Anway neopolitan trio AU where

Techno is a farmer minding his own business when this golden furred wolf like creature breaks through and starts trying to hunt Techno's animals. As Techno goes out to banish the animal a tall boy with brown hair and warm eyes comes through yelling the creature's name.

"Tommy! Get back here! Tommy? You'll get yourself hurt!" He calls, panting through his words.

Techno pulls the creature away from his animals in a harshly crafted lead. He calls out to ask who this kid is and why his dog is trying to eat his livestock but is cut off by the kid.

"Please I am sorry, he is my pet. I have tamed him by myself. I am just trying to survive and he aids me, he helps me find food, water, shelter. Please do not hurt him." He sounds afraid, like a child talking of monsters under their bed.

"Where are your parents?" he says, softer than he'd like to admit, "Why do they not provide for you?"

"My parents are no longer with us. They passed away years past." He walks over and takes the lead of the snarling creature, shushing it as he removes the lead from it's head. "He is all I have." The last part was quiet, for Tommy he assumed.

"Let me care for you." The words surprised Techno as well as the kid in front of him. He didn't know this child's name much less enough to care for him.

"What's the catch?"

"There is none. A child your age should not be on the wild like this. It's far too dangerous." Techno was looked at long and hard. "I can not have it on my conscience," he said at last.

"Will Tommy get to stay?"

"If he doesn't eat my livestock."

"Deal." He held his hand out, shaking but there.

"Deal," Techno replied softly, taking his hand.

As the weeks went on Techno learns more about the kid. His name is Wilbur and he is 16, his parents died when he was just 13, he loved berries of any kind, he was afraid of starting fires, he was abnormally strong for his age. He also learned more of Tommy, like the fact that he prefers to eat out of a bowl or that he had sought Wilbur out. Eventually Techno forgets he once lived without them. It's not long before Wilbur says I love you, soon adding a Dad or Father to the statement.
