Getting better grades in school or doing better in job training can be much smoother and less difficult than most people make it. The problem often is that we don't know how to study, take notes, and prepare for exams.

I struggled in school mostly because no one in my world really understood how to study (other than memorizing). Teachers slung class material at us, but never got into how to learn it. I got lucky and started to figure things out by trial and error, going with what seemed to work.

Not until I trained for my flight instructor license did I really get a firm idea of how we humans learn and what we need to do for good test taking. The computer era has made things easier, but I still see school kids and working people struggle with bad BAD attempts to learn. Not a clue about note taking, mindfulness, or other things which make a difference.

My book, "Study Like a MOFO," is deliberately small, meaty, and inexpensive. I probably couldn't have afforded the books and courses or tutors with these lessons, back in the day.
