanted to say more, but resigned silence took its place. He traced his left hand lightly up your waist, keeping you close as he leaned down to press a kiss to your lips. A yearning growl escaped him as you sighed into his mouth, your hands tracing up to his chest and ghosting fingers teasing the top button of his shirt. He pulled away with a soft chuckle, pupils blown wide even as he tried to keep himself under control.
“The things I would do to you if I didn’t have them waiting upstairs,” Enji said, pressing a huffing kiss to your temple before going to the door, “Stay down here until they leave, I’ll come to get you for bed”. You nodded with a resigned sigh, going back to the couch and turning on a movie as your pulse raced and heat pooled in your gut.
《♡》
You didn’t remember falling asleep, only that you had put some movie on and had curled up on the couch to wait. But now it had to be at least nine-thirty, the windows having gone dark except for the flashes of distant lightning through the clouds. You wrapped your blanket around you and made for the kitchen, listening closely for any sound from upstairs. You couldn’t hear anything but that didn’t mean much in the way of being a good thing. Your stomach growled as you searched through the fridge, then pantry before deciding on some packaged cookies. You sat at one of the island bar stools and opened your snack, scrolling through your phone for a minute before you heard footsteps coming down the short hallway. You didn’t expect Katsuki to come through the door, and judging from his wide eyes he hadn’t expected you either.
“Hi,” You said quickly, not really sure what else to say as you sat rigid in your seat. His smokey, sweet scent inadvertently had alarms ringing in your head, natural instinct telling you this wasn’t safe, even if he hadn’t posed any threat. In fact, he was doing everything he could not to look at you, still refusing to cast his eyes to the floor for an omega but looking at anything else.
“Hi,” He said gruffly, locking his eyes on the fridge. “Just grabbing water”. Once he was digging through the fridge you relaxed a little. You don’t know what came over you but you asked out of curiosity.
“How is everything going up there?”. Katsuki paused, water bottle in hand. You guessed he hadn’t expected you to speak again.
“Fine. Better than expected” He said, shoulders tight with caution.
“That’s good, I get worried when things are too quiet,” You said, biting one of your cookies in half. The blonde Alpha snorted a laugh.
“Figured quiet would be a good thing”. ‘Not in this house’ You thought ruefully. You knew what quiet meant. Bloody laundry and body bags being dragged down your stairs when Enji didn’t think you could see. Tending to the bruises and lacerations on his knuckles from teeth, and sometimes exposed bone, cutting into the thickened flesh.
“I gotta get back upstairs but can I ask you something?” Katsuki asked, breaking you away from your thoughts.
“I guess,” You said with a shrug, slightly nervous now. Enji always said not to talk to anyone that doesn’t work for him about your situation.
“Did he… really buy you?” He asked. The silence was heavy, you not really knowing if it was okay to talk about and him probably knowing he crossed a line.
“I guess his son Touya did really but yeah,” You said quietly. You hadn’t really thought back to that night in a while. Or to any of the nights and days before that, when you were caged up just hoping not to die.
“Just curious. Wondering if the rumors were true” Katsuki shrugged, cracking open the lid of his water bottle.
“Rumors?” You asked, suddenly just as curious as he seemed to be a moment ago.
The blonde nodded, “Yagi was champing at the bit to meet the omega that caught Enji’s eye. Especially since his ex-old lady is in the looney bin”. You flinched a little, Enji hadn’t told you that. Only that they were divorced a few months before the auction night.
“He doesn’t tell you much does he?” Katuski asked, reading your silence like a book, crimson eyes searching your face. You shook your head. Enji had always told you the less you know, the better.
“Well the less you know, the better. Princess” He said, echoing your thought and leaving the kitchen without another word. You barely had time to gather your thoughts before the front stairs erupted in activity. The sound of multiple pairs of stumbling footsteps and Keigo and Izuku’s laughter, the jingling of car keys, and the front door opening. You abandoned your snack and went out to the hall, watching as Enji ushered a drunk Izuku out the door into the hands of Shoto’s assistant Inasa, Katsuki growling under his breath and attempting to snatch the car keys from his hands as the drunk Beta tried to drag him to the car.
“Take them to Yagi’s place, dump them on the driveway. I’ve already told him you’re coming” Enji said, rolling his eyes as Izuku fell into one of the plants on the porch.
“Yes sir,” Inasa said, hauling Izuku up with a sigh. Enji slammed the door and locked it, grumbling something about “idiots” under his breath.
“Keigo, you’re too buzzed to drive home,” the red-haired Alpha said, pointing towards the couch where you had previously been sleeping.
“Sure thing Boss,” Keigo said with a tired sigh, immediately crashing down into the cushions and pulling the other spare blanket over himself. Enji turned to you, realizing that Katsuki had come from the same direction, and froze.
“Did he bother you?” He growled, scent rising to threatening levels as you walked over and snuggled against him.
“No, he was just getting a bottle of water” You reassured, your Alpha instantly relaxing as you purred against his chest. “Ready for bed?”
“There are some things we need to discuss first,” Enji said, shoulders stiff and scent smokey with uneasiness, “Let's go upstairs”.
《♡》
“I wanted to let you know that Yagi and I are going to be going on this job with Keigo,” Enji said as you were fixing your pillows on the bed. You gave him a questioning look, he never gave you much of a warning before leaving for work.
“Oh. Okay?” You said, pulling your blanket down, “Can I ask why you’re going?”. An exasperated sigh escaped him. You knew he liked to keep you as far from anything having to do with business as possible, especially after what happened with Yagi last time.
“Apparently this CEO is someone Yagi and I know personally, used to work with my Father. That Beta boy, Midoriya, is wanting his mate to take over the company but the old geezer won’t sell” Enji said, fixing the case on his pillow.
“Who’s Midoriya’s mate? Another Boss?” You ask. Enji laughs, a loud barking laugh you didn’t hear often. Only when he found something really funny.
“No sweetness, Just some nothing Beta girl who wants what she’s owed,” the big Alpha said, “Yagi and I are going to have a meeting with him, see what’s holding him up from selling and if by the end he’s still being stubborn well…”. You didn’t need to wonder what that meant, or where Keigo came into this equation. You knew he would be stationed on a nearby rooftop waiting for the opportunity to blow a piece of lead through the man’s head the moment he stepped from cover. You suddenly felt sick, the thought of Enji leaving sending your stomach twisting in knots.
“Are you… sure you have to go?” You asked quietly, hand unconsciously going up to run a finger along the still red mark gracing your neck. A rumbling croon pulled itself deep from his chest at the sight of your distress.
“Unfortunately, I do. Only for a couple of days. But that kind of leads me to my next question” He said, pulling your arm lightly so you were sitting down next to him at the foot of the bed. The intensity in his teal eyes had you blushing before the question even left his mouth. “Do you remember when your last heat was?”. Fire bloomed in your cheeks, mouth going dry as you looked down away from his gaze. You couldn’t remember, piecing together any memories of the last couple of years that weren’t riddled with some drugged illusion was nearly impossible.
“I don’t know. At least a year” You said quietly, praying he didn’t get angry even though you didn’t know why he would.
“A year?” He asked,hand-holding yours tighter in shock.
“At least” You repeated. Your heart slammed in your chest. You had known this conversation was coming, since the moment you allowed him to put his mark on you.
“This is why I wanted to tell you that I was going to be gone, my love” Enji said, sensing your distress and pulling your wrists up to his throat, spreading his woodsy fiery scent across your skin. “An Alpha’s bite sends Omega’s into heat. Usually about a week after the first part of the bond is placed”.
“First part?” You asked a little lightheaded from his dominating scent clouding the air around you.
“You have to bite me too, Sweetness.” He said, a purring rumble escaping his chest as he pressed light kisses to the pads of your fingers, “But Omega’s only can when they’re in heat”. A responding purr bubbled up to your throat as he pressed closer against you until realization hit you like ice water.
“Wait, so you’ll be gone when I… you know?” You asked, not liking to say the word. Enji chuckled, a warm hand tracing up your ribs.
“I’ll be back before then.” He said reassuringly as his scent lost the alluring edge, morphing into something more serious so quick it nearly gave you whiplash.
“But if I’m not, you call me and I’ll be home in record time”.
“I’ve heard it's dangerous for Omega’s to go through heats alone.” You said quietly. His hand cupped your chin, forcing you to look at him.
“You won’t be alone,” Enji said, scent burning with urgency as he pulled you into his chest, heavy arms circling around you protectively, “I’ll be there for you.” You could hear his heart pounding, the muscle thrumming heavily against your ear as he held you, crushing you so close it felt as if he was trying to bury you in his chest next to it. You had never seen him act this way, the waves of anxiety rolling out in his scent were nearly suffocating.
“Can I ask you something?” You asked. His arms loosened, falling away as if he had just realized what he was doing. He nodded, turquoise eyes bright with apprehension.
“Is that… what happened to Rei?” You asked quietly. Enji flinched. You never asked about her. He never talked. She was like a ghost that no one mentioned in his presence, the fear of his rath ringing too deep with those that have seen what he could do.
“Among other things. yes,” He said, looking down at the floor between his feet. You waited for him to continue, Enji sighing when he realized that you weren’t going to drop it like you usually did any other time she was brought up.
“She had always had an idealistic home life. Her parents were well-off business people, had a happy marriage, and children. That’s exactly what she wanted. What she, unfortunately, didn’t realize until she was in the back of a van was that her father had borrowed and never returned money to my father. To pay off half of his debts, her father sold her to us. She never got over that” He explained, still looking at the floor as he continued, “The marriage arrangement was my father’s idea. He no longer wanted Rei in his house due to the upset she was causing my mother so he brought her to me. We were married two weeks later. She came into the marriage resenting me for being my father’s son, for being who I was. At that point in my life, I had never thought about getting married. Mating and bonding with anyone. I was focused on pleasing my father and making sure this family was passed to me”. The only time Enji had ever really opened up was that one drunken night two weeks after you had been brought to him. And he had never brought it, or the subject of Rei, up again since. With his mark in your flesh and the bond half forged you could feel his unease, the pain and shame practically leaking from the pores of his skin, it made your stomach churn.
“All she asked of me was to give her children,” Enji said, eyes trained on something distant that you knew you wouldn’t be able to see, the aqua blue always bright and glowing having gone dull with far off memories. “One child’s life is enough to risk in a life like this, but Shoto is our fourth. I put a stop to it, even if her hatred for me only increased. But the hate was not undeserved, I was unnecessarily cruel to her. She ended up lashing out at Shoto, nearly killing him. That’s why she’s now in a mental institution. I’m the reason she's there.” The room felt like it was charged with electricity, like the lightning from outside had made its way in here to make your ears ring.
