FC BARCELONA: LA LIGA SUMMARY

Here we are, 8 months later, we have reached the end of a historical, unforgettable season. A season full of firsts and lasts moments.

So let's dig in... Starting with the general before going into some of the most noticeable details.

Now let's go a bit more in-depth...

The season started on October 4th against non-other than Real Madrid, the first Women's "El Clasico" in which Barça came out on top, ending the match in a 0-4 victory. Which they repeated with a difference at the Johan Cruyff with a 4-1 victory on January 31st. Patri became the first player to score a goal in a Clasico.

The team continued to dominate the league until June 1st, 2021 when they played against Atletico Madrid, 2 days after achieving a historic treble. The ladies were handed a 4-3 defeat, having beaten Atleti 3-0 at the Johan Cruyff earlier in the season. That loss ended a 758 DAYS UNBEATEN STREAK, i.e. over 2 years without a loss.

THE CAMP NOU!! January 6th, 2021. Barça hosted Espanyol at the Camp Nou, 50 years after playing there for the first time, with players from the first-ever Femeni team that played at the Camp Nou present. January 6th, 2021. Barça welcomed the New Year in the best possible way, beating their City rivals at Camp Nou. The Match ended in a 5-0 victory in which Alexia Putellas became the first woman ever to score a goal at the Camp Nou. The ladies again came out on top in the 2nd match with an epic last-minute victory courtesy of Mariona Caldentey

The biggest results came against Deportivo and Badajoz. On December 5th, 2020 FC Barcelona beat Santa Tereza 9-0, during which Jenni scored a super hat-trick, Lieke scored a hattrick, and Asisat and Mariona scored the remaining 2 goals. The second 9-0 rout came on April 17th, 2021 vs Depor where Alexia scored a hat-trick with the remaining 6 goals coming from Jenni x2, Mapi 1, Marta 1, and 2 Own Goals.

The most narrow result came against Granadilla where the team came out of the match with a 0-1 victory, courtesy of Bruna.

THE FANS COME BACK!! One year and one month on since stadiums were closed to fans, on Sunday, April 4, supporters were allowed back to the Estadi Johan Cruyff for a Primera Iberdrola game. It was Matchday 25 match against Levante which ended in a 7-1 victory. The match was attended by 944 people who were able to witness Vicky's last goal with a Barça shirt.

The most recurrent results were 3-0, 4-0, 5-0, and 6-0, each of them registering 4 times throughout the season.

How much has Ariadna's backstory changed since you created her?

Mun Ari: It actually hasn’t changed much really ^^. I planned her story a long time ago, but  I suffer from serious writing blocks ;-;

At first, I started writing each chapter describing her relationship with each diaboy until I introduced her to Kino. HOWEVER! as the story was reaching “the end” I was lacking development with their relationship (it made zero sense and had no credibility, it was going to be like “hello!.... *one chapter later* Oh! I’m in love!”). I lost the initial grounds and I reminded myself: “This is Ari’s route, I need to develop her and her relationship with Kino. Focuse!”

So I discharged those chapters as “extras” since they had nothing to do with the story. I planned it better and now I’m satisfied with how it’s turning out~

The good news is that I’m so so SO close to finish it! 🎉

Thar, Nak, Yak, Zopkios, Zoa - Coquihalla Summit Recreation Area - 13 hours, 15 minutes

What an adventure last weekend! Ariadna, Joseph, Nick, Natasha, Rodger, & I summitted five peaks in one day. We started at 7:50am and ended at 21:10hrs. On Friday night, Ariadna and I went for a quick climb at Project Abby and then drove out to the parking lot at the base of the summits and camped in her van. The rain was relentless and continued on throughout the evening and we started to believe that the weather might not be so great for the hike the next morning. We fell asleep to the sound of the rain and the hope that we would wake up to the sunshine.

The next morning, we woke up at 6am and awaited our friends’ arrival while we got ready. They had to drop off their dogs in Chilliwack so I accepted that we would be starting the hike later than I normally would have liked. When they arrived, they looked so prepared and ready to go that I began to feel insecure and nervous. I knew that three of them were part of SAR (four including Ariadna) and I think this intimidated me. I fumbled with my pack and couldn’t decide if I wanted to wear my jacket or not. Somewhere within the first 20 minutes of hiking, I lost the mouthpiece to my water bladder and got very hot in my jacket. I tried to take off my jacket as quickly as possible without falling behind; I realized very soon that I was the slowest and least experienced in the group. 

Thar is not a popular hike and cowers beneath the more prominent Nak and Yak peaks that people tend to focus on. Thus, we had to create our own trail and bushwhack the first hour or so to get to the ridge of Thar. I was glad to finally be a follower and not worry about whether we were on the right trail or not. It felt nice to not have to be the one to continuously look at my map and phone to make sure we were not getting lost. I tried to engage with the rest of the group who were people I didn’t know. I wanted them to like me and not think I was holding them back or slowing them down. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears - how were they all so fast?

