雅楽です。

8月に行った藝大コレクション展で興味を持ったの。

管弦は、世界最古のオーケストラとも呼ばれてるんだって。

正倉院に残され���いた古楽器を復元した楽器の演奏は、華やかで奥行きがあってすごく良かったです。中国から伝わったものでも中国には残ってなくて、正倉院にしかないものもあるんだって。

途中、楽器の紹介もあって、より楽しめました♪

琵琶のネックが曲がってるのが興味深い。

着物は麻の葉模様に、朱色の帯。着物と帯に使われている黄緑色に合わせて、黄緑の絞りの帯揚げと白に黄緑が入った帯締め。

麻の葉は伝統的な模様だから雅楽の演奏会にいいかなぁと思ったのと、陰陽・五行思想で秋の色は白だからちょうどいいかなぁと思ったの。

半衿が合うのがなくて、いつも使ってるのにしちゃった(^_^;)

帰り際に、着物素敵ねって声をかけられて嬉しかったです(*^^*)

Long time no post. Still struggling trying to make anything, but at least I'm doing something right now :) A while ago we got to see a blip of a Noh Theater production of The Yamamba, or The Mountain Witch. No pictures were allowed during the show, but I've been kicking around an idea ever since. Also I've been trying to use my new Huion tablet that dear husband bought me as a late birthday gift. It's definitely different sketching larger vs my old wacom (which I haven't used since doing comics). I can already see the usefulness in regard to my process, so here's hoping I can figure out a decent composition. The last day of #7daysketchbookchallenge Theme: Masks 👺🎭 • I decided to draw some traditional Japanese Noh theatre masks. (The bottom left is more in the style of Kabuki face painting which came much later than Noh theatre) • This brings back memories of a wonderful night on the island of Sadogashima with @tomjohnsonart when the owner of the sushi restaurant we ate at that night got out his collection of Noh masks, swords and tea sets to show us. Ko-omote Noh stage mask from the second part of the 18th century. Ko-omote (literally, "little mask") conveys the beauty of a girl not yet twenty. The mark on the back of the mask is unusual and most likely was not applied by the artist but rather an owner probably added it after acquiring it.
