#no joke will ever land as hard as the bad editing of atsushi and akutagawa staring at each other dramatically as a pipe explodes on them#got to it with my besties yesterday and i was losing my shit on the couch with them#my wife did say she missed anime battles where the characters narrate everything they do#so i told her that it's literally just those two. bc it is. esp in this battle. it's so shonen coded fr#they give me so much second hand embarrassment i love them#fr tho i do say i think the quality of the anime does pick up more or less right after this. or at least in s2 for sure#I'm glad i got them to power through the hard part 👍
