POKESHIPPING WEEK 2024!

It's that time again, pokeshippers!

Last year, we announced that the format of Pokeshipping Week - one theme per day - was getting retired. We also said that we'd still put on a celebration of some kind going forward. Well, the time is here, and I'm happy to announce that we are planning a pokeshipping zine...next year!

If you'll forgive the bait-and-switch there, we have seriously talked about doing a zine, but time got away from us this summer. So, while we do hope to tackle that undertaking in 2025, for this year, we're planning what you might call an open Pokeshipping Week!

How does it work, you ask? Simple: over the years, you all have submitted a lot of potential themes for Pokeshipping Week. For every seven that got chosen each year, plenty were left behind. Well, now you can fill November 1 to 7 with art, fics, AMVs, GIFs, graphics, etc., all about our favorite Poke-couple, using any seven you'd like from the unused themes list.

Any and all contributions are welcome, and if they're tagged #pokeshipping week 2024, we'll reblog them here and on the main @pokeshipping blog. Besides Tumblr, we’ll keep our eyes out for the tag on Twitter and DeviantART for artwork, for fanfics on FF.Net and AO3, and for AMVs on YouTube (no NSFW, please).

-News about the characters!!!

My characters now have the “dead/alive” thing, and why is that? Well, this is basically a “spoiler” in the story of some of them and it is what will make them more important.

Also- my characters now have birthdays! (almost) All of them were based on some dates of creation, appearance here on the blog and special dates. Therefore...

Mel Creator: Your birthday is the same as the date I joined Tumblr.

Mel-Loly: She's don't have a “special date” (sadly I couldn’t find its creation date)

Marcos: It is also not inspired by an exact date.

Primrose: It's inspired by the date it first appeared on my (gaming) blog.

Axel: It was also inspired by the first time I introduced him on the blog (right at the beginning of the blog).

Franz: Inspired by the first drawing in which she appeared and which I posted here on the blog.

SproutOliver: One day after he appeared here and was called a new character.

Pinkobot: First time it appeared on my gaming blog.

Charlie: Second time it appeared on the blog, being the old “y/n”.

Sharon: First time it appeared on my gaming blog.

Zina: There is no special date.

Abibas: It doesn't have, literally because they do not have a “age”.

Calopsita: First time it was presented on the blog as a character.

Sabryna: Date of creation (of the drawing for the design) of her.

Windy: One day before “World Autism Awareness Day”.

David: When I posted my first “One-Shot”.

And.. One thing that would come!!

I will post the powers and their descriptions of my characters, basically explaining how they work, the effects they cause and so on. I don't have a set date yet for when I will start posting them but.. You will see when I post👍

Hi, darlings! Important News Ahead

Hello, darlings! How are you all doing? I sincerely hope everything’s okay with you guys! 🫶

So, I’m writing this to let you all know about my current status when it comes to this blog. I am tremendously grateful to all the people who have supported me and loved my work and, do not panic! I am not leaving Tumblr! 

I’ll just be taking a break from here for some time. Three months to be exact. 

I recently discovered there are some health issues I need to take care of and I’m starting a treatment of three months that will hopefully make me better. 

However, the treatment is currently stopping me from keeping up with this page and finishing my writing project as of now. My free time is now spent on hospital visits and doctor’s appointments as well as tests and sleeping frankly. I’m doing my best to balance this treatment with my college life but it is getting tiring and I need a break. 

As I said, I’ll do my best to finish THIS fic I promised for my Golden Darlings on Ko-Fi as soon as possible and if I am unable to do it, I’ll let you know through Ko-fi as well! I will give you all the behind-the-scenes material I have on that fic so as to not leave you hanging, loves and thank you all for your support. 

The Coffee Shop on Ko-fi will be closed for the next three months, this means I won’t be able to publish new fics yet you are free to support me through the membership if you desire so.

I need to do this because I have to take some stress off of my life and even though this page is my escape from the world, I do get stressed a bit when it comes to certains stories or plots I'm stuck in. I also need to relax a bit when it comes to the deadlines on the Coffee Shop but after I get better, everything will go back to normal!

Again, thank you all for your constant love and support I’ve received since I made this account nearly a year ago. I hope my stories have given you new experiences and have been to your liking, loves. I promise to return stronger and with way more ideas to share with you!

I’ll still be active here and there, reblogging stuff and reading but I need to get better before I start writing again. As I said before, I do not like giving shitty content to my lovely darlings. 

Once more, thank you for everything and I’ll keep you updated on my progress! I'll also try to get out some stories that have been collecting dust on my drafts but I can't promise anything yet, loves.

Hello, Tumblr, and I hope you had a merry holiday (or simply enjoyed the weekend off)! I am so excited to finally share some absolutely amazing news: There's an audio book of His Secret Illuminations, and it is available for purchase now!!!

I am so pumped about this you wouldn't even believe it. I started trying to produce this audio book in June of this year. June. You might note that it is now December. This is a project six months in the making. I went through multiple rounds of auditions and thought I'd found a narrator twice and both times they had to back out of recording. I exhausted everyone who sounded right at one service and went to fellow self-published fantasy author Virginia McClain for advice, and she pointed me to Antoine Bandele of AB Book Services and his roster of narrators, where I found Martin Martinez. Martin auditioned for me with a perfectly sweet Lucían and a wonderfully strong Glory. His reading was deft and playful and exactly what I'd been hoping for, and the sex scenes? Well, to quote the illustrious burlesque icon Miss Kitty Baby: "There won't be a dry seat in the house."

Please give it a listen if you're an audio book person, or tell your friends to give it a listen if you aren't. Martin really gave a beautiful performance, and I think everyone should hear the heart and soul he gave these characters. 

(People other than me definitely need to hear it. I have listened to the entire thing three times as I reviewed it, which is too many times for an author to have to be presented with their writing from three years ago in a medium where they cannot elide certain word choices they would not have made now. It's a great audio book! It really is! I never want to listen to it again!)

It's a little more troublesome (I had to break it into five parts in order to get around the file size limit) but everything I sell on my website is DRM-free and I get the entire $24.99 cover price (minus credit card fees). Purchasing it through another platform means I only get the royalties, which end up between 20% and 50% of the cover price.

When will His Sacred Incantations be available as an audio book?

The unfortunately mercenary answer here is "As soon as I can afford to produce it." As a self-published author I am on the financial hook for anything and everything I want to do with my books. Part of the reason it took this long to get the first book produced was because I needed to save up enough to pay for the production of it. His Secret Illuminations cost about $3600, which I paid out of pocket. I expect that His Sacred Incantations will cost about the same. I hope to be able to produce it in 2023--the better my sales are, the sooner I can get started!

P.S. If I manage to sell 144 copies of this audio book through my website, that will cover almost the entire cost of producing the second book.

The documentary "One To One: John Lennon & Yoko Ono" was presented during the Venice Film Festival on 29, 30 and 31 of August and well received by the critics. Streaming and physical releases (DVD/BluRay) will likely be 2025.
