Whatever, Wednesday.

Of all the tiring days this month, this day is the one that I most felt. I can assure that. I know it's doesn't do me good to rant about the day's traffic and the weather, but it really killed me.

But let's try to shift away from that.

Conversations... conversations. Oh yes, I had a number of good conversations today. I realized that I was very talkative today. I wish I can count how many words I uttered today too. But can I help it? I held some of those meetings and there was no way in wanderland that the meeting would proceed with me not breathing a word.

Since I interacted mostly with non-usuals (i.e. non-Nuffies) today, allow me to list down the remarkable people who made this day interesting:

I really really talked a lot. (And I'm still blabbing right now.) I now think I need to drink some ginger tea. (If that does at all help.) But one thing I learned today is that if I speak 100,000 words today, I got to make sure not more than half of it is bull. Else, better if I just don't speak at all.

Communication is for bettering relationships and sending a good message across. And that I think I got to do that today. Except that part when I started asking some semi-showbiz question. UGHHH. Gossip! Why is it hard to resist sometimes. Hahaha!

Anyway, as tiring as the day went, everything today was productive. Aha. I got to eat my favorites today too. Hello you pretty Mango Bene! (And Malayan Seafood Laksa!!!! Gaaahhh yesssss.) ;)

On another note, Nuffnang had three things today: a mini seminar in the office; blogger visitors; and 300 pieces of siomai. (Oh yes, you had me at 300 pieces.)

And because the some of the bloggers decided to stay even after the seminar to wait for traffic to get better. Now say hello to Camie and Robbie! :)

And someone enjoyed playing Dance Central in the lounge. Hahahaha! Good job Robbie and Eason! :)

I say this place is just full of love. Too much love. <3 <3 <3

Anyway, what I would call key pieces of my today are my skirt and my leather jacket. :) All else seemed to remain in the background.

But of course. My umbrella will always be a favorite. ;)

Reconciliation with Fridays.

I'm not a fan of Fridays. I remember writing a blog entry why I actually 'hate' it (read here why). But this particular Friday rolled out differently, just like the previous Friday and it's so beautiful, I can't manage to dislike it at all.

My only concern was how I was grumpy in most parts of the day, probably because of my PMS or the workload. But then you know, I can't keep making my PMS or workload an excuse to bark at people. :( Damn, I might have anger management issues this month which I need to address.

Anyway, like I said, this day had a good roll. Apart from the tons of work that day, a lot of cool things happened.

I had a haircut for my lunch break. There's a new Bench Fix salon that's a few walks away from my office and it automatically wins over the Serendra branch when it comes to the "nearest salon". I just had a few trims and I loved how they ended it with curled ends. <3

Bandila visited our office to feature us for Friday night. We got to be featured in Bandila and I think I had a 2 sec exposure on TV. Funny how the Nuffies were all so happy and excited during the shoot. Some pretended to be heavily working while the camera passed by. But I was actually working mind you. The only fake thing was how I sat on a different table to fill up seats on where they were shooting (in other words, para madaanan ng camera. HAHAHA).  We also borrowed the mic to use it for fake shoots pretending we're reporters. That got us gagging up for a while. Hahaha! 

I got to have dinner date with Lilia, the GF. I guess there are days when you really can't finish EVERYTHING at work right? The minute I finished the urgents, I snapped my laptop shut and met with my waiting girlfriend in Nanbantei. We ordered a plate of salmon sashimi each and a shared plate of tuna sashimi. Good ladies' night diet. (NOT.) After Nanbantei, I brought Lilia to the newly opened bar in High Street, which the The Butcher Shop. But upon getting in, we realized the place or that hour was still closed for an exclusive bar simulation. The bouncers told us to come another day. As we left, some head of the bar named Michael, ran after us and told us "Hey girls, no you can come inside. I don't like turning girls away on a Friday. We're actually having a bar simulation right now, so you can order anything and everything, on the house.  Free food and free drinks, on the house. What more can you ask for?

So generally, I cannot at all say that I had a bad Friday. This is totally one for the books.

I decided to wear a white flowy dress for my Friday. The weather actually cooperated as it didn't rain at all and the sun was shining well too.

I love this white dress that I got in H&M in Hong Kong because I feel like I can partner it with any cover up.

Thankful Thursday. (Yay!)

Through the years, I learned how to be confident, how to ignore how strangers will think, how to strut my own stuff and how to own my world. Yes, that's something to learn.

But taking public shoot in the middle of Bonifacio High Street is so not my jam. Hahaha! And I have noooooo idea how Yuki got to drag me in the middle of that busy street to take my Thursday ootd.

