So the treason headcanon I referenced in this post is pretty convoluted and has absolutely nothing to back it up in canon, however it doesn't have anything that contradicts it either (I think) so I don't care.

When the First Spinjitzu Master left the First Realm as a child, he made the decision to make a, uh, pit stop of sorts before leaving entirely the realm entirely. This pit stop was the High Fortress of Destruction, which acts as a gathering point between the three Oni Warlords.

At the time it was hosting all three Warlords and their courts. The FSM was an extremely petty child and wanted to make a point against the war when they left. So they decided to steal the Oni's most powerful weapons; the Warlord's masks.

They succeeded.

On the way out of the Fortress they ran into Mystake (or Ha'eed at the time) who was so stunned by the sheer audacity of the child that they accidently left them with enough time to get a headstart on them. Mystake raised the alarm and chased after the FSM. She then proceeded to lose them in the hallways of the Fortress and they somehow escaped unharmed.

This was one of the reasons why the Oni were so persistant in getting the First Spinjitzu Master back or killing them. They were outraged at the whole situation.

To this day the FSM still thinks it's hilarious that Mystake got outsmarted by a literal child. Mystake doesn't like bringing it up because it's embarrasing.

Like I said, I’m redesigning Mystake for VT bc of the Lore I redid for the Oni, and with that comes designing the other two Oni Warlords. There all young in this wip, I’m doing another where they’re grown and a bit more battle-worn for a post about the First Realm and the Oni-Dragon War.

I really wish I could actually use the other two Warlords in the main story now.

Love that you’re the Oni lore guy now, that’s so awesome. I relate tbh, I could go on for hours about my own Oni lore.

With that in mind. Can I ask? Do you think the Oni warlord fell apart somehow? How do you think the masks ended up where they did?

As for your epic questions, I think the show more or less explains it, Mystake fell in love with Ninjago, and betrayed her fellow oni to start a new life in Ninjago.

However, I'm gonna go a bit further and say, I think Mystake didn't JUST betray them because she liked Ninjago more than her own home, but rather, she fell for Ninjago and saw the gorgeous, loving nature of it all, the way the animals and the people of this strange land lived and loved, and realized her own people would never accept a lifestyle of peace and kindness that existed in Ninjago. She tried reasoning with her siblings, but her brother Venge was quite bent on getting the FSM, dead or alive, and he wouldn't let up, and Ha'eed was just as adamant as Venge.

It was chaos, Decer watching as the lands around her were scorched and destroyed, seeing her siblings wreak havoc and devastation upon yet another land, feeding off of the life that bustled so heavily in the people and animals and the plants, and seeing how ruthless they were, she betrayed her kin, and she killed them, and that was the end for them.

As for the masks, I think Mystake and the FSM came together to hide them, Mystake leaving one in the Oni Temple (which was originally constructed as the Warlords' base of operations), and handing the other two to the FSM, who in turn handed one to a trusted friend of his (who soon after fathered the first emperor of the land), and tossed the other into an ancient mountain, under the assumption it'd never be found,

Also, the purple on Mystake's (or in this case Ha'eed's) body is scars formed from her stone form. I love giving her a snout btw sm fun