“So that’s why Shoto has that scar?” You asked, Enji turning to you as if forgetting you were there.
“Yes.”
“You never let her mark you?”.
“No. I never wanted it and she never asked, even if she had ever wanted to. She never wanted me to mark her either.”. You were confused. Enji has made it clear of his commitment to you, wants you to mark his throat where pale untouched skin lay now. But Rei wasn’t allowed to mark him. His first mate. The mother of his children. Why you? Why now? So many unspoken questions and you knew they were written on your face from the snort of exasperation.
“I know it must be confusing. But it’s simple. We didn’t care for each other the way we were meant to. I didn’t love her the way she needed”. You looked down at your hands clasped together in your lap, contemplating all of the information he just shared with you. It wasn’t very often he was this open.
“Do not hide your thoughts from me” Enji said with a stern tone.
“I just… why me?” You asked in barely a whisper, still hesitant to look up. Enji’s eyes never failed to steal your breath away, especially when he was looking down at you with so much unbridled passion.
“There was just something about you. It set my soul alight. Like I had found something I had long been looking for” He said, leaning in and brushing his nose against your throat, “But it was those such intense feelings that made me leave. Had me running fast and far away before I ruined another innocent with my degradation. I am completely undeserving of you”. Tears were welling up in your eyes as he pulled you up into his lap, your body immediately relaxing into his warmth.
“I don’t want to be anywhere else” You hiccuped with a relieved sigh, “I couldn’t imagine not being with you”. Your tears spilled over onto his shirt, staining in wet dark blotches. Enji pulled you away to wipe your face, placing feather-like kisses against your cheeks and chin until you were purring lightly.
“Don’t cry sweet one. These sins are mine to atone for. I promise to never squander my second chance” He said, the deep rumbling of his purring making your blood feel hot and your bones turn to jelly. You curled yourself closer against him, tears drying against your cheeks as his warm, comforting scent began to lull you to sleep. You only stirred awake when Enji shifted on the bed, still holding you to his chest as he maneuvered the blanket up around you.
“I love you. With everything I have left” Enji whispered, oblivious to the fact that you could still hear him.
《♡》
“Now you’re sure you’ll be okay?” Enji demanded for the fourth time the next day as you were helping him pack his carry-on for his flight.
“Yes, I promise. Everything will be fine, you’ll only be gone for two days anyway” You said with a hidden roll of your eyes. He had been on edge all morning, from the moment he woke up at five a.m for a three-thirty flight, until now just twenty minutes from when their driver would be here to take them to the airport.
“A lot can happen in two days,” He said, “That’s why I’ve asked Fuyumi to come over tonight to check up on you”. You groaned in annoyance.
“Enji, She has her own life to deal with. Don’t make her waste her time, I’ll be fine”.
“This isn’t up for discussion,” Enji snapped with finality in his tone. He wasn’t budging on this. He was already upset enough having to leave you, his scent burning and heavy with distress, it was probably best not to push him.
“I’m going to miss you while you’re gone,” You said, sliding the book he was currently reading into the front pocket of his bag. A comforting rumble rose from his chest, pulling you into him when he could smell the hints of loneliness on your scent.
“I’ll miss you too,” Enji said, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“HEY, BOSS! CARS HERE!” Keigo’s voice called from downstairs.
“If you need me. Call me. I don’t care where I am or what time it is, I’ll be there” Enji said as you descended the stairs to see Keigo holding the door open for their driver to collect their suitcases.
“I’ll call you to come back as soon as your plane lands,” You said teasingly. He huffed a small smile and squeezed your hand.
“I can only hope you would.”
It hurt to see him climb into the passenger seat and drive away. Like your entire body was calling out to him not to leave. Not to leave you alone and afraid to be without him. You wouldn’t have told him that even if someone had paid you though,  knew that if you had let on how much it pained you to let him go that he would never have gone. You fought the tears welling up in your eyes, took a deep breath to calm your shaking hands. Everything would be fine, Enji would be back in two days.
《♡》
Why was it so hard to leave? His gut twisted as he watched the house fade behind him. His heart was thudding like he had run a mile as he settled back into his seat, taking a deep breath to try and calm himself. Enji couldn't explain the feeling of emptiness in his chest, why it was taking everything not to get the driver to turn around and take him home for one more embrace. One more opportunity to hold you close.
“Boss, she’ll be okay,” Keigo said as if hearing the thoughts running through his mind, “It’s the bond bringing up anxiety”. It wasn’t as comforting as the Blonde Alpha was hoping, doing almost the exact opposite as Enji’s hands clenched into fists. You were probably a wreck right now, all of your instincts begging for him to come back. He didn’t like that thought, nearly pulling his phone from his pocket and calling you right then. That is until he noticed through the rearview that a dark car was weaving in and out of traffic, coming to a slow behind them. At first, it seemed strange, but reckless drivers were common nothing too unusual. Until they started changing lanes along with their car. And any turn they made or adjustment they made was matched.
“Drive faster and take two right turns” Enji instructed the driver.
“Sir I’m in the far left lane, taking a right would put an extra ten minutes on our drive” The driver explained, obviously not noticing the car behind them.
“Just do what I tell you,” Enji snapped, “I think we’re being followed”.
“Followed? By who?” Keigo said turning in his seat to look at the vehicle behind them. Enji forcibly turned Keigo’s head to face forward.
“Don’t look, I don't want them catching on” Enji growled, watching carefully through the mirror. As their driver flipped the blinkers and began merging so was the car behind them. Keigo pulled out his phone, pressing the number three speed dial button, and held it to his ear.
“Touya are you in the car behind us?” The blonde Alpha asked, his confusion evident in his tone. Enji listened as his oldest son said No, that he wasn’t even close to the freeway right now. They took the first right turn as Keigo was asking Touya to get a hold of Natsuo, telling him to get someone on the road right now. But as the second right came up the car switched lanes and went ahead of them, speeding off before they could get a license plate.
“What the hell do you think that was?” Keigo asked, his gold eyes flitting back and forth between his window and the rearview nervously.
“I don’t know, but I don’t like it” Enji growled uneasily, “Let Natsuo know that I want someone on patrol around the block tonight”.
“Yes sir” Keigo agreed, sending the second eldest brother a quick message as they pulled into the roundabout for the airport. “Are you gonna call y/n? Let her know what’s going on?”.
“It's better not to. Her instincts are going to be going wild enough as it is, we don't need her paranoid on top of that. It might send her into an early heat,” Enji said, even as the uneasiness in his chest was growing every step he was taking into the airport, bags clenched tightly in his hands.
‘I’ll be home tomorrow night, she’ll be okay until then’
《♡》
“Fuyumi you really didn’t have to come over. I’m fine, everything’s been really quiet” You said when you opened the front door, Fuyumi in the doorway with a take-out bag in hand.
“And risk my father getting upset with me? No thanks,” She said, handing you the drink holder and passing you on her way to the kitchen. You both paused when you heard a car racing up the drive, spraying the small gravel stones as they passed the still open gate and came to a stop.
“Get in the house. Now” Natsuo barked, slamming the driver's side door and making his way to the door.
“What’s going on? What are you doing here?” You asked, you and Fuyumi sharing a look as he moved you back from the doorway to shut the door.
“Father called and said they had a weird encounter on the highway, told me I needed to stay here and watch the cameras,” He said, an almost desperate twinge to his voice even as his light scent revealed nothing.
“Why didn’t he call me?” You wondered out loud, thinking of grabbing your phone and calling him. ‘He’s probably still flying’
“Why would he? What are you gonna do?” Natsuo replied sharply, turning and heading for the stairs, “I’ll check the cameras, stay here”. Neither you nor Fuyumi could say another word before he was gone, leaving you both puzzled as you took the food to the kitchen to grab plates.
“I wonder what happened?” you asked, setting the drinks on the island before going over to grab plates from the dishwasher.
“Who knows. The job comes with risks,” Fuyumi trailed off, suddenly sensing your uneasiness and backtracking with a flush to her pale cheeks, “But don’t worry, I’m sure it’s nothing”.
You didn’t say anything, you and her fixing your food in silence before heading to the living room. Fuyumi was scrolling through channels trying to find something to watch as you picked at your food, stomach curling in knots as you thought about Enji and whatever had happened earlier today. You knew he wouldn’t call you to tell you anything was amiss, was adamant about keeping you as stress-free as possible. No matter how tense he had been before leaving, the apprehension practically poured off of him.
“We forgot the drinks in the kitchen,” Fuyumi said, setting the remote to the side after finding a show.
“I’ll get them for you,” Natsuo said from the doorway suddenly, passing by towards the kitchen. You hadn’t even heard him come down the stairs. You suddenly made to get up, setting your plate of food on the table.
“No, it's fine I’ll get them,” you insisted, a bad feeling consuming your body. Something was screaming to not let him out of your sight, pushing you to follow him as he waved you off with a dismissive growl.
“It’s fine, don’t let your food get cold,” Fuyumi said, a questioning look in her dark eyes when she detected the sourness of your scent as an adrenaline flash made sweat break against your temple. You nodded, not trusting your voice as you sat back down, body still tense as you listened to Natsuo’s footsteps coming back, both of the cups in hand. Fuyumi immediately took hers from her brother but you just stared apprehensively at the cup until he rolled his eyes and set it on the table. You heard him mutter something under his breath but you paid him no mind, everything in you focusing on your thrumming heart. Maybe you were just being paranoid. There was no reason to be feeling this way, what motivation would he have to do anything. You suddenly felt guilty for the anxious thoughts running through your mind, fire burning in your cheeks at your behavior before picking your cup up and taking a drink. Nothing tasted off, the consistency was fine, it was just tea. You felt foolish at that moment and refused to even look at the white-haired Alpha who had seated himself in a chair on the far side of the room. It was quiet for the next few minutes, the only sounds were take-out boxes shuffling and the show on the tv, one you hadn’t been paying attention to.
“Left my phone in my car, I’ll be back,” Natsuo said, only waiting for Fuyumi to acknowledge him before leaving. The sound of the front door shutting behind him seemed so loud. And so did the sound of Fuyumi hitting the coffee table. The sound nearly made you jump, would have if your mind wasn’t fuzzing over, vision blurring out as you turned to see her slumping to the floor.