We quickly gained elevation and reached Thar. Once we got to the snow line, I realized with embarrassment that I didn’t even know how to hold my ice axe properly. Nick noticed this and very kindly taught me how to hold it and what to do in case I started to slip. I tried to suppress my insecurities and focus on how amazing it was to be doing this incredible traverse with such confident people. 

After Thar, we hiked along the ridge and enjoyed the foggy views of the following peaks we had to get to. We think we saw a wolverine although it was very far and since I’m practically blind, I wasn’t even sure what I was looking at. When we got to the base of Yak, we put on our microspikes and donned our ice axes to prepare for the steep snow bank. Again, I felt a bit nervous but the first hill ended up being fine and not as steep as I thought. 

Throughout our traverse, I noticed that I was keeping up and doing just fine but I continued to be in my head about my insecurities. I know this is something I need to work on because what I express outwardly does not always match how I feel inside and I am getting tired of the insecure version of me holding me back. There was one point during the hike when I was ‘leading’ everyone up a snowy hill and felt I was going too slowly. My mind kept telling my body to go faster because somehow I thought my teammates would resent me if I was going slower than their usual pace. Yet, in my inexperience with the ice axe, I stumbled and slid down the snow into Nick. I tried to self-arrest just like Nick taught me but I think I reacted too slowly. I tried to brush it off and make a joke but before anyone could say anything, I walked across to the rocky slope (where there was no snow) and clambered up the hill that way instead. I felt much safer on the boulder field but knew that if I wanted to do more mountaineering, I would have to overcome my insecure mind and, of course, let go of others’ opinions of me. 

We ate lunch on the Zopkios ridge. By this time, it was near 3pm and the sunshine was dissipating the fog. As we looked back at the summits we had hiked that day, we couldn’t believe that we did it all on our own two feet (and hands, I guess!). The rest of the hike did not seem too complex to me but I was definitely wrong about that. Just because there is no giant peak to climb, it does not mean that the route is easy to traverse. We spent over an hour trying to down-climb from Zopkios. We realized that many paths were dangerous and lead to a drop off. Therefore, with much thoughtfulness and trial and error from the entire team, we eventually found the best way for us and used a hand-line to climb down the trickiest part of it. 

After all that, we realized it was getting late. It was 6pm and we were not sure if we would make it to the last peak. We discussed two options: bushwhack down from Zopkios to the lake, which would be around 3.5kms or continue with the original plan of hitting Zoa knowing that there would be a well-worn path down from Zoa (5.5kms). The second option was longer and also involved some unknowns but seemed more favorable since none of us wanted to spend the last few hours of our traverse bushwhacking. Fortunately, we picked the best option as after our discussion, the route to Zoa did not involve complex problem solving. Some light bushwhacking and slight uphill (which I could hardly handle since I was extremely exhausted by then) eventually lead us to the final peak just as the sun was starting to set. It was warm and beautiful but I admit I could hardly enjoy it as my body was so tired from not only physical exhaustion but mental exhaustion as well. However, my energy picked up again as we made the fast descent down a marked trail from Zoa. 

They say you get one final burst of energy right before the finish line and that is what I was definitely riding all the way down to the parking lot. Ariadna and I even raced to her van the last 10 meters and ended the long day in laughter. We were tired but elated from the day’s events. I personally could hardly believe that we achieved all five peaks in 13 hours; I was sure that we would be out there for at least 15 hours. I felt thankful to be with such a committed, confident team of people who maintained a positive attitude the entire time. The trip that day kept me on a high for days afterward and is now giving me a new drive to learn more about mountaineering and summiting more peaks.

How you pick your titles: As you can see I didn’t really give them lots of thought at first…now I just wait for inspiration and believe me they all have to do with the theme. So yeah they just come to me LOL (god have mercy of my lack of creativity when it comes for titles ;-;)

Do you outline? (Acording to what slothy said, from what I searched and undertood LOL) YES. I have lots of outlines (drafts) here. Sometimes I get an idea stock in my head and I have to write it down or maybe start it, get stock (again) and come back to it later on :3. It helps, but just don’t forget about them! Check your drafts once in a while, maybe cleaning them or maybe you’ll surprise yourself about such good ideas that you had but forgot (^.^)/. Also for Ariadna’s route I suffer, because I want it to make sense from some asks I’ve answer and to write as accurate as I can Kino’s character…so the escenarios can be on drafts for weeks…I try to keep it slow, you know~?

I’m happy to announce that I’ve started a new AU!

Yeah, I know: “MUN ARI! STOP CREATING NEW AUS AND FOCUSE ONLY IN ONE! YOU STILL NEED TO FINISH ARIADNA’S ROUTE!”

