remember how last year i decided to give the neverhood askblog another chance? third time's the charm and it's near the new year time again. these are the intro pic and the trial question post, the question being "is there anything people are surprised about when they find out about your role's relationship?". the askblog is both otp and brotp so this applies to either romantic or friendly relationship, and my role is a friendship one.

these were made for the enrolling poll (people vote for my role to be accepted into the current askblog roles list) but i'm allowed to post these elsewhere as long as i don't share the poll link. and i'm also officially tired of writing text in there myself so i use fonts! yay! it's all gonna be properly translated on pics and not in the post text below. so off to a good start

The kloborg brotp ask thinggg continuesss, this time its a tricky question namely "did you ever think you'd end your friendly disagreement with a... loving unity?" (a pun on how its a brotp in my posts and also a suggestion to bring it to the next level. but im afraid Hoborg doesnt take things this way)

(Hoborg is sitting at the Pin Island next to Klogg who seems to be chilling. Hoborg holds a yellow letter; these are used to pass the question to characters in these askblog posts. Most of the stuff that follows is told by Hoborg off-screen in his thoughts, so it's not all vocal but text still belongs to him.)

Hoborg: I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly but... I'm afraid you'll be disappointed with my answer. The thing is, I already do love him. But unity in such things is needed from both sides, no? I can't make him love me back, that's just cruel! I can't even make him feel sympathy towards me, it goes against what I've put into my creations... They have to choose on their own what they like and what they feel towards certain things. But even if I can't make Klogg do everything I want... I still have some responsibility before those I've created. They need to have at least someone to rely upon. Someone to love them for simply existing! At the end I've made myself friends to make it all less lonely and I love them all... there's no other way! That's why I love him, too... even though a lot of people find him scary or annoying, he's still one of us.

(He looks over at Klogg who's making a paper plane. Then suddenly he bends over and hugs him, speaking into his shoulder.)

H: It's all gonna be alright.

Klogg: For sure, but for whom...

H: For all of us. You, me, everyone in the Neverhood. I won't leave you here all alone.

K: I kinda got used to it... eh, come on now...

(He raises a hand to either hug Hoborg back or to brush him off, but instead he just defeatedly leans into the hug, placing his chin on Hoborg's shoulder.)

Hey, comrades, do you like small AUs that no one cares about? Well, too bad, because I have one for you.(Sorry for my English) AU – Endless Sea. Almost the same Neverhood, but very much reduced in scale - with the universe it turned into one large planet, covered mostly by a dark ocean. The sun is shining above it, but somewhat strange and weak in terms of illumination, its heating is normal.

The stories of the brothers remained practically unchanged, adjusted for the sea and the scale (so the lands of Ottoborg could not fall apart from the lack of gravity, but, say, fall apart due to the first strong storm, because they were completely artificial and were on the surface of the water).

Neverhood Island is larger in scale, with a wilder section that may slowly grow over time due to Hoborg's actions.

Regarding the characters, the story of Neverhud also remains similar, except that Klogg could have been carried away by the sea to some other lands, where others could meet him.

So, a lot of time has passed since the events of the game, the hoodians are gradually beginning to settle into the new world. Even, say, a second generation has appeared, increasingly understanding the world and its laws. What was discovered? For example, that the sea is connected with the night sky much more strongly than it seems, so it would be worth starting to satisfy growing curiosity and try to find new lands. After all, even Hoborg knows very little.

Speaking of Hoborg, he soon stopped being a king, since his person was not suited to rule. Too soft and non-conflicting, he didn’t even want it, and therefore left it to his creatures to choose from, instead trying to teach them what he knew and could do - craft and art. Perhaps since then, artisans will get used to marking themselves with a patch of two dark stripes on the right shoulder.

The characters in the art are Lattum, Malleus, Marre and Stellket, all names may change in the future if there is one. Lattum is the self-proclaimed guardian of the island. Malleus is an inventor and a walking disaster. Marre is a fisherman who controls a boat (as below). Stellket is an astrologer, looking down on everyone from above.

About the characters on the tree choice I drew those characters, pics with which changed smth for me this year. Some posts with them boosted my accs. Some of them made me continue learning to animate. Couple of them are just comfort characters for me.