“F-Fuyu-mi,” You mumbled, her name coming out as a garbled mess as you tried not to fall forward into the floor, instead dropping your plate and attempting to get to your feet. That was a mistake as the entire room spun, sending you to your knees only a few steps from the edge of the couch. You could feel drool spilling past your lips as you angled your face to the floor, squeezing your eyes shut and trying to gain some sense back. What the fuck is going on?
“You took enough tranquilizer for two people your size, that's what the fuck is going on,” Natsuo said as he leaned against the couch, finishing the thought you had spoken out loud. Again you hadn’t even noticed him coming back, his footsteps so quiet even in your drugged state.
“They must have had you drugged constantly to build this kind of tolerance,” He said, closer this time as he crouched down to grip your face in his hand, turning you to look at him. His stone gray eyes seemed even colder now, the satisfied look on his face sending a chill down your spine. Your head sagged in his hand, ears ringing as you fought not to blackout.
“Don’t die yet” Natsuo said with ice in his voice as his thick hand slapped your cheek, the stinging bringing back clarity for only a few moments. “Get her in the car, take her to the hideout”. You nearly vomited when you were lifted off the floor suddenly, stomach lurching as someone carried you out over their shoulder. You weakly grabbed onto the doorframe of the front door, groaning as you held on with all the strength you had left.
“Let go or I’ll break your fingers,” The unfamiliar voice of whoever was carrying you said, yanking on your arms until you finally couldn't hold anymore. Whoever it was was taking scent suppressors, keeping their natural scent muted so low you couldn’t even detect it this close up.
“Fuck you,” You said with as much clarity as you could muster, lifting your arm and elbowing the stranger in the back of the head as hard as you could. It must have stunned him because the next thing you knew you were in the gravel, a shooting pain erupting in your side from where you landed and all the remaining air in your lungs rushing out.
“Stupid little bitch,” He growled, kicking into your stomach and finally making you vomit onto the ground.
“Enough,” Natsuo’s voice snapped, “I’m going to have a hard enough time making my story fit with the damn mess she made, I thought I gave her enough to knock her out completely like my sister. Stubborn whore”.
“Aren’t you in medical school? Pretty sad you messed up measurements” the stranger asked, stooping down to pick you up as he opened the back door to a car you didn't know.
“I hired you to get rid of her, not talk. Get the fuck out of my sight. I’ll call you on your burner in twenty-four hours with the rest of your payment” Natsuo said with a deep growl in his voice. Like father, like son. You knew he would probably break your nose for saying that. Your limbs were weak as you tried to hold yourself up in the backseat of the car, leather cold against your face from where the strange Alpha had tossed you in and slammed the door behind you. The window closest to you rolled down, Natsuo leaning in against the frame of the window.
“Just remember, this really has nothing to do with you. I would have done this to anyone unfortunate enough to end up with my devil of a father. It’s what he deserves”. Tears welled up in your eyes as the glass rolled back up, a cold smirk on his face as the driver started the car and began to pull down the driveway. You shifted slightly and felt your heart leap, you still had your phone. You struggled to get your hand to cooperate as you tried to fish the device from your pocket, nearly sobbing when you were able to pull up your dial pad and hit the number 1, Enji’s speed dial. You couldn’t only hope he was able to pick up, that his phone wasn’t dead.

“Don’t be so antsy Todoroki. I know you’ve got that pretty little omega waiting for you at home but we’ve got a job to do,” Yagi said with a sharp tooth grin as they rode the elevator up.
“My Omega waiting at home is none of your concern,” Enji snapped, hands clenched into fists, “And I should be home taking care of her right now but I have to be here. With you. Because the Beta you decided was oh so qualified to handle your family, can’t even take charge and join us for this meeting with his fiance’s uncle.”
“Well we did say we would take care of this for him, it won’t be long,” Yagi said with a roll of his bright blue eyes, “I doubt this jerk is going to sell. Then we’ll have Keigo deal with him.” The blonde Alpha made a slicing motion across his throat. It was Enji’s turn to roll his eyes. He hated Yagi’s unprofessionalism. And he felt even more irritated knowing that others thought the same of him. Just because he’s beat a few people into submission doesn’t mean he’s unprofessional, just thorough. The small reception area of the sixth floor was brightly lit with large windows, the elevator dinging almost too cheerfully when the sliding doors opened. The secretary greeted them and sent a message through the phone of their presence.
“I expect you to take this meeting into your hands, Yagi. Izuku is your protege after all,” Enji said, checking the time on his phone. He had gotten in later the night before after Keigo had insisted he join him for drinks in the bar across the street, his phone dying at some point during the flight, and had immediately fallen asleep when he got back to his hotel. He had expected a good morning message from you but his phone had still been dead that morning, having forgotten to charge it the night before, when Keigo had knocked on his door to wake him up so he had taken advantage of the chargers in the taxi Yagi and him used, but no messages. Only a lone voicemail that had beeped in when he turned his phone on in the lobby. He told himself he would listen to it after the meeting, even if every nerve in his body itched to click it and hold it to his ear now.
“Toshinori! Enji! Long time no see!” The gruff voice of the older gentleman called from his tall office doors, ushering them inside.
"I'll be in soon," Enji said sternly when Yagi looked over expectantly, lifting his phone to his ear as the voice-mail started. The shutting of the office door behind him seemed so quiet compared to the hammering of his heart as a weak whimper broke through the speaker.
"Enji…" your voice was so quiet, sounded so tired, "h-help. Plea-" your plea was cut off with a startled shout, the sound of a car window rolling down and then crashing before it ended. His ears were ringing, mouth tasting as if there was blood on his tongue when there wasn't. He couldn't breathe, could barely even move other than the deep gasping breaths he was drawing in through his nose. Was he going to blackout? He couldn't decide as he listened to the voice-mail again. And again. And again. Didn't stop until the secretary asked him if everything was alright as he stood like a stone facing the windows. Enji bit the inside of his cheek hard enough to draw blood this time as he pulled out his wallet, pulling out a wad of cash and telling her to take herself to lunch, anything to get her out of this building before he lost it. There had to have been a look in his eyes as he handed her the money because she took it hesitantly before grabbing her purse and nearly running for the door. In reality, his scent had turned thick as smoke and hot as scorching flames, nearly unbearable to anyone but you. His omega that he had failed again. It felt like he was outside of his body looking in as he retrieved his gun from the holster, marching towards the closed office doors with a malicious purpose. Both of the men in the room startled when Enji kicked the door in, the frame splintering and the doorknob going through the plaster of the wall it banged into.
“What the hell is this?”. The CEO barely had the words out of his mouth before a bullet was taking their place, the back end of his skull busting like ripe fruit across the tall windows behind him.
“Jesus Todoroki, hell of an entrance,” Toshinori said with an impressed scoff.
“I was gone for one goddamn night,” Enji said quietly under his breath, mind reeling as he tucked his gun back to carry it out as he headed for the doors without even a glance back to the slumped body leaking and pouring off the desk.
“What are you talking about? Hold on!” Toshinori called after him, moving to catch up as he pulled Keigo’s number up on his phone.
“Someone took her,”
“Took who? Wait a minute! Easy!” Toshinori said, positioning himself between the red-haired Alpha and the elevator as Keigo finally answered. “Jesus, Keigo the plan went sideways, something’s wrong with-”. He was cut off mid-sentence as Enji snatched the phone from his hand.
“Get me a flight home Keigo. Now.”
“Boss, what the hell is going on? I saw you blow that guy’s brains out” The blonde Alpha said, his tone pitching higher in stress.
“Someone took her Keigo. They waited until I was gone and took her” Enji said in such a broken voice he didn’t realize it was him speaking for a moment.
“I’ll call Shoto, see if he knows what's going on,” Keigo said, sucking in deep breaths as he skips stairs down from the roof.
“No time. Book me a flight home as soon as possible”. Enji ended the call and slapped the phone back into Toshinori’s hand. “You can wait for the clean-up crew since you dragged me into this”.
“Now hold on a minute this isn’t exactly what we agreed to” Toshinori tried to protest, still blocking the way to the elevator.
“If you don’t move the fuck out of my way I’ll rip your chest open and feed you your own heart”. Yagi only wavered for a moment before stepping aside, blue eyes hard and cold as ice as anything he wanted to say died on his tongue, Enji’s scent burning so acrid and murderous that he had to fight his eyes from the spot at his feet. Enji’s phone was going off in his pocket as he slammed the button to call the elevator.
“I got a flight for us in an hour, it’s the soonest I could get,” Keigo said, the sound of a car door slamming shut in the background, “I’m in the rental on the way to get you, I’ll be around the corner in two”. Enji set out across the lobby as the elevator doors opened, noticing the small spattering of blood on the cuff of his white shirt in time to roll them up. The thought of you not being home to point it out and chide him about wearing white shirts nearly made his knees buckle, his chest aching like there was a gaping hole in his chest. He couldn’t break down yet, once you were safe and back in his arms he would give himself time. All the time in the world just to love you with everything he had and give you everything you’ve ever wanted. Keigo was already waiting out front, Taking off down the street the moment Enji had his door shut. His phone began ringing as he clipped his seatbelt, Keigo rounding a corner to the freeway and punching the gas.
“Shoto, what is it? Have you heard anything?”.
“Father, Fuyumi is in the hospital,” Shoto said, his voice sounding out of breath, “I just got back in from my conference and I’m on my way now, apparently her, y/n, and Natsuo were all drugged last night with take-out food”.
“What the hell was Natsuo doing at the house? I told him to be on patrol last night,” Enji growled, pinching the bridge of his nose to try and stave off the headache he could feel building behind his eyes, “Are they both okay?”.
“Yes, it was just an aggressive sedative. They were given fluids and are gonna be discharged in a bit” Shoto explained, apparently having finally found a cab as Enji could hear a low voice in the background as a door shut asking where he needed to go.
“Do they remember anything that happened? Did they see who took her?” Enji pressed, palms sweating as he gripped his phone, dread swirling deep in his gut.
“Not as far as I know, Fuyumi doesn’t remember even leaving the house. They say that she and Natsuo came in by ambulance, I’ll know more once I get there” Shoto said, his voice shaking.