Well…I’m sorry? I was talking to @eli-loversblog and we came with the idea of a college AU! Of course, each one of us will make our own version (since we have an OC with Kino and have a different story each) and I’m so excited to publish it!!

I want to make clear some things though~

Is a college AU meaning that all the boys will have a major/carrer of my choosing (well I gave them one basing myself in their personalities, but it’s just my personal opinion LOL)

The boys won’t have their canon age and they won’t be vampires. They be older and human: Shu is going to be 22, Reiji and Yuuri 21, the triplets and Kino 20 and Subaru 19. The Mukami (if I decide to add them): Ruki and Kou 21, Yuma and Azusa 20 and the Tsukis Carla 22 and Shin 21 (because I want and can >:v). Yui 20 and Ariadna, Naomi and a new character named Natalie (just for this AU) 21).

Talking about them~: All the boys and Naomi come from rich families. Ariadna comes from the same background as the canon: upper-middle class. How Kino earns his money is a mystery and so in this AU (although I’m thinking the possibly of giving him some actions here or there or maybe some sort of app that is pretty well sold, but who knows~?)

Ariadna moved just recently to Japan from Mexico to attend college, so she has trouble comunicating in japanese. Is it important to mention she lives in the college dormitories? Also~ she’s roomates with Naomi.

Is going to be a multi-chapter, but I’m not sure how many ^^' (as always). They’ll be also long so I won’t make any promises I can’t keep LOL

It have some NSFW episodes, but I will tell you in advance if it makes you uncomfortable (But I know you are all thirsty fans and NSFW are actually your favorites~~7u7)

The first episode it’ll be long and a little boring (since it’ll talk about the Sakamaki’s past but adjusted to a “modern college AU to fit). I’ll add that in this story Karlheinz will be named only Tougo Sakamaki (again with the human thing)

Hi! Merry Christmas!

Quick question: would you guys prefer if I made a post about how my work progress is going?

I’m so close to end Ariadna’s route and the swan lake AU and of course there are many new projects coming as well so I was wondering if it would be helpful?

But even better!: Ariadna is the knight-princess that saves the enchanted/cursed prince Kino?

Summary: Ariadna is different from any other princess she has met before: she’s a free-will princess for as long as she can remember. Since she isn’t going to ascend to her kingdom’s throne anytime soon, she has the privilege to be free, travel and explore as much as she wants. That is until one day she decides to spend some time doing what she likes in a mysterious forest when suddenly a raven steals her beloved family ring, guiding her to a secret passage behind a waterfall. Where she is and what she sees is something she never expected to witness, is something that not even in the various places she’s been in has seen before...

You know what this means~? Yes! A new AU scenario for Arino! I had this idea going around my head for a while now, so: what better chance to write it down that now that I’m still in summer vacation~?

Just look at Ariadna as a brave knight-princess? This is a great idea!! I just have to write this down!!

Tiny announcement: about new upcoming projects~

Mun Ari: I have many ideas regarding drabbles, but I think my biggest problem is indecision (and laziness >.>).

however there is a second bad news: Summer school should be called “short-period hell classes”, I’m so busy I can’t sit down and write, not to mention even think...although my dear friend Stephie is helping me out with a “rain of ideas” (don’t know the term in English ^^’).

Anyway~ I’ll make a small list just for me to have things clearer 😃 :

Upcoming projects (they are confirmed to happen, they are a must and are in process):

First things first: finishing Ariadna’s Route (I’m currently in a writeblock ;u;)

Translating Ariadna’s route into Spanish :’D

“The lost lovers”

mermaid/mermen (in process!),

Swan lake (chapter 2 in process!),

College AU (product from a random conversation...yet I’m not sure to continue it),

feudal Japanese era (Inuyasha or Kamisama kiss type, I got this idea and now I CAN’T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!)

and now Rusan AU (sort of like the Turkish serie Seyit and Sura available on Netflix. I highly recommend it!! Of course my inspiration came from the new Absolute Zero art and automatically thought about this serie! Now I want to write one one-shot inspired by it!!)

From this point forward...I’m not sure which project to do first since they are all ideas either I want to do or maybe I’ve started, but abandoned for any reason:

Announcement~!

Hi guys~

Well, as you know January is around the corner (literally). With the New Year comes a new beginning~ The same thing applies to this blog!

I want to say that I’ve been figuring things out and I’ll write down the rules that are going to apply from January and forward. I want to say that I’ll be more active since I have come with a plan, which is important so I can know what to do next~ I was busy this last days studying once more all the characters, but specially Kino (which I truly enjoy ☺️). I want to represent him as perfect as I can~

I have many ideas that I hope I’ll be able to share! The most important thing now is to continue Ariadna’s route! I have so many ideas flowing that sometimes I need to stop and write them down hehe~

About the drawing part... gah! I only feel frustration, but it’s ok! Since is the type of frustration that keeps me from going! I’m so excited, since I have many projects in progress and I think they are worth to be share! Squee!