So Yuki Tansengco (check her blog here) visited us in the office awhile ago. And she overheard me call one of my officemates to take my Thursday outfit. 

I think she felt that I was technically disturbing my officemates so offered to do it. Hahaha!

I was super shy so at first I didn't want to (like for real, hindi yung arte lang). Hahaha! I may be doing this ootd thing once in a while, but with close friends to take the shots, not with others. :)) Yuki's such a pro! Nakakahiya to pose in front of her. 

But was so helpful!!!  She made me feel like no one in High Street cared. 

(FACT: When I'm conscious to project a pose in a public place, it always helps me when I look down.)

And of course, I just had to say... "Okay Yuki. Let's do this very very quick." Hahaha!

I got this whole set from Forever 21 last week during their crazy End of Season sale.

I instantly fell in love with the pants because I love printed of course and because I don't own much of those long and flowy pants.

And the shirt!!!

"Do you think we can..." "NOPE." "I like you. Do you..." "NOPE."

Hahaha! The 'NOPE' word sounds so funny in my head. I love how I blended the shirt with the floral pants. And I know they generally don't go together. But when I played it on, it did. I love it! <3

And because I haven't been smiling in my ootds...  

...might as well. 

This day is a good day. :) Thank you God for that surprise pour of blessings. That's a grand slam.

Street Day Tuesday.

I'm no fashion blogger. I think this is a given. But everyone's got style and this is mine. :)

Hahahaha! I kid. Anyways, since I'm doing this N-day challenge for myself where I might blog about what I wear at work, might as well feature different places in my turf. I think if you only know where to look, everywhere is actually picturesque in my place.

This is the set that I had prepared for today. Luckily, when I woke up, it was raining so I decided to wear the whole set with my boots. Perfect for my day's schedule. I had two meetings in the day and Makati Feast at night. 

And I particularly love this floral printed scarf because I feel like I can wear it on anything and in any season. It looks perfect in summer and even in rainy days. :)

Red for Mondays.

Like I said, I was inspired. 

When I said that the wardrobe of The Other Woman inspired me yesterday, I wasn't kidding. It really did make me fix my closet and urged me to match different sets of clothes to wear for the next N days. 

What N represents, I will not tell. :)) But it's got me covered for the next N weeks with mornings clear from minutes of thinking what I should wear that day. 

Although, don't get me wrong. As I said in my previous blog post, I do love dressing my mood in some occasions. But really, it helps to already have a plan. I mean, don't you miss how it was like in high school where your only problem was whether you'd keep your hair down, in a pony or braided (if braided, what kind? LOL).

Actually, I love dressing up every Monday. It preps me up for the week as I open my work notebook to face my week bites. For me, there are two important days where you have to look nice: Mondays to prep you up, and Fridays because you never know how that day will roll. ;)

Sneakers Day for Wildcard Wednesday

People who get to see me everyday know that my style revolves around printed pants or dresses. For me, anyone can do it with a printed pair of trousers. And you'd survive a day feeling like you've done it all. (Well that's just me.) Of course, you wear shoes that match those pants, like maybe heels or plain flats. 

But apart from that, I'm also not very a sporty person when it comes to fashion. Where usually my friends would pair their shorts with chucks, I'd just go with a pair of Havaianas or animal printed doll shoes. I only wear sports attire when I'm really working out. Otherwise, I'd feel really uncomfortable with my outfit that day.

So every time you see me in sneakers, that's me experimenting. Like last Wednesday ;)

I love how you can make everything look different just by changing your shoes. I mean, I was wearing the exact same thing when I partied with my friends last May. I guess make-up and shoes can really change the whole arrive of your outfit.

I'm lucky Marc Ritz is always game to take photos cos he's practicing photography as well. And he's doing a great job btw! :) 

We love this spot in BGC whenever I'm wearing not so corporate-y. The greens, the rocks and the playground just go so well with everything! :) 

If I wasn't wearing a dress, I would have climbed my way in that rainbow monkey bars. 

And when's the last time you played piko anyway? Don't you just love how we're part of the generation that actually experienced street games? Yes, we had gameboy, v-tech, tamagochi and all the other gaming devices, but we didn't let it consume more than 50% of the time. We grew up knowing how to play tumbang preso, piko, tagutaguan and langit lupa.

When I posted this photo on Instagram and claimed that I'm good at piko, my friends claimed that they're better and then challenged me with a one-on-one. Hahaha! 

Yes, I still have a thing with pedestrians. ;)