“I’ll be home in four hours. Have Touya waiting at the airport for us,” Enji said, trying hard to keep the razor-sharp edge to his tone even as it felt like his whole chest was hanging open and bleeding into his lap. He ended the call and stuffed the phone in his pocket, hanging his head into his hands for a moment to just try and get his thoughts straight. He knew he was making Keigo nauseatingly uncomfortable with the destressed scent rolling off of him thick as smoke, engulfing the car like an open flame. The blonde Alpha said nothing though, sitting in pained silence as he drove as fast as legally possible, turning probably too sharply into the parking garage and cutting off three people for a spot. Enji couldn’t even remember if he had clicked his seatbelt as he climbed from the car, snatching his bag from the trunk as he went and making a beeline for the check-in counter, Keigo rushing to pull up their flight information and rental receipts on his phone as he practically had to sprint to keep up with the red-haired Alpha’s steps. At this point, anything that got in Enji’s way would perish. And possibly turn to ashes in his hands.

The plane ride was a blur, he didn’t think the adrenaline stopped flowing or his heart slowed at all from its hammering pace. But when the house came into view it all sunk in, the crushing feeling of knowing that you wouldn’t be there happily awaiting him to come home, a bright smile and your warm scent making everything in his being light up like a match. Enji couldn’t help, or even really detect, the sorrowful broken undertones in his scent as he climbed from his car, Keigo and Touya following right behind him.
“Have you heard anything from Natsuo?” He asked as he slowly grabbed his bag from the trunk, trying to take his time and avoid the inevitable pain that was coming inside that house.
“Nothing. Shoto should be here soon, Fuyumi said she was going to call you when she got back home,” Touya said, fumbling with the lighter in his hand. Enji couldn’t even be bothered to care about him smoking in the house anymore as pushed himself forward, even if his feet felt like thousand-pound weights. The house was dark, even with seemingly every light on it felt so hollow and dark, the shadows too tall and the silence too final. It didn’t feel like the home you had made over the past ten months. All the warmth was gone like it had been sucked out with a vacuum, making Enji’s stomach turn. Everything in him wanted to collapse, give up and dissolve into his mattress but he couldn’t rest, not until you were safe and home again. Enji’s eyes scanned the scene of the living room, blankets scattered across the couch and take-out cups and bags still on the table.
“Where are the containers and plates?” Enji asked, senses heightened with the stale scent of your distress permeating the air around him. Something wasn’t right.
“Maybe paramedics cleaned up?” Keigo said in an attempt to put the pieces together.
“Did a lousy fucking job, left the cups out and rice on the floor” Touya said, crouching to pick some of the food up between his fingers. Enji circled the couch, picking up one of the cups and popping the lid. It smelled stale and watery, as expected from over day-old tea, but something seemed different, the smell off just enough that it was noticeable. It had an almost powdery type of scent, like chalk dust but diluted with a fake sugar substance.
“It’s the drinks,” Enji stated, closing the lid on the first and picking up the other one, “They've been tampered with”.
“How can you tell?”
“Can smell it,” Enji growled, holding the cup out for Keigo to take from him. Keigo’s face wrinkled up at the scent, stirring the contents with the straw and watching as the tea grew cloudy with an almost blue-white powdery substance.
“That’s some sedative for sure,” He confirmed, handing the cup to Touya for him to check even as he rolled his eyes, “But the most common one that’s used is in liquid form with no smell”.
“This shit is loaded into plastic pill shells for dosing in the hospital and psych ward,” Touya said, dipping the tip of his finger into the liquid before it could settle and taped it against his tongue, a shiver running across his skin, “I was doped up on this 24/7 when I was an intake patient because I was too violent”. Enji remembers that, remembers Touya being only seventeen and drugged up like an animal, drooling and barely able to function. All because he ripped some guy’s eye out in jail.
“Then where’s Natsuo’s drink?” Keigo asked.
“He said he just ate some of the food. Passed out in the kitchen on the phone with the ambulance” Touya explained. Enji got up and made his way to the kitchen, determined to inspect the food boxes. It looked like nothing had been touched in here, take-out boxes still open with a fork dropped to the floor. But the plates were in the sink, food already cleared off. Enji’s picked up the box closets to the edge of the counter, showing the same contents of the food on the floor.
“I’ve done kidnapping for high profile people before and I’ve never seen it done this haphazardly,” Enji said as he barely had to move the noodles around to see the light dusting of powder inside.
“I might have a theory on what happened with Natsuo, Boss,” Keigo said, an uneasy look in his golden eyes, “you probably won’t like it”.
“Why don’t we keep our theories to ourselves until we have facts. Especially when it comes to my brother,” Touya growled, blue eyes bright as he postured himself threateningly.  Enji rolled his eyes as they growled at each other, jaws tight and fists clenched in aggression, he didn’t have time for their shit. His heart leaped into his throat as his phone began ringing.
“Fuyumi. Finally, what happened?” He demanded, beginning to pace around the kitchen.
“I’m so sorry Father, I don’t know what happened. Please don’t be mad-”
“It’s too late for that, but I’m not angry with you. I love you and I'm glad you’re safe ” Enji said cutting her off, and he realized this is the first time he’s said he loves her in a long time. Since she was an early teenager. That thought made him cringe and push it back, he’ll fix it but not now. “I need you to try and remember anything that happened”.
“Well, I… Father I don’t want to say anything accusatory but… there was a moment of clarity where I woke up maybe a minute after hitting the table that I noticed y/n had fallen to the floor,” She said, her voice shaking and he could tell that she was fighting off tears, “N-Natsuo was saying something to her, had her face in his hand. If he didn’t drug us then he definitely drugged his own food”. Enji’s ears were ringing again, that all too familiar of bubbling, burning rage filling his chest and his vision slowly turning red. Fuyumi must have taken her Father’s silence for disbelief because she continued to babble apologies, saying “Maybe it wasn’t, probably was someone else”. But it was the next thing she said that jarred him out of his stupor.
“What would he do this for?”. It brought back the memories of that dinner over a week ago, the absolute betrayal and hurt and fury that was written all over Natsuo’s face when he exploded.
“He would do it for your mother,” Enji said in a near mumble, everyone going silent at once. He said goodbye to Fuyumi, telling her to stay home and call Shoto if she needed anything, before turning to address Touya.
“Bring Shoto upstairs when he gets here,” Enji growled, trying to keep a grasp on the last of his calm, “We need to get a hold of Natsuo”.

“What the fuck is going on Shoto?! Why has no one been able to find him? It’s been two days,” Enji seethed, every bone in his body protesting as he paced his office, surprisingly having not made a permanent path in the carpet over the past couple of days.
“I don’t know. He’s got his trackers turned off and I went to his house with the spare key. He’s gone” Shoto insisted from across the desk, head in his hands as he listened to his father's heavy footfalls go back and forth behind his desk chair. Back and forth. Back and forth. The sound could be heard reverberating through the house. It was near constant at this point, along with an acrid smell of distress and anger permeating the walls, the only break was when Enji slept. And that was only three hours in the last couple of days. He knew he looked like a wreck, dark circles shadowing below his turquoise eyes, and felt like it too. He ached from head to toe, muscles tense like he was in permanent fight or flight, and he was so angry. Ready to rip someone’s throat out at a moment’s notice, snap their spine and pull it piece by piece out of their mouth. Enji hadn’t felt this sort of anger in a very long time but it came as a sort of comfort, it was the cushion keeping him from falling apart.
“Sir I see Natsuo’s car passing through the gate,” Inasa said from where he was watching the security camera’s from his laptop. Enji nearly tore his office door from its hinges as he stormed from the room, down the hall and stairs to the front door in record time, Shoto still scrambling down the stairs behind him. Natsuo had barely gotten the car in park and just removed his seatbelt when Enji threw his driver’s door open, fisting into his shirt and yanking him from the car.
“Where is she” Enji demanded, eyes burning like hellfire reflecting in his son’s dark granite gray.
“What the hell are you talking about? Let go of me” the younger Alpha snapped, trying to pull away from his father’s hand. Enji’s iron grip tightened, nearly shredding the front of the shirt.
“Where. Is. She” He said again, voice dropping deeper into a growl with every word.
“Probably gone. I don’t know. I don’t know what happened just like Fuyumi” Natsuo insisted, his face flushing in anger at his father’s tone.
“Keep your sister’s name out of your goddamn mouth, she’s one of the reasons I called you here,”. Enji watched the color drain from Natsuo’s face, a small flame of shame flickering in his gut at the thought of his own son doing this.
“Do we need to go upstairs or are you going to tell me what you did to her?” Enji growled, scanning his son’s face for any indication of anything. It felt like someone dumped ice water on him for a moment as he watched the panic fade into an almost bored expression on Natsuo’s face, the small glimmer of pride giving him away.
“I paid a guy to take her back and sell her. I have no clue where she is now” Natsuo said calmly, pulling away from his father’s frozen hand and unwrinkling his shirt. “This is what you deserve for what you did to mom. Broke her into barely a shell of a person. So bad that she permanently scarred her own child. You don’t deserve happiness. You don’t even deserve to breathe but that isn’t up to me”. They hadn’t even got into the house, all of this business aired out in the middle of their driveway and now he was going to walk away. Drop a bomb and leave. Enji didn’t understand the emotions he was feeling, so much anger and disappointment and shame all tied together and wrapping around his throat. He wanted to pummel him into the gravel, break his face until he looked like a slaughterhouse floor, but he knew he couldn't. In a sick way, this was justified and he was still his son. He always thought it would be Natsuo that got back at him, but he never imagined when and where. Natsuo waved to Shoto, a happy self-satisfied smile on his face as he turned and got back into his car. “Should have joined me Shoto, you and Touya really missed out, this feels better than anything in the world” the white-haired Alpha said with a sigh, turning the key in the ignition, “Hope you have a long sad life, Father”. Enji couldn’t breathe as the car pulled away, just watched the taillights fade until he made the turnout.
“Boss?” Enji heard Keigo say quietly, the blonde Alpha nervous with the murderous scent pouring off of him. The sound of gravel crunching under his feet reached his ears before he realized he had turned and was walking back to the house. He could hear Keigo trying to say something to him, heard him catch the door in his hands before it smacked his face as Enji slammed it open and bounced it off the wall. A deep, blood-curdling snarl rumbled from his chest when he felt Keigo getting too close for his liking, trying to talk to him and follow him into his bedroom. The space he shared privately with you, where your scents were still intermingled in the sheets. He'd never let anyone else set foot in this room again.
