Eddie’s phone buzzes on the table. He glances down at the message preview and sees that Buck’s sent a picture to the 118 group chat. Smiling, Eddie unlocks his phone, expecting to see a pity-party selfie or a picture of a bowl of soup. Instead, the image that loads makes his heart plummet into his stomach as the world comes to a screeching halt around him. It’s Buck, folded awkwardly in what appears to be the trunk of a car, hands secured behind his back with zip tie handcuffs, duct tape plastered over his mouth, eyes closed.

"Can you remind my brother that we were supposed to get lunch?” Maddie asks. “Uh sure,” Eddie says slowly, confused. “But why don’t you just call him yourself?” “I did, a couple times, but he didn’t answer. I assumed he was still with you?” Eddie thinks back to last night, to Buck specifically making plans to go back to his own place so he wouldn’t be late for lunch with Maddie. Buck had texted him when he got home, just a simple night :) that still made Eddie’s heart flutter, so obviously Buck had made it back to the loft… But there haven’t been any texts from Buck all morning. Not that that is necessarily unheard of, but especially over the last few weeks it’s become rarer and rarer for even a few hours to go by without Eddie’s phone dinging with a message notification from Buck. A small tendril of worry curls around Eddie’s ribs.

“I know you’re awake,” Eddie murmurs quietly, nosing at Buck’s hair. Buck can’t help but smile at that, warmth blooming under his ribs. Of course Eddie knows him well enough that he can tell when Buck’s faking sleep. Still, Buck’s enjoying this far too much to give up the game now. He keeps his eyes firmly closed as Eddie rolls him onto his back, but he can’t refrain from tilting his chin up slightly in anticipation of the kiss he knows is coming.

Oook! To start off, some facts about me here!

You can call me Kat, or any variations of my user will do!

I am Singaporean, can speak both English and Chinese fluently (doubt about Chinese though). Also a minor, so take note of that please! I don't mind interacting with people who aren't but if people have a problem with that I'd understand and stop bothering you.

You can use my art, as long as you credit me properly! My ask box is open, as are my dms, so feel free to drop me a message if you don't feel like sending a question where I'll reply and post publicly (actually please do message me please I'm lonely I want to talk pleas-)

Even though this blog is mainly The Glass Scientists, I'm in several other fandoms although I'm massively inactive and contribute nothing to them. Examples include Good Omens, Nevermore (webtoon), Legend of Hei, The Owl House, Amphibia, just usual fantasy adventure stuff mostly.

Watching Lenore taunt Annabel’s group with Duke and Pluto in episode 94 was a delight, but I do wonder why and how long they were waiting there. Although, I could honestly see on their way back for Duke to change, one of them said something along the lines of ‘Hey, do you know what would be a laugh?’, and the other two immediately went ‘Oh we’re already in’

I wish I had the ability to grab Annabel by the shoulders through the screen and yell at her to just tell Lenore that Montresor was originally planning to kill her and she threw out Duke’s name in order to protect her. Like from a character perspective, I completely get why she would think that wouldn’t be important to mention considering how she views everyone else at Nevermore, but boy, even though it wouldn’t have fixed everything right there, that is very important information about the situation Lenore should know about

No matter if Lenore is actually the one who killed Annabel, I love that the deans fucked with Annabel’s memories to try to split up her and Lenore, only for it to result in Annabel cementing her unwavering loyalty in Lenore. The two of them truly underestimated about just how down bad that girl is for Lenore

Currently having thoughts about in episode 79, while also getting wrapped up in what she assumed was Lenore stepping up their fake rivalry, Annabel was likely so wrapped up in how excited she was to give Lenore back the pendant and explain what she did to it (especially with her smile when she told Lenore ‘till our next stolen moment’)
