Came back from lunch today to find the tower flooded with an entire troupe of Mimes. Apparently they got lost on their way to a convention center and ended up here. It took nearly 3 hours to get them all out of the building; mainly because one of them got stuck behind an invisible wall in the elevator. I love it here I love it here I love

I also love puzzles so here's what I have on my phone:)

There's a crossword app by redstone games that has a Lot of free puzzles and doesn't have a ton of ads.

One of my personal favorites is Meow Tower which is a little picross game and as you solve the puzzles you decorate rooms for cats in the tower:D the art style is really cute too. My gripe with it is a lot of the easy puzzles are too easy and you can run out of pencils and you need to wait for them to refill before you can play another puzzle. It's still good for a quick game to play.

Card Thief is so so good, as are the other games by that developer. You basically are breaking into a building, stealing the treasure, and sneaking back out, all through a deck of cards, it's a little confusing at first but it's such a cool concept and it's executed very well.

Cube Escape Collection is a bunch of escape room games in one app, quite fun, some of the puzzles are kind of weird so no shame in using a guide but fun to solve

I Love Hue you sort a big jumble of tiles into a color gradient which is very soothing to me, you definitely need good color vision though

Also Bloon Tower Defence 6, not a puzzle but a very fun tower defense game with monkeys attacking balloons, it's simple to pick up and difficult to master, it's vibrant and fun and the different towers are like a monkey with a trebuchet and a monkey who's a druid and stuff, no orangutans tho. You can download it off the Netflix app for free

I also like the games from Runaway studios, they have Flutter, Birdlife and some others, basically creature collectors, I really like it because the moths, birds, fish, etc are based off of real species. It can be a little "you must log in to collect your beads or you'll feel like you're missing out" though so be careful with that.

Also a long time fan of Nimblebit's stuff, Pocket frogs, Tiny Tower, etc. Like pocket frogs was the first app we ever downloaded on my dad's ipod touch in like 2010.

So that's my big list of recs, I hope you find some you like:D

Just because I stopped posting pocket trains, doesn't mean you have to ruin the pixel art.

The art in-game is the same, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME ART AS ALL OTHER GAMES.*

I get that pixel art is old and outdated, and they want to appeal to younger audience like me. But that feature also makes the game unique and fun.

(Edit from Marcus years later: Pixel art isn't "outdated" or "old" per say, I think I just meant that pixel art has fallen out of favour with big game companies, especially due to the saturation of games these days.

Whoever keeps skydiving above the Tower just to parachute past the windows, please stop. It's becoming enough of a spectacle that I'm having to deal with people coming in every 15 minutes asking about you. I don't know what you're gaining by doing this, but it's definitely not helping my mental health.