“Enough” Enji snapped roughly, cutting Keigo’s incessant talking and questions about what he was going to do. He didn’t know. Had no clue what to do at this point, but he wasn’t going to tell him that. Wasn’t going to show more weakness than he had already. “Leave me”. Enji waited until the front door shut downstairs, sinking the house into deathly silence before he allowed himself to breathe. To let the stressed tears pour down his face and his chest to feel heavy as stone. He wanted to scream, to shout, and howl out the pain that was constricting his lungs but he couldn't muster up the energy. It took everything in him to pull himself away from the door and make it to the bed, laying down carefully and nearly sobbing when your sweet scent wafted to his nose. There was nothing better than you. Your scent, your warmth, the love shining in your eyes when you looked up at him. Love that he and everyone else but you knew he didn’t deserve. He was selfish though, selfish enough to take your love and hold it close as the only line of life he had left. It truly felt like his world was ending and he was grasping at the pieces, said pieces being your pillow and your side of the sheets. He knew the scent would fade and be replaced by his if he continued to brokenly purr and rub his throat and face against the feathery softness but he couldn’t bring himself to stop, felt like he would end someone’s life if they tried to take this away from him.
Enji didn’t remember falling asleep, but he awoke in a panic, the room dark and the bed cold. He wondered for a brief second where you could be and then it hit again. You were gone. Probably terrified and needing him. With the bond half sealed his anxiety was high and he knew you were feeling the same. He hoped desperately that you couldn’t feel his anguished sadness, couldn’t feel the pain leaking through the tears in his eyes as he clutched your pillow tighter. He looked over at the alarm clock on his bedside table, twelve thirty-four a.m. Enji had been asleep since five and he knew there was no hope in going back to sleep. He got up from the bed, deciding going to his office to get a drink was better than just laying in bed staring at the ceiling with an aching heart.
The room flooded with a warm yellow light when he switched on one of the table lamps closest to the bar, popping the easy lock on the cabinet doors to get his good bourbon. But when he opened the doors he was met with the bottle as expected but with a bright pink sticky note stuck to it.
‘Not too much ♡ I love you’ in your handwriting was his undoing.
“Fuck!” He cried out, throwing the heavy bottle into the wall and shattering it, liquor running down and pooling in a dark stain on the rug. Bottle after bottle shattered against the wall, the pile of glass growing and scattering across the floor. Enji decided then and there, with a heaving chest and rage boiling in his gut, that he would go to the ends of the earth to find you.

Coldwater being splashed in your face shocked you awake with a gasp, your head aching terribly from the sedative and your stomach-turning. Your face was throbbing with your mouth tasting like iron and you couldn’t remember why.
“I don’t know anything about her paperwork, I just picked her up from the guy okay? I don’t know why,” a female voice said from somewhere nearby.
“We don’t have repeat Numbers Toga! That's my problem! All of the people that get sent through here have a number assigned. She can’t have a repeat unless she’s been discarded and returned” A raspy male voice responded, “And they should have told me she was damaged, she’s got a mark and that bruise, which shouldn’t be there.
“Wakey wakey sweetheart, it's not nice to stay sleeping during a meeting,” the Alpha with a water bottle in hand said. He had blonde hair and a scar running up his forehead, large hands that manhandled you into a sitting position as you groaned from your pounding head.
“Well whoever the fuck you hired had no paperwork and a popped-off license plate, so you tell me what happened Tomura,”. The smell of her syrupy sweet scent made your stomach turn harder, the scent of another Omega bringing back horrible memories and finally making you vomit on the floor.
“Looks like she’s awake,” The blonde omega girl said with a giggle at the irritated sound that Tomura made.
“Jin could you please get something to clean that up with? Christ” Tomura growled. You could barely see them, your vision blurring with the hammering behind your eyes. They seemed so far away even though it was only a short conference table.
“Omega, Do you remember anything that happened? Why you were brought back to us?” Tomura asked from the head of the table, his Alpha scent smelling like the sour of fresh wild berries. Vaguely familiar. You shook your head, groaning when it made your eyes throb.
“No I… have no clue,” You said quietly, trying to keep your voice from wavering and exposing just how much you were screaming on the inside. Everything was wrong, you were hurting and your Alpha wasn’t here to comfort you, You had no idea where you were or why this felt familiar in a way that made your entire body tense with uneasiness, stomach-turning from something other than nausea. You could feel his gaze on you, burning into you until you thought to check for holes in your skin. It was then you registered what he had asked you fully.
“Back to us?” You asked. The Alpha’s burning red gaze nearly had you scrambling from your seat, all the patchwork memories from the auction and before coming to the forefront of your mind. Spots began popping in your vision and knew you were going to blackout, gritting your teeth and digging your nails into your palm to stave off the unconsciousness.
“Damn it,” You heard Tomura growl as you rested your head against the table before you injured yourself further, “She’s been here nearly five days and no one thought to check her tattoo? Get the fucking blacklight”. You vaguely felt them lift your arm as you simmered in the dark haze, trying to listen for as long as you could before you were dragged back under, heard the soft hum of the blacklight. It was strange to you because you had never known you were tattooed, a number you didn’t know and had never seen forever labeling you in a life you never wanted to be a part of. You could feel hot tears rolling down your cheeks and pooling against the table beneath you but you didn’t care, and you knew they didn’t either.
“Just take her and lock her up for now, give her some water. Atsuhiro, check the order numbers from the past year and see who we took to auction,” Tomura said, snapping his fingers in irritation at anyone in the room. Your head was swimming again and you were sagging in Jin’s hands, barely conscious and only thinking of one thing. Enji. His name bubbled from your mouth on a soft cry, sobs catching in your chest till you could barely breathe. All you wanted was for him to take you home. The sickness you had felt for yourself as you fell in love with him, and you still didn’t understand why it happened so quickly, was nothing compared to the feeling now. Like your insides were being shredded out and all you could do was cry for the only person who could help you. Being here you knew he was only a few hours away, remembered bits and pieces of the car ride with Shoto and Touya eight months ago, and that only seemed to make things worse. Knowing he was so close but also so far away.
“What the hell is she blabbering about?” The red-eyed Alpha growled, his scent rising in distress as he grew increasingly uncomfortable with your crying.
“E-Enji,” You said brokenly one more time. You couldn’t see the look on Toga’s face when she froze helping Jin pull you from the chair you were in, now unconscious and dead weight in his arms, but it sent a chill through Tomura’s blood, her face having gone moonlit pale where she usually had a flush.
Her voice was barely contained from shaking, “We might have a problem”.

Enji had been working day in and day out to try and restore the corrupted security camera footage, but he knew with Natsuo’s skills it was gone. It was the only key to finding out who he paid to take you. His second-oldest son had gone completely no contact, and more than likely left the country, which with the anger he feels so deep in his chest it's like thorns are wrapped around his heart it was probably for the best. A deep sigh left Enji’s chest as his phone began ringing, he had gotten so tired of the small hope that flared every time he heard that sound and the inevitable defeat he felt afterward.
“Shoto, what is it?” He asked, attention still trained on his computer.
“I’ve got the guy,” Shoto said with a hopeful lilt to his voice. Enji’s office chair fell backward, bouncing off the floor and rolling to the side as he all but shoved his desk out of his way.
“Where” He demanded, heading straight for the stairs.
“He’s being held here at station two, you’d make it in ten minutes”.
“I’ll be there in five,” Enji said, shrugging on his jacket and slipping his pair of brace knuckles into his pocket, not like he really needed it but he wanted to give this asshole something to remember. Enji was glad we had sent everyone away, able to move more freely now without someone dragging along. Everything felt so overwhelming right now that he can’t even think about having someone in his space, his home. Except you. He had awoken so many times over the last few nights with an aching heart and his cock hard against his stomach leaking so profusely it ran down his sides and stained his sheets. But more than anything he just wanted to hold you again, wanted to pull you against his chest and spread his scent anywhere he could reach and tell just how much he loves you. His fingers were gripped white against the steering wheel as he drove, definitely over the speed limit and sure as fuck not caring. When he said he would make it in five, he meant it. Shoto was waiting out front to escort him in, foot-tapping as he waited until his father was within earshot.
“Two of my officers picked him up on an attempted kidnapping from one of the local karaoke bars last night, apparently he’s a part of one of the smaller human trafficking rings in our prefecture,” Shoto explained as he walked in ahead of his father, leading the way to the interrogation rooms.
“How do we know it’s him?” Enji asked as they paused outside of Room one.
“Bouncer said he overheard him bragging on the phone about how his most recent client was a Yakuza’s boss’ son
“Enji Todoroki, meet Kai Chisaki,” Shoto said with a venomous tone, scent souring as he glared at the brown-haired Alpha chained to the table, “This is the shithead that broke into your house”.
“To be fair, I never actually went into the house,” Kai said with a smirk, turning his attention to Enji, “your son Natsuo really knows how to write a check”. Enji didn’t hold back, having already slipped the knuckles on before he walked in the door, and smashed his massive fist against his nose. Blood sprayed across the table as the younger Alpha’s head flew back, tilting him in his chair until it clattered to the floor and the only thing holding him up was the handcuff around his wrist connected to the bolted-down table. Enji stepped around the table, the sputtering coughing sounds as Kai tried to scramble up fed into the bloodlust he was feeling.
“So. You’re the fucker that got paid by my son to take my Omega from me, huh?” Enji growled lowly, thick fingers winding into his hair and yanking him forward by the crown of his head, “And sold her”. Kai shook his head, blood dribbling down his chin.
“I don’t sell ‘em,” He said in a choked-off tone as he spit blood onto the floor, “I just get ‘em for the distributor”. Enji’s fist collided with his face again, relishing in the feeling of blood smearing his knuckles and lining the creases of his skin. It had been far too long since the last time.
“And who’s your distributor?” Shoto pushed, taking a seat on the opposite side of the table.
“I have many different clients,” Kai said as if it was some brag, “I don’t keep track of the bitches I take, just the money I make off of ‘em”. The next punch was to the gut, Enji feeling a rib crack beneath his hand when it connected.
“I suggest telling us what we want because I’m fully inclined to let my Father beat you to death right here,” Shoto said coldly, leveling him with a glare.
“Better yet, we can cut his limbs off and his tongue out then dump him in the middle of the forest” Enji snarled, fighting the urge to punch the Alpha in his grasp again when he spit blood onto his shirt.
“I-If I told you who I s-sold her to, they’ll kill me when I get out of here,” Kai said, the blood from his broken nose drying against his lips and chin.
“Do you know who you're talking to? I’m about to fucking kill you right here. I don’t give a fuck about what happens to you after this, I need to know what you know RIGHT NOW” Enji shouted at him, shaking him in his grip and smacking his head into the metal table.
