Tirsdag 26. Mars: Vintercamp dag 1.　雪学一日目

Fra og med i dag starter en 4 dagers lang tur til Iyama i Nagano, der jeg, Hotaru og over 300 andre skal delta på. Folk fra alle aldre ifra forskjellige hippo-familier rundt om i landet kommer for å leke seg i snøen og med håp om å få nye venner.

Lunsjen spiste vi på lyntoget Shinkansen. Hotaru valgte en bento som så veldig god ut, men den smakte tydeligvis ikke så godt som vises på trynet hans. Han trykte i seg alt til slutt da, samtidig som han lagde morsomme grimaser.

Jeg spiste koreansk Kimpa. Slår ikke feil.

Fikk god kontakt med ei jente som jeg alltid har visst hvem var, fordi jeg ser henne omtrent hver lørdag på Hippo. Hadde aldri hatt en ordentlig samtale med henne da, men hun var overraskende enkel å snakke med så vi fikk god kontakt følte jeg. Hun ga meg til å med sjokolade på bussen!

Middagen dag 1. Sånn passe for å være ærlig. Får helt uten melk jeg.

Jeg glemte å si isted at alle vi 300 som deltok ble delt opp i flere grupper, fordi alle får ikke plass i det samme vertshuset. I min gruppe på omtrent 20 personer kanskje, var 2 av dem fra Kina. Dem hadde nettop kommet til Japan, og kunne såvidt Japansk i det hele tatt. Hadde litt problemer med det iblant, men gikk forsåvidt greit. Hun kinesike jenta var helt rå til å tegne ivertfall. Hun tegnet meg Hinata og Tomoe, og brukte sikker under 10 minutt på hver av dem.

ASRock lanzó Jupiter X600, su nueva mini PC de alto desempeño

La compañía fabricante de placas base y VGA anunció el lanzamiento de la línea Jupiter X600, que se destaca por su tamaño compacto y por ser compatible con los últimos procesadores AMD Ryzen en formato AM5.

ASRock, fabricante de motherboards y tarjetas gráficas, anunció el lanzamiento de su mini PC Jupiter X600, que combina flexibilidad y capacidad de expansión en un formato de tamaño reducido.

"En una era en la que el espacio es escaso y las demandas de rendimiento siguen aumentando, nuestra nueva Jupiter X600 se destaca. Fue diseñada para admitir los últimos procesadores AMD Ryzen™ serie 8000/7000 en socket AM5, por lo que no solo es compacta, sino también muy potente. Esto la hace ideal para satisfacer las diversas necesidades de cualquier entorno moderno y dinámico", dijo Hernán Chapitel, Director de Ventas para Latinoamérica de ASRock. Y agregó: "La Jupiter X600 combina potencia, velocidad y eficiencia. Admite memoria DDR5 dual de hasta 96 GB y cuenta con múltiples salidas de video, incluidas USB 4.0, dos DisplayPort y HDMI para realizar múltiples tareas sin problemas con pantallas de alta resolución".

That this blog is back..? Apparently it just turned 9 years old. So why not celebrate?

Lately I've done a little coding. Just bash. My mom got hit with a ransomware attack so I went a tad crazy with a Pi-hole, Fail2Ban and now Firewalld (original Uncomplicated Fire Wall). It's all on a Fedora server running on that ancient nettop I was going to make into a NAS.

Current problem: Pi-hole web console won't cooperate and 403's me. Forbidden why? Fuck if I know. Fuck if I've had the energy to find out. I've got other, completely unrelated work.

But. yes so first order of business is unfuck the Pi-hole web console. It isn't the web server malfunctioning because Webmin still works, and it was previously working so it's something relatively recent. At any rate I can at least monitor its status if not its activity.

Next up on the docket: "Linux Attentive SERver Console". It's a silly name but it has some clear objectives:

Backup management

System resource monitoring

Fail2ban, Firewalld, and Pi-hole metrics

Email summaries and alerts

Web-based interface

Security and authentication

So it's a big project but one step at a time. First backup management, which already sort of exists. I have scripts that I need to get running properly with cron jobs with basic backup creation and management. So next step is to start expanding user control.
