My 2019 resolution: less plastic!

Whereas people have lists of resolutions for a new year, for 2019 I decided on the only one. The one I was the most determined about: to eliminate as much plastic products from my life as possible. The reason for that is that I was helplessly reading articles and news about ocean pollution all previous year long with nothing but sadness and feeling that I cannot change much. You bet! So much plastic around! 

More of a resolution it is a challenge for me first of all. From the very first days of January, I realized how hard it is to get rid of polyethylenes, polypropylenes, polyvinyls and of those poly-s. My helplessness transformed into frustration: where do I start from? Most importantly how will I remember to minimize my plastic consumption on a daily basis if in many cases I don’t even realize that the things I buy is plastic or my head is simply full of many other things which are “more important”.

Well, starting this blog I hope to record and track my success, insights or failures in this endeavor. I wish my progress towards the end of 2019 will be significant to be proud and say “I made it”! I hope my example can be useful for others, for all those who understand that the great social change starts with small tweaks in each person’s life

No trying to impress anyone, not trying to get an army of followers:) Just trying to live life with less plastic