“T-Tomura Shigaraki. First time I’ve worked for him,” Kai groaned, the pain from his nose and rib starting to set in, “I took Natsuo’s money as a side job, figured I could make more getting rid of his problem, and then bring her to my distributor for my finders fee”. Enji’s heart was hammering in his ears, mouth going dry. He dropped the black-haired Alpha to the floor, standing to his full height.
"Get this pathetic shit cleaned up pretty for his mugshot, is Touya back in town yet?" Enji asked, turning away from the man on the floor before he decided to kick him.
“Not for a couple more days,” Shoto said, opening the door for his Father before following him out. He directed a few of the officers standing around to clean Kai up and book him on kidnapping and attempted charges, Enji cleaning his hand off on a paper towel. All he could think about was getting ahold of Touya, telling him to call that fucker he does business with and going to get you. But the exchange he was a part of was important and Enji couldn’t jeopardize that. He was about to call Toshinori and curse him for getting him involved in any of this shit when his phone started ringing. It was a private number, obviously someone not in his contacts, and under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t have answered but none of this was normal.
“Who is this?” He asked sharply, snapping his fingers and signaling for Shoto to follow him outside.
“Someone who has something you probably desperately want back,” Tomura’s raspy voice said. Enji could tell he was smiling to himself.
“Where is she? Is she safe?” The red-haired Alpha demanded.
“Oh yeah, she’s safe, I’ve got her in one of our cells. Just like where she used to stay”. Enji’s chest was rumbling with a growl, gripping the phone was hard it risked snapping.
“Was this some sick plan or something? Natsuo pay you too?” He asked roughly, trying to keep his seething anger contained.
“Natsuo? Your son? No clue he was even a part of this” Tomura said, his tone showing genuine surprise, “No that asshole Kai brought her to me. We checked her blacklight number and it matched with you and Touya in our books”. So it really was a coincidence. Or fate or whatever you wanted to call it. Enji felt like all the air had been pushed from his lungs, a shiver running up his spine. Shoto was by his side with a questioning look, following closely as Enji made his way over to his car.
“Let me talk to her,” Enji said, his voice cracking in a nearly begging tone as he climbed into his driver’s seat. but he couldn’t be bothered to worry about weakness right now. He was the weakest man in the world without you.
“I expect compensation for keeping her safe for you,” Tomura said with an almost bored sigh, Enji could hear him entering a code on a locked door, “One million yen will do. Since Touya and I are acquaintances”.
“Fine. I’ll wire you half now and half when she’s safe with me” Enji confirmed, watching as Shoto set the transaction to be put through immediately.
“Enji?”. It felt like his heart stopped, a cold sweat breaking across his skin with an overwhelming relief he hadn’t ever felt before.
“y-y/n? Sweetheart? I’m here I’m coming to get you” He said almost breathlessly, tears pricking at his eyes when he heard you sobbing.
“I was so scared,” you sniffled a soft whine in your voice, “I want to go home”. It broke his heart, made his chest ache, and every instinct in him was flaring up and calling for you.
“I’m on my way right now, baby, right now I promise, give me two hours” Enji insisted, breaking out of his relieved stupor to jam the keys in and start the car.
“See you then,” Tomura said with the dry chuckle, the phone beeping and signaling the end of the call.
“Keigo is waiting for you at the house, said he’ll drive back,” Shoto said flashing Enji the text message.
“He better be ready and at the end of that driveway,” Enji snapped, “I’ll be putting a bonus into your account later, for your help”. ‘And for not siding with your brother’ that part wasn’t said out loud but the look shared between them was enough. Two more hours and he would have you back. Two more of the longest hours of his life.

You rubbed your wrist where the shackle had kept you to the bed and were unable to pace yourself into exhaustion again. They had to practically force water and food down your throat over the last few days, but now you knew Enji was on his way. That he was coming for you and wasn't going to leave you here, tainted in the eyes of every other Alpha with the mark on your throat. Your eyes were so sore from crying and you could feel your body begin to ache, which wasn't a good sign. Enji warned of this happening, your heat starting because of the bonding mark and you had made it longer than you two had thought, probably because of the stress. Stress brought on by this situation you found yourself in. It didn't take someone telling you for you to know this was about Rei. You couldn't blame Natsuo for being angry for the way his mother was treated, it wasn't right the things Enji said and did. But the only thing you could see when you looked at him was the Alpha you fell in love with, as unexpected and quick as it was, and there wasn't anything you or anyone else could do about that. You just wanted to get back to normal, or whatever normal had become for you anyway. Your stomach flipped when you heard the keypad beeping, immediately standing from the small bed in the corner. Tomura did nothing but motion through the doorway to follow him.
“Is he here?” You asked hopefully
"No, but having you ready will cause a lot less hassle," Tomura said with a roll of his eyes as he led you down a hall and into the meeting room you could remember pieces of through headache memories. “You’re lucky though, He's paying a pretty penny to get you back. Most wouldn’t”.
“I know,” you said softly, “I’m the lucky one but He always says how much he doesn’t deserve me”.
“Well from what I’ve heard of that shit show family from Touya, he’s right,” The crimson-eyed Alpha said with a dry barking laugh.
“You don’t know him as I do,” You said defensively as He motioned for you to take a seat, “He’s not all that bad”.
“Gross, Thank god I don’t know him personally. Alpha’s that show their spines even if it is for their Omega don’t have any place running a Yakuza family”
“So Someone like you deserves it more?” You demanded quickly, heart pounding in your ears, “It might be hard to understand for you but he loves me, more than even I know”.
“Please spare me the syrupy sweet, You’re lucky he’s coming for you because I’d have you bleeding out on the floor for your smart ass mouth” Tomura snapped, slamming his hands down on the top, scent turning to a cloying sweetness in his agitation. It might have made you uneasy, frightened even if you didn’t physically sense Enji entering the building before you even smell his scent. But it was murderous, angry in the strongest degree and even Tomura had an apprehensive look on his face.  You nearly jumped out of your skin at the sound of someone shouting something and then them crashing into the door. An involuntary gasp escaped your lips when Enji threw the door open, a burning fiery look in his turquoise eyes. There was blood smeared against his cheek, and a closer look showed it on his hands as well.
“What the fuck is this?!” Tomura shouted angrily, standing from his seat so quickly it tipped backward and fell to the floor.
“Need to remember and pass messages to your guards,” Enji said with a ragged breath, “Train them to keep their weapons holstered”. His bright gaze immediately locked onto you. It was like the first time all over again, the air leaving the room except for his scent wrapping warmly around you, the only thing you could focus on was each other as everything else blacked out. You felt the whine breaking from your throat as you got up from your chair. Enji was immediately moving, giving you no time to walk over to him and engulfing you in his arms. Tears were leaking down your cheeks before you could even say anything, soaking into his shirt as he held you close, a soft croon meant only for you making you melt into his chest. His heart was thumping like a drum against your ear, breathing ragged as drank in your scent, his strong body shaking lightly under your grip as if all of his strength was going into standing at this point.
“Are you alright?” He asked, his voice deep and rumbling down to your bones. You nodded against him, drawing in a shallow breath.
“Yeah… Now,” you said, a fresh wave of tears spilling as the overwhelming relief made you dizzy.
“I’m so sorry my love,” He said, his tone soft and pleading as he moved his hands up to cradle your face, “I’ve missed you so much”. You didn’t reply as you moved closer, pressing your lips to his as a way of showing just how much you had missed him too. A soft growl rumbled against your lips as you pressed closer, your hands going up to fist in his shirt as your tongue swept across his lower lip. It wasn’t a moment after the scent of his arousal hit your nose that a familiar and not at all welcome cramping began in your abdomen, drawing a sharp breath from you as you nearly doubled over. Enji knew immediately what it was, scooping you up to cradle you against his chest.
“Get first aid to the one left alive at the gate, Shoto will be sending the rest of your money over when I get to my car,” He said, kissing the top of your head softly.
“Great. Wonderful. Doesn’t really solve my problems,” Tomura muttered, a hand down his face in exhaustion.
“Would you rather me keep my money and kill you too? Whats one more to the three outside?” Enji snarled, arms tight around you. The blood on his hands needed no more explanation.
“Fuck!” Tomura shouted, “Just get the fuck out of here! Cause way more trouble than you’re worth”. Enji didn’t need further dismissal, turning to the door and leaving without another word.
“Just keep looking at me, don’t look down. Please” He said as you got closer to the front door of the compound. You didn’t say anything, knowing he was trying to spare you from seeing the bloody mess, but you could smell it. The thick smell of iron permeated the air around you but you didn’t take your gaze off of him, smudging the dry blood on his cheek way with your thumb.
“I missed you,” you said quietly when you could finally catch your breath in the fresh air outside.
“I missed you too,” Enji said in a soft rumble, holding you close and breathing in your scent, arms shaking as he fought relieved tears from his eyes.
“We ready to go?” Keigo asked from the rolled down driver’s window, dark shades perched on his head now that the sun had set low enough.
“More than ready,” you said from Enji’s arms, tapping him to let you down so you could get in the car.
“Glad you’re back,” Keigo said quickly as Enji rounded the car, “Glad you’re safe”.
“Did you really miss me Keigo?” You said teasingly, feeling light and almost giddy now that the relief was setting in and you knew you were going home.
“Maybe a little,” He said with a smile, “Boss has been a wreck, barely sleeping”.
“I got two hours last night, screw off,” Enji grumbled as he slid into the back seat with you, “How is the drive looking?”
“Probably about an hour twenty-five minutes, evening traffic is pretty light tonight,” Keigo said from the front seat, the music on the radio turned down low. Another cramp surged through you, making you gasp and curl in a little on yourself. Your cheeks flamed as you felt slick gush into your underwear, your legs twitching at the uncomfortable feeling of the material sticking to you. Any hope of keeping your pre-heat under control had been out the window the moment Enji had barged into that room, the connection of his scent to your deprived brain had flipped a switch you couldn’t turn back. The red-haired Alpha’s hand gripped against your upper arm, pulling you tighter against him.
“Just a bit longer love, we’ll be home before you know it and then I’m all yours,” He said in a rumbling tone, the bass of his voice going straight down to your dripping pussy.
“C-Can’t. Want you Enji. Now” you whined, your voice breathier than you had ever heard it and you could feel your body temperature steadily rising.
