AHHH VINDICATION!!!!
#no shade but to the beta reader who said ch5 was confusing & boring#editor just got back to me & said it was great lol#beta said they thought the point of the story was Gawain/Ragnelle romance not mythological stories within the story#like babe it can be both wtf#characters sharing their unique cultures with each other as they fall in love is something that can be so special#imagine thinking every scene can only have one purpose#I literally pay this editor to tell me like it is#I know they’re honest bc they initially red marked my whole prologue#so I rewrote it almost totally & now it fucks#so like I we have an understanding that they can be honest about feedback & I’m not gonna take it personally & I’m capable of fixing it#like rewriting entire portions of the manuscript where necessary within a few days turn around to be edited#so idk vet your beta readers better than I did bc yeesh what a waste of time it can be with the wrong readers!#I love being right
