my reading list for jamie & coco's readathon! i've been struggling to come up with a book set in september so if anyone has any recs, let me know!! i like this lineup because it features a couple personal challenges, but is still full of whimsy and romance which feels very much like me :)
i've included a blank copy of this stunning graphic for anyone else who wants to fill one out.
thank you thank you @goodwitchs and @withasmiles !! this is exactly what i needed to motivate my september reading! two down, eighteen to go :)

The Hazel Wood • Book Review.
Hello People!!!! How are we doing? What is up with life? Is everything good? Good! Because I am about to turn it bad. Welcome to my hell hole! Quite literally! This review will be terrible and is a rant review so you might as well turn back right now if you don’t want to get angry and also if you don’t want spoilers. I am usually a No Spoiler person but this book forced me. So if you have decided…

I'm doing a 24 hour readathon but split across 3 days because doing it in 1 day means I miss a dose of my meds and honestly that's not worth it.
I put £1 in a post for every book I read and for August and September I'm also putting £1 in another pot that will go towards my just giving page for The Little Princess Trust.
I've also used this as a chance to read my comics which have boosted the numbers.
I've done 2 days and hee are my stats so far:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 1 stats:
Time Read : 9 hours
Books Read: 2 | Comics: 18
Total: 20
Pages Read: 1330
Day 2 stats:
Time Read : 8 hours
Books Read: 3 | Comics: 11
Total: 14
Pages Read: 1190
Total Time: 17 hours

October backlog readathon!
So people seemed interested enough by the perspective of reading books released before 2010 for me to organize yet another readathon 👀✨ a bunch of new releases I'm excited about come out in September tho so let's make October the month for backlog 😆
As usual, no hard rules, I just suggest making a list of books on October 1st and update your progress throughout the month lol
Let's give older books some love! 💜
Use the tag #backlogathon22!

So I'm watching my sister's dog while she goes out of town this weekend, and while she's gone I'm planning to do a 48 hour Spooky readathon where I turn my phone off and read as much as I can for 2 days.
.......I might have over-packed though. I wanted a variety of Spooky and Spoopy in case I wanted to read something different. Oops.
Currently reading For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten. Weirdly much more gory than I expected.
(PS: yes I know two of the books are def not spooky they're just rollovers from my September tbr)

✨September JOMP challenge✨ - 01/09/2023 - 🌿TBR this month🌿
The challenge just started, and I'm already late... In my defence, I like to take my photos with natural lighting, but I spent most of my afternoon yesterday out of the house, so I missed my chance.
I don't actually stick to some personal TBR schedule. I pick my books very sporadically. But I do know I'll be reading the next book in the "Witch of Grich" series by Marija Jurić Zagorka called "Malleus Maleficarium".
I might just participate in the Croatian SF Readathon that Morina Kutija introduced earlier today. There's only 3 prompts, so it's very time friendly, and I've been meaning to read some more speculative fiction by Croatian authors anyways.
Speaking or Morina Kutija, I am definitely going to be reading through the new issue during this month as well! Unfortunately, since it is a Croatian speculative fiction magazine, most of the stories are on Croatian, but I might just share the ones available on English (they are all free to read on their site 😊).

What's on your TBR this month?