“Shit. Keigo, drive faster” Enji snapped, rubbing soothing circles against your arm, trying to keep you calm and subdued for a while longer. The more you squirmed against his side and let soft whines fall your lips, the harder his breathing got until he was practically panting, his own cheeks growing red in his combined arousal.
“You gotta stay calm, omega, we’ll be home soon I promise,” Enji said through gritted teeth, the growing erection in his pants showing the effect you were truly having on him.
“Hurts Enji,” you said, sore eyes on the verge of tears again, “Please”. That last plea broke him, a hungry growl making your blood sing.
“Put your headphones in and keep your eyes on the road” Enji snapped at Keigo, the blonde following orders immediately and slipping in his Bluetooth earbuds. Enji undid the tie to your sweatpants, pulling your soaked panties down along with them.
“You’ll make do with my fingers for now, I’m not going to knot you until you’re safe and comfortable in your nest,” He said, freehand holding your face for a moment to make sure you were listening, “understand?”.
“Yes, Alpha, please just make it not hurt anymore” you nearly cried, back arching as he slid two of his thick fingers down to collect your wetness before pushing in. With your heat setting in, quicker than you had anticipated, your insides were soft and pliable, not even needing to be stretched as you began shifting your hips roughly against his fingers, soft panting whines rolling off your tongue unrestrained as pleasure clouded your brain.
“Smell so good,” Enji said almost breathlessly as he pressed kisses against your throat and the mating mark that wasn’t so raw anymore, “addictive. Your heat scent is different, like honeyed bourbon”. It was embarrassing how quickly you were reaching your end, spot popping behind clenched tight eyes as it felt like your body was burning in soft velvet, every nerve ending alive and sparking as he curled his fingers and massaged the soft spot that had you leaking onto his seats. You came around his fingers with a broken cry, clenching around his fingers so hard you nearly forced them out. Your legs were twitching as he kept moving his fingers, only stopping when you gripped his arm, the burning fire from your heat simmering down for now with the orgasm still buzzing in your bloodstream.
“Better?” Enji asked, concern in his bright eyes as he scanned your flushed face. You nodded, still trying to get your breathing under control, body sagging back against him. “Just try to get some rest now, you’ll need all of your strength to get through this heat my love”. You laid your head against him with a sigh, a contented purr vibrating from your chest as his fingers threaded through your hair, attempting to put you to sleep. It didn’t take long with the exhaustion of barely sleeping for the last week dragging at your heels, closing your eyes and laying your head against Enji’s chest, the thrum of his heart lulling you to sleep.
《♡》
“Sweetheart, we’re home,” Enji’s voice said gently, warm hand running up and down your arm. You cracked your eyes open as Keigo opened the back door, the lights of the walkway and porch greeting you. It was a strange feeling, knowing that eight months ago you were terrified as you had pulled into the driveway, the house seeming like a daunting prison. But now all you could see was home, the place where you could be safe and loved.
“As of now, I’m unavailable for the next week. Don’t call me, don’t text me, don’t email me. My phone will be off and put away along with my office locked up,” Enji said sternly to Keigo as he climbed out behind you, “If it’s important enough to interrupt me, send someone with a death wish, especially if its Yagi”.
“Yes sir,” Keigo said, fighting a smile from his face, “Can I ask you something though? What are we going to do about Natsuo?”. Enji paused for a moment, taking a deep breath.
“I don’t know. But he’s gone. Cleared out his bank accounts and left. So it’s best just to leave him alone” He said with a resigned sigh. Keigo nodded in understanding, turning to leave.
“Thanks for the bonus by the way!” He called over his shoulder. Enji huffed and waved him off, following you to the house.
It was obvious Fuyumi had been here, the scent of cleaning supplies lingering in the air and a couple of windows open in the living room allowing a breeze to refresh the house.
“I’ll have to thank her,” You said, already thinking of something you could get for her or bake her as a show of gratitude. You knew things had been hard for Enji with you gone and you know the overwhelming scent of his depression would have made you more than upset.
“Don’t worry, I’ve already sent her enough money to go on vacation out of the country for a break” Enji reassured you. With the house smell so fresh you were acutely aware that you hadn’t bathed since this whole fiasco began.
“I need a shower” You stated, taking his hand as he offered it and headed upstairs. It felt like a weight had been lifted from your shoulders when you opened the door to your room, the soft scent of you and Enji mingling together and making your heart warm, but you had to fight every instinct telling you to climb into your bed. Not until you were clean and smelling like yourself again.  Enji didn’t hesitate to help you undress, pulling your shirt off and throwing it like it offended him, a soft growl rising in this throat at the smell of other Alpha’s on you. Especially with your heat simmering just below the surface. You were thankful for a bit of reprieve, the comfort of finally being home with your Alpha making every instinct calm and easy to keep at bay, for now. Enji started the hot water for you, urging you to get in as he undressed. You had never been so grateful for a shower, the water feeling like hot fingers digging into your shoulders and massaging away the tension as a soft moan escaped. You went to grab your bottle of shampoo as Enji stepped into the shower behind you but he swatted your hand away, the large Alpha squirting the soap into his hand and beginning to lather your hair.
“You know I can wash myself,” You said in an attempt to be teasing, even as you melted against his chest.
“Just let me,” He said gruffly, “it… calms him down”. You hummed in acknowledgment, knowing he was talking about the baser instinct Alpha inside who was tearing at the surface to be let free and comfort his omega. You were surprised his rut hadn’t been triggered with the distress, showing another testament of the control Enji had over himself. It was quiet as he rinsed your hair and repeated with your conditioner, stealing the loofa from your fingers to soap your body too. He was touching you as if you were glass, like you would shatter at just the wrong movement.
“I thought I’d never get to see you again, never get to hold you again,” He said quietly, the sadness and pure upset thick in his tone as he pressed a kiss to your shoulder, “I’m so grateful to have you back”.
“I was afraid too,” You admitted, body shaking lightly at the thoughts of how badly this whole thing could have ended, “Can’t imagine living without you”.
“I did for a week and it was the worst experience of my life. I’ve been tortured and I would pick that in a heartbeat over losing you again,” Enji said, rinsing your loofa and going to reach for his own shampoo. He gave you a shocked look when you swatted his hand away in the same fashion, taking the bottle from his hand.
“This isn’t a one-way street, Enji,” You said with a smile, squirting the soap into your hand, “I missed you too”. Just because he had to stoop slightly so you could wash his hair for him didn’t matter, the rumbling purring filling the bathroom made that clear enough as you ran your nails across his scalp, thoroughly washing through his crimson hair and loving every moment of being able to pamper him and watching the tension release from his shoulders with just your touch. You always loved the shivers than ran across his skin when you touched the tattooed skin of his back, the red dragon curling up his spine and ending at his shoulder blades still mesmerizing as you ran your fingers along it as you took his loofa and soaped his back.
“You’re so beautiful Alpha,” you said, watching goosebumps race across his skin at the name, a suppressed groan in his chest.
“Nothing compares to you, my love,” He said, turning back to you and lifting your face to look him in the eyes, “Not the sun, the moon, or any of the stars”. The kiss he pressed against your lips had your knees shaking, so much love poured out in a simple action that it made tears spring to your eyes. You were suddenly hit with another wave of cramps, the emotional reaction to the sweet moment had dragged your heat back from the brink with a vengeance. Enji turned the shower off as you stumbled out to wrap in a towel, drying the water still clinging to your skin quickly and not even bothering with the clothes on the counter Enji had gotten for you just in case. You sighed with relief when you were finally able to sink into your bed, the sheets freshly cleaned but your pillows and blanket still the same and smelling of your Alpha, even if it was slightly soured with his previous upset. The heat was stifling all thoughts past getting your bed straight, moving the blankets around until you were satisfied, you knew you were going to need more materials later but it barely being the first day of your heat the things you had would be just fine. Everything felt just slightly off with not having been prepared but at least your instincts were quiet, Omega satisfied that at least you were home.
“First days always the worst,” Enji said from the bathroom doorway as he watched you move things around and spread your scent anywhere you could that didn’t feel saturated enough, “Are you feeling alright?”.
“Hot,” you said, pushing the blankets away from you. Enji flipped on the ceiling fan and a moan tumbled from your lips at the feeling of the cooling air against your skin.
“Better?” He asked, pulling a water bottle from the mini-fridge situated next to the dresser on the far wall. He stood next to his side of the bed, cracking the seal on the bottle and motioning you over.
“Don’t want water,” You said with a pout, reluctantly crawling over to him across the bed.
“Don’t care, not going to have you passing out from dehydration” He said in a firm tone tilting the bottle towards you, “Drink”. You did as you were told, taking a few gulps from the bottle before he put it to the side with a satisfied hum. Enji had slipped on a pair of underwear in the bathroom and you had just noticed, your heat-addled brain zeroing in on the black briefs hugging his thighs.
“Off,” you said, a soft growl bubbling from your throat. He didn’t move fast enough, your hand gripping against the waistband and tearing the material down the side.
“Impatient are we?” He asked, a deep groan of approval gracing your ears as you wrapped your hand around his half-hard length. You didn’t say anything, not trusting your voice to not be broken and whiny. Your eyes rolled back as you took his cock between your lips, tongue dipping into the slit and tasting his pre-cum as his smokey scent filled your nose. It took everything in him not to thrust against your mouth, letting you savor the moment and tease him with your tongue at your own pace. This was about you not him, even if his breath was growing ragged and thighs shaking anytime you sucked against him. His cock was in the back of your throat before he knew, nearly going cross-eyed as you push your face against his pelvis and took him in so deep he could barely feel your breathing. You could feel yourself beginning to leak against the bed, thighs rubbing together as your heat began ravaging your body, sweat slickening your skin as hot flashes surged. Thankfully the cramping was easier to ignore as if your body knew it would get exactly what it needed.
“Come on now, gonna make me cum” Enji said with a groan as he pulled you off, surprise lighting his gaze when a keening almost hurt whine broke from your lips. Your breath was coming out in harsh pants and you could feel the heat on your skin and knew you were flushed, probably looked a sweaty mess but you couldn’t find it in you to care. Not when your Alpha was looking down at you with such love and devotion it made butterflies swarm your stomach.
“Let me take care of you baby,” Enji murmured, nudging his nose against your cheek, “make the pain go away”. His right hand smoothed up your side to your shoulder, pushing you back against the bed. You turned under his touch, facing your back to him as you presented yourself on your knees. The arch of your back pulled a ragged moan from him, your pretty cunt on display just for him and leaking so desperately you had already soaked through the sheets.
