Pine Brook Motor Lodge, 1949 & 2021
This motel has been closed since 2016 and is in the process of being demolished. It was gutted when I visited in December 2019 but somehow still stands. Located in Pine Brook, New Jersey. More photos here

Goodbye
Hi, this is op here. Not really sure how to start this post. But here's a backstory:
I started this blog in 2012 when I was a senior in high school with no job, no money, no car, nothing. Just kept on saying to myself that one day ill go to these places and take pictures and give a little backstory on these places. Now I have take have taken some pictures of my own but some of these were just in walking distance. So these past 7 years have been a struggle but this past year things have been getting better but slowly.
In 2015, I still hadnt made any big improvements in my life but hating every minute of it. Because I wasn't doing what I wanted to do yet. I was making very little at a job I didn't want. It wasn't enough for what I wanted to do. Like 40 dollars every two weeks. And just unhappy because 40 isn't nothing.
Fast forward to 2018. After working three dead end jobs and my dreams not getting anywhere. plus dealing with anxiety and depression. I decided to make strides in my physical and mental improvement. I quit my job and used my loan money to buy a camera but it was a point-n-shoot and didn't give me the quality images that I wanted.
Fast forward a couple of months later, I was working at a resturant and made enough money in a few months to put a down payment on a car and started traveling to places around my state. However I have some insecurities about the camera I was using because it wasn't mirrorless or a dslr. After I was done with those payments I eventually had to leave the resturant environment.
After that I was working another retail job which is the longest job I've ever held down since graduating high school. In still currently working there and the money is okay. In March, I've come into a little bit more money. A school loan of $4500 and then my income tax of $360. So just recently I bought a dslr camera for 400 dollars.
Tumblr was fun in my mid-late teens and early 20s. However for the past two years I haven't been as frequent on any of my Tumblr blogs. This blog started as a photography/ urbex blog but I haven't been frequent on it since 2016. People are still reblog my posts even some of my original photos are still getting notes. Which is wild because when I took those photos I was still using my galaxy note 5 and my LG optimus. Also they are pretty bad if I can admit that. (Note to any future photographers, just because the photo is clear, doesn't make it a good photograph.)
Also, I'm approaching 25 I want to see myself grow as a photographer I want to start making money doing what I love and not hold back any longer with these dead end jobs. I know I can be much more than what I am. I'm finally graduating from university this fall I want to try and buy a old rv to start roadtripping by 2020. I want to start living life.
Which brings me to my final paragraph, I will no longer be using this blog. I won't deactivate it until January of 2020 but y'all can still view it and reblog from time to time. I will still go on these wanderlust urbex trips but I will be moving to bluehost to start my blog which will probably start mid July. It will mainly be about my off road adventures, urban explorations, and tips on how to find these places without getting caught. I will link it once I get the blog up and running.
Until then, thank you and I hope you enjoyed abandon places.
