my reading list for jamie & coco's readathon! i've been struggling to come up with a book set in september so if anyone has any recs, let me know!! i like this lineup because it features a couple personal challenges, but is still full of whimsy and romance which feels very much like me :)
i've included a blank copy of this stunning graphic for anyone else who wants to fill one out.
thank you thank you @goodwitchs and @withasmiles !! this is exactly what i needed to motivate my september reading! two down, eighteen to go :)

October backlog readathon!
So people seemed interested enough by the perspective of reading books released before 2010 for me to organize yet another readathon 👀✨ a bunch of new releases I'm excited about come out in September tho so let's make October the month for backlog 😆
As usual, no hard rules, I just suggest making a list of books on October 1st and update your progress throughout the month lol
Let's give older books some love! 💜
Use the tag #backlogathon22!

✨September JOMP challenge✨ - 01/09/2023 - 🌿TBR this month🌿
The challenge just started, and I'm already late... In my defence, I like to take my photos with natural lighting, but I spent most of my afternoon yesterday out of the house, so I missed my chance.
I don't actually stick to some personal TBR schedule. I pick my books very sporadically. But I do know I'll be reading the next book in the "Witch of Grich" series by Marija Jurić Zagorka called "Malleus Maleficarium".
I might just participate in the Croatian SF Readathon that Morina Kutija introduced earlier today. There's only 3 prompts, so it's very time friendly, and I've been meaning to read some more speculative fiction by Croatian authors anyways.
Speaking or Morina Kutija, I am definitely going to be reading through the new issue during this month as well! Unfortunately, since it is a Croatian speculative fiction magazine, most of the stories are on Croatian, but I might just share the ones available on English (they are all free to read on their site 😊).

What's on your TBR this month?

I saw some other people do this so here is a year in review for me!!
January: got exposed to COVID and got in trouble with my boss for quarantining, quit from that boss because she refused to pay me the correct amount of money and directly lied to me multiple times, went stargazing at a very cool place
February: burnt the fuck out, went to a dodie concert!!, the beginning of a genuine mental breakdown and my ocd started getting incredibly severe
March: 72 hour long panic attack where I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack, got to go on a week long trip with my girlfriend
April: college acceptances really started coming out which was a fucking time, ofmd and heartstopper were watched, I started a new job!
May: participated in a readathon and was able to read for every single one of the prompts (only like ten people did this) so I read 32 books, went to a lumineers concert, committed to my university!
June: went to pride with my girlfriend on a whim, went to the beach, famous person I cared about died and it really impacted me
July: got to see my girlfriend for a week before I went to school
August: went to my university and did their program, registered for my classes, my roommate started being a dick to me
September: making friends is really fucking difficult, I joined my school’s debate team
October: fall break happened and I didn’t like being home that weekend but I did get to see my gf <3, my birthday happened (aka no longer a teenager), saw Daniel Howell’s show, started feeling more like I’d made friends but it’s still rough, started therapy again
November: thanksgiving happened and was not good lmao, met my girlfriend’s grandparents for the first time
December: finals suck, I hope to god I’m passing all of my classes, class registration happened but I got most of my classes this time, strongly considering changing my major, went to my first collegiate debate tournament but ended up judging rather than debating, dissociation has been really bad like it is every December, got the rest of December to see what’s gonna happen

July Readathon
Much like so many others, I too have been inspired by @logarithmicpanda to do a readathon! I'm super excited as I have not had time to read like this in like forever.
I'm going to do a mix of fiction and nonfiction, crossing books off of my TBR (collected over the last four years of grad school) left and right.
My list is as follows (in no particular order & many of these books are quite short):
Workshops of Empire by Eric Bennett (I started and finished it today)
All My Rage by Sabaa Tahir
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Palestine: A Socialist Introduction edited by Sumaya Awad and brian bean
Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paulo Freire
Tar Baby by Toni Morrison
Care Work: Dreaming Disability Justice by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha
The Story of Jane: The Legendary Underground Feminist Abortion Service by Laura Kaplan
The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates
The Jakarta Method: Washington's Anticommunist Crusade & the Mass Murder Program that Shaped Our World by Vincent Bevins
---
I can't wait to get started!

After a busy day with the family. I decided to pick up and read more of “Good Girl, Bad Blood” by Holly Jackson. No I cannot wear my eye make up today after reacting to my new eye make up I purchased from a birthday gift card back in September where my eyes felt scratchy from it.
Also I have been new here since Saturday November 5, 2022. I make YouTube videos about the books I love, I also make TikTok videos. I have an Instagram I post on. Facebook and Snapchat are private usage for family and friends only. I recently left Twitter by making my Twitter account permanently inactive on October 31, 2022. Mostly you will see on here are books I am reading, YouTube video announcements, and eventually it will extend for my fandom for Black Veil Brides. Speaking of YouTube I am working on a project just announced right now as “Project Turkey.” While waiting for Project Turkey’s arrival, your are welcome to watch my two October YouTube content “Weekly Halloween Spookathon Readathon” and “72 hour Halloween Spookathon Readathon” on Alli’sBooks&Creativity. Hope you like my tumblr content I share. 😊