“Just like that baby? Like the very first time?” He said with a rumbling croon, pressing hot kisses along your spine. The thought of the first time he ever knotted you had you sinking further into the mattress, a desperate sound leaving you as you looked back at him with lust-blown eyes. Enji had to grip your hip to keep you from pushing yourself back on his cock, wanting to ease you back so as not to hurt you.
“Easy love,” he purred, one of his large hands pressing against your shoulder blades soothingly, “I’m not going anywhere. Ever again”.
“Promise?” You asked, your voice breaking as you pleaded. With a shift of his hips, he was sliding into your soaking entrance, a guttural moan being forced from your lungs at the stretch.
“Promise,” He said, barely shifting back before thrusting in. You could feel the slick running down your thighs and splashing up on his abs every time he fucked into you, huffing groans of restraint raining down against your hot skin as you slick heat sucked him in anytime he tried to pull away. Your first orgasm took you by surprise, no building up just a pleasurable burn settling in your abdomen as the head of his cock nudged just past the soft spot inside of you.
“Gotta ease up, gonna cum too quick” Enji growled, the almost begging undertones to his voice not escaping your ears as he began thrusting just that much harder, pulling obscene sounds from you as he bent over your body to gather you against his chest.
“Please Alpha, want your knot,” You said with a breathy whine. All the breath left you when he gripped your hips and spun you around to lay you on your back.
“I’ll give it to you love, just want your mark on my throat first,” Enji said, his strong hands wiping the sweat from your forehead and pushing your hair away from your face. His hips hadn’t stopped moving and you were so close again, the squelching sucking noises of his cock pummeling in and out of your tight entrance had your eyes rolling and your back arching.
“Feels good doesn’t it?” he asked as he brushed his nose along your throat, his tongue running against the sweaty skin of your mating mark. The light dig of his teeth into the skin had your legs locking around his waist pulling him as close as you could get him. The slick velvet of your walls clamped down around him as your orgasm burst through your stomach, a pleasured scream tightening your chest as your head spun. The only thing keeping you grounded was the insistent hand pressing against the back of your head urging you to the bare skin of his throat as his thrust grew sloppy.
“Please Omega, put your sweet bite on my skin, can't take it anymore, want to be yours, all yours” Enji panted, the begging rumbling whine sending a shiver down your spine. You had never heard him make that sound before. An animalistic snarl dragging from his chest as you sink your teeth in, the hot flow of his blood running against your teeth and tongue as has he finally pushed his knot in with a pleasured moan, almost howling at the feeling of rightness as he filled you with thick spurts of cum and felt the bond settling over his body. Your hearts thrummed in tandem, bodies buzzing like your veins were filled with golden sunlight,
“I love you” you panted against his lips as he kissed you, a satisfied purring radiating through both of your chests.
“I love you too, more than anything in the entire world,” He said, carefully holding you and rolling onto his back so he didn't jar you or pull at the knot. Your body felt like liquid as you lay against his muscular chest and stomach, kissing softly against the still bleeding bonding mark and relishing the feeling of his warmth against your lips, the absolute purity of his scent sending your head reeling and slick leaking out around his knot. You shifted your hips, testing to see if you could ease him out yet but he was still locked against you, cock still lightly throbbing and leaking lazily inside of you.
“Try and relax, it might be a while,” Enji said with a groan as you tugged slightly.
“Need you again,” You moaned against the flesh of his throat, sucking up a bruise as he growled, “Want you to fill me up again, please”.
“Just relax and you can have me, knot won’t go down if you’re squirming like that” He panted, hands going to down to still your hips. Enji kissed along your cheeks and the bridge of your nose as you steady your breathing, feeling the knot slowly begin to release. As soon as you could move you were sitting up, hands on his chest as you lift your hips off of him, both of you moaning as your combined fluids rushed out and soaked his pelvis and the bed beneath him. The hormones from your heat were racing through your brain immediately, the pheromones of his scent and his cum on your skin causing your brain to fog. You could feel him hard against you again, the arousing scent of your heat affecting him down to the deepest parts of his instincts. His hand moved down to grasp the base of his cock, lining the tip up with your sensitive, swollen entrance as you sank down, causing a high-pitched squeal to fall from your lips. The stretch at this angle had you drooling, your hips immediately beginning to bounce against him and chasing the high that was so close you could feel it at the tips of your fingers.
“You’re so beautiful, God just look at you,” Enji groaned, eyes so lust blown the turquoise was a thin ring, “My beautiful Omega. Mine, Mine.” The last word was said in a deep possessive growl, his sharp canines shining in the low light of your bedroom.
“Bite me Enji, mark me again” you begged, the plead barely leaving your mouth before he was sinking his teeth in just as you had done. You were both so sensitive that when you orgasmed around him his knot swelled again, a rough thrust popping it through your entrance and filling you fully. The pleasure was blinding, the feeling of his teeth in your flesh and his hot cum filling sending your vision to black for a moment he pulled you down to lay against him again, rough groans vibrating your ears as his cock throbbed. Enji traced light kisses against your throat, cheeks, and lips, smearing your blood around like a trail of his love on your flesh.
“Rest now sweet one, you need it,” He said with an exhausted sigh, “so do I”.
《♡》
It was early morning when you cracked your eyes open, dawn having just passed and the early birds beginning to chirp outside. Enji’s snores drowned them out though, his heavy chest rising and falling like he hadn’t slept in years. Which is exactly what it felt like, a deep tiredness still dragging at your bones.
“Need me?” Enji asked, his morning voice so deep it seemed to rattle you as he laid a hand against your back to hold you close. You shook your head, heat not taking priority right now even though you didn’t know how long it would last. The warmth surrounding you sent a purr vibrating through your chest, so content being home and in the arms of your Alpha you nearly cried. As unconventional as all of this was, and dangerous at times, you couldn’t think of any place you’d rather be. Anyone else you’d rather be with. You could feel Enji’s ownn content happiness through the bond you shared now and that only comforted you more, snuggling up against his chest.
“Someone’s lovey this morning,” Enji said with an amused lilt to his voice, his scent smokey sweet with affection.
“Can’t help it,” You said burying your face in the crook of his arm. His warm hand dragged you up to face him, pulling you close to press a kiss to your lips.
“I’m so in love with you” He said, resting his forehead against yours, “Will you marry me? Be my wife and let me love you properly for the rest of eternity”. Tears swam in your eyes as you smiled, barely able to squeak out a “Yes” before he was kissing you again, hearts beating as one. Maybe everyone got it wrong retelling the legends, because you knew now for a fact that Oni’s do have hearts.

Mating Season
Characters: Natsu x Transmale reader
Word: 736
Warnings: A/B/O, smut
A/N: I wrote this for @insomniacfics just for fun. But I also know things have been rough lately and wanted to surprise you with a little Alpha Natsu! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Worry filled Y/N’s head as he walked down the path to Natsu’s home. No one had seen a trace of him for the past few days- he wasn’t even at Lucy’s.
So Y/N took it upon himself to go out to his alpha’s house. He needed to know he wasn’t missing, or even worse, dead. But once he reached Natsu’s door he knew.
The scent was far stronger than his usual ruts, this was something the omega has not smelled before.
The need and desire was already filling his entire body and his slick was pooling between his legs. Without hesitation he yanked the door open, the scent washing over and hitting even harder. His stomach turned, soon enough this smell would be pulling him into his heat.
Natsu’s nostrils flared, his bedroom door quickly swinging open as he filled the doorway.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?”
“I came to check on you,” the omega said simply, trying to remain composed.
Natsu snarled and clutched tightly into the wood, “You need to go….”
“But alpha…”
Natsu wanted to hold himself back, but the smell of his omega was filling his senses. He could smell the slick between his legs. Before he could warn him, his instincts took over and he closed the distance and kissed the omega roughly.
Y/N melted into the kiss and cupped Natsu’s face, the heat radiating off his body and warming Y/N’s body.
Natsu effortlessly lifted the omega into his arms and carried him into his room. He dropped him onto his bed, silencing Y/N’s gasp as he kissed him roughly.
Y/N’s hands snaked into his pink locks, deepening the kiss.
Natsu groaned into the kiss, ripping the omega’s shirt down the middle to expose his chest.
Y/N gasped, feeling the cool air tickle at his now exposed chest. “Natsu!”
Natsu’s lips trailed onto his mate’s neck, kissing above his mark. “You can have one of mine.”
The omega shivered underneath him as Natsu placed kisses down to his clavicle, going further south down onto his chest and hips. He took in a deep breath and ripped off Y/N’s pants, ripping even through his boxers. The omega’s scent came like a tidal wave and mixed in with Natsu’s scent, filling the room and making each other's head spin.
Natsu snarled and licked up folds, moaning at the taste of him.
Y/N moaned out Natsu’s name.
Natsu smirked, and as much as he wanted to taste him, he needed to fill his burning desire. He straightened up and pushed down his pants, boxers going with and releasing his hardened member from it’s confines. His thick cock dripped with pre cum as he pumped it in his hand at the sight of his glistening omega’s hole.
“Natsu plea-”
“Hands and knees, now.”
Y/N blushed and obeyed, turning over onto his hands and knees, ass in perfect view for his mate.
Natsu spanked him hard, making Y/N moan. His head soon fell forward as he moaned loudly, Natsu pushing his thick cock through his folds.
Natsu’s hands dug into his hips as he began to thrust immediately. He set a rough, brutal pace. A low guttural moan, his hips slapping into Y/N’s ass with each thrust.
Y/N moaned loudly and clutched the sheets, “Alpha please!”
Natsu’s hands fell from the omega’s hips and pulled him up. Once his back was flush to his chest, his hand slipped from his hair and around to his neck. Natsu’s thrusts didn’t falter as he squeezed just where he needed to and growled. “Coming in here smelling like that. Taking my cock like a good boy.” He rolled his hips and pushed even deeper.
The omega whimpered as Natsu’s finger began to rub at his clit in time with this thrusts.
This sent Y/N over the edge, crying out loudly as his orgasm washed over him.
Natsu howled, hand falling from the smaller man’s neck. His animalistic pace began to falter as his already thick cock swelled even more, the knot forming.
Natsu roughly pushed his cock the rest of the way in, knot catching as his release came. He sank his teeth into Y/N’s mark. His hot, thick seed coated Y/N’s walls, a shout coming from him and the omega as his walls fluttered and clenched around his cock.
Y/N fell forward, Natsu came with, his body glistening with sweat.
“Such a good little ‘mega,” he hummed.
