My refeed days have been refeed long weekends since my last #physiqueupdate five weeks ago, so my body weight hasn't changed, even though my lower abs are starting to make an appearance. I recomped (gained muscle and lost fat at the same time) for the first few years of my training, only switching to traditional #bulkingandcutting phases three years ago. 🚨CORRECT YOUR SQUAT FORM🚨 - - Pic by @gym.load - ⭕Firstly, a squat is a compound movement which is defined as ‘Any exercise that engages two or more different joints to fully stimulate entire muscle groups and, indeed, multiple muscles.’ This means that squats are not only targeting your legs, they are working your quads, hamstrings, glutes, core, arms, back, shoulders – everything! On top of being a great full body workout, they are also great at strengthening your hips and knees. By performing squats on a regular basis, not only will it help to tone and reduce body fat, but it will also help prevent injuries which may occur at certain joints. - ⭕PROPER SQUAT FORM: Execute the move as if you were going to sit in a chair placed behind you. This will ensure that you are driving your hips back. 1. Go as deep as you can comfortably. If you have knee issues, don’t go deeper than a 90-degree angle, with your thighs parallel to the floor. 2. Keep your heels “glued” to the floor as you squat, and think about driving them into the ground as you straighten your legs to return to the starting position. (This will put even more emphasis on your glutes.) 3. Keep your knees in line with your toes. Also, don’t let your knees cave in. Press them outward so they stay aligned with your feet as you squat down. 4. Do allow your torso to tilt naturally as you squat. (Just don’t collapse your chest or round your shoulders forward.) „Viva Las Vegas“ Wie sagt man immer so schön? Alle guten Dinge sind 3. Nachdem ich nun drei Mal die Pro Card übergeben bekommen habe, fühle ich mich nun endlich so weit mal über die Komfortzone herauszutreten. Am 11.11.2022 werde ich vorerst zum letzen Mal die Amateur- Bühne auf dem Mr. O Natural in Las Vegas betreten und einen Tag später den für mich großen Schritt zu den Profis wagen. Ich hoffe ich kann dort eine gute Figur machen und gehe nicht total unter. 10 Monate Diät und ein langes und ereignisreiches Wochenende liegen nun hinter mir. Viele Gedanken, Emotionen und Bilder schwirren nun im Kopfe herum und es wird sicher noch lange dauern, bis all die erlebten Dinge verarbeitet werden können. Viel Zeit der Ruhe bleibt nicht, denn das große Ziel Las Vegas und der angestrebte Mr. Olympia naht. Und da heißt es nochmal die Muttern anzuziehen, um das Paket nochmal zu verbessern. Gestern bekam ich am Abend unerwarteten Besuch von Michael Jablonski und seiner Mitarbeiterin Kirsten Reith von Global Quality Sports. Dies ist ein international agierendes, ISO-zertifiziertes Unternehmen, welches Dopingkontrollen im Leistungssport durchführt und sich somit für den fairen und gesunden Leistungssport einsetzt. Da auch die @gnbf_ev seit dem Jahr 2014 auf die Zusammenarbeit mit GQS setzt, muss jeder GNBF Athlet mit einer Trainings- bzw. Wettkampfkontrolle rechnen. Gestern war es dann bei mir so weit. Hoch professionell aber trotzdem ruhig und freundlich führten beide eine unangemeldete Visite bei mir durch. Ein Vorgespräch mit der Aufnahme definierter Kenndaten, eine Leibesvisitation und eine Urinprobe wurden hoch professionell durchgeführt. Natürlich war es etwas befremdlich und aufregend, aber letztendlich bin ich sehr dankbar für diese Vorgehensweise gegen den Betrug in unserem Sport. Denn das was ich Liebe, wird durch solche Aktionen gesichert.
