Who Would've Thought?

Today's star of the show is the interviewee's parents. Annie, the mother, was a bit hesitant with the idea at first.

"Anong sabihin ko sa interview?" worried, as she is not used to these kind of stuff.

The interviewee assures them it would be easy and to treat it as something casual, since they were dining together as a family in a cafe as a family.

The interviewee's parents are both introverts, just like her. Annie is a bright and socially adept woman. JB is a fairly quiet man who prefers action over words, but when he's working he knows how to deal with customers.

"Happy and satisfied ako." - Annie

"Blessed. I feel blessed." - JB

As they were asked about how they felt being in middle adulthood. I flattered them and told them they look young for their age. I even boasted how I got the 'good genes' since I don't need to worry about having gray hairs and wrinkles. They both laughed. They said they have accepted growing old and are making the most of each second they can. JB says that he simply doesn't think of what would happen in the future, focusing on the present. They are grateful to have their own house, enjoy outings, buy whatever they want, and live a simple life.

They noticed their physical changes; Annie gets tired easily now and JB is starting to notice his hair having a 'salt-and-pepper' style. JB says he keeps working out and playing Wordscape to keep his mind and body in good condition.

"Pero umiinom ka parin ng coke!" Annie chimes in.

Annie says she has been watching her diet, she knows at her age she needs to watch what she eats. Even giving me some mini advices about food.

When it comes to their way of thinking, they both shared the same answer: maturing. All their experiences have led them to this point. Sure they have made mistakes but it's still a part of them. Now they look into things from various point of views. Even telling me that once I grow up, I would 'understand how they feel' at certain situations.

Annie and JB met at Manila. She was a working student from Davao, while he, born and raised in Quezon, was working at a casino.

"Pwede ba sabihin? *laughs*" she asks. I told her it's okay, their love story would even make the post even more interesting.

They were both introduced to each other by a common friend. Their friend told JB to set Annie up on a date with one of his coworkers. He agreed. And the funny thing is, the following week, guess who showed to be her date?...... HIM.

I joked "Ngeeeee.... Hindi mo gi tupad yung agreement!!!"

"Kaya nga, yun pala siya yung gusto ng date!" Annie exclaims.

Jb laughs and says "Wala kasing matino sa kanila."

Annie says that she didn't expect him to show up as he didn't show an interest towards her at their first meeting. He was not even her type at all. After their first date, they clicked and even went on several more dates.

*Dear reader, if you didn't know. JB, the interviewee's father, would always bring up their dates. "Kami ng mommy mo..." "Nung nag date kami ng mommy mo sa Manila..." "Dami naming napuntahan na bars ng mommy mo..."

JB was not even interested in dating anyone at that time but somehow she was the one he kept asking out. They didn't expect things to get this far. From meeting the parents, to getting married.

They told about the time when things were going smoothly. Their careers were great. They had just built their dream home in Davao. However, they had a hard time having a child. No matter what they do, it was hard to conceive. Annie said she felt sad, thankfully JB was very supportive. After five years of trying, they had me.

"Kaya alam mo na bakit grabe kami ka strict sayo ni mommy."

I knew it as well. Younger me would get upset at how strict they were on me. But it was tough love, they cherished me in their own way. But we will not dwell on the other things for this interview.

Annie gave up on her career as a dentist, since she didn't want to be away from me. She wanted to be hands-on.

"Huwag mo akong gayahin. Pinabayaan ko work ko."

It was a sacrifice she chose to make.

My teenage years were the hardest for them. I was going through puberty and my 'worst time'. I admit some hurtful words were said on both of our sides. But it's alright. No family is perfect.

"Happy parin kami lumaki ka ng maayos." Annie says.

They both said the only thing they expect from me is growing up well. They don't know what would happen in the future, once they're both gone they both hope I could fare on my own.

*The interview took a short break as the interviewee and their mom got a little teary-eyed lol.

When asked about their thoughts on people their age, they said that they're sure those individuals have also became wiser. JB says some of his classmates are now parents, with children who are also grown up. He says as adults, they make their own decisions. It's up to them to either live a good life or waste their years in nothing. Noting that some classmates had drinking or gambling addictions. He warns me to not be like them.

Annie says she is still friends with her college classmates. She still sees their updates on Facebook. Unlike JB's classmates, most of them are living the good life. However, she says not to trust anything posted in social media as we do not see what happens behind-closed-doors.

When asked about regrets, they both answered none. Like mentioned earlier, they were satisfied.

They hoped I, the interviewee, to live an even better life than them. To graduate, get a nice job, and have a family of my own. They reassured me that they will support me every step of the way.

"Hindi ko inexpect maging nanay ako... magiging kami ng dad mo.... or anything nangyare sa life ko" Annie says, "Pero ganyan ang life, eh. Alam ko baka ikaw rin. Kaya huwag ka magsabi ng anything for sure kay baka kainin mo mga sinabi mo."

That was what she always told me. I am very grateful for the both of them for sticking with me in my worst times. I may not be the best daughter in the world, they may not be the best parents... yet we make the best team together. We are in this life together. They have nothing further to add, so our interview ends.

Moved stop to BE Trying to catch the reversal. Price has been retracing from going down for several days. I am trying to learn how to enter this kind of set-up The one thing I can say is... NGEEEEE HAHAHA

Lesson for this trade.. Do not hold a trade overnight. Just take what you can take for the day. No wonder, most of the profitable doesn't hold a position over night because the markets can be so unpredictable. What are my realizations for this trade?

When the market took out the sell side liquidity from the short-term low, the price immediately bounced back. It didn't even went to the FVG that I marked on the 4 h chart. - You can never predict the next move of the market. Good thing, I decided to move my stop to around BE or $3+ before leaving it open overnight.
