1 - my fave fanfic of all time? hmmm.

this is such a big biiiig question. i have a lot of talented moots, and i have quite a few of their fics that i think about all the time. like @neptuneblue ‘cupid’s quiver’ and @twentyfivemiceinatrenchcoat ‘sometimes i long to eat you up’. any of @dollsuguru snippets i greedily scoff too lol. @pinknipszz heian era sukuna drabbles are little gemstones, the vibes are immaculate. ooo i also think of @bungalowbear ‘wolves of tokyo’ too, again because, VIBES!!

however my top one that takes up a lot of my thoughts is the series ‘the odyssey’ by @lovenona . i really take my hat off to this author and the series for getting me back into writing. the story is so brilliantly crafted, and the writing is absolutely astonishing and dreamy. adele took my brain to another world and needs to win a fanfic award ASAPPPP!

You jolted awake, chest heaving, your sheets tangled around your legs like they'd tried to hold you down. The room was dark except for the soft golden glow from the nightlight Chan insisted on leaving on — "just in case you need me," he'd said. Right now, you did.

Before you could even sit up, you felt it: the bed dipping, strong arms pulling you close, a hand smoothing gently up and down your back.

"Shh, baby... it's okay, I'm here," Chan whispered, voice rough from sleep but full of warmth. He didn't rush you to explain or calm down faster. He just held you, firm and steady, letting you cling to him as tightly as you needed.

You pressed your face into his chest, trying to catch your breath, heart hammering against your ribs. Chan kissed the top of your head, slow and tender.

"It's just a dream, angel. Nothing can hurt you now. You're safe with me," he murmured, rocking you slightly. One hand cradled the back of your head, the other rubbing slow circles over your spine.

When your breathing finally started to slow, he pulled back just enough to see your face, his thumb brushing away the tears you hadn't realized had fallen.

"You wanna talk about it?" he asked softly. You shook your head, and he nodded like he'd already expected it.

"That's okay. You don't have to," he said, tucking you back against him like you were the most precious thing in the world. "We'll just stay like this."

He kept whispering soft, sleepy reassurances — little things like "I'm not going anywhere" and "you're safe, my love" — until you felt yourself drifting again, this time wrapped up in his arms instead of fear. Chan stayed awake long after your breathing evened out, keeping watch, just in case the nightmares tried to come back.

He'd fight them off himself if he could — for you, he would do anything.
