16. Lightning Field by Sneaker Pimps -- i vibe with this song so much. this is the only song i listen to by this band and in this genre at all, but i love it.

30. In the 99 by Vienna Teng -- one of the only political songs i listen to regularly, this song is about the occupy wall street movement. it’s upbeat without being loud. highly recommend it.

43. Steady and Stronger by Shelby Merry -- this song is very empowering to me, both lyrically and musically. i’ve been listening to it lately before i have to do something difficult or stressful.

88. Raise Hell by Brandi Carlile -- this song makes me want to cause chaos, 10/10

🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

Although she’s never been the most devout follower of the Six, there’s a small part of the garden in her family’s estate that’s dedicated to them. It’s a peaceful place, rarely visited by anyone else (most people simply go to the local temple/priests.) It makes it easier for her to be alone when she needs time alone with her thoughts and a book.

🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others? 

She’s comfortable with touch from people close to her. Her and her friend group (of people who I haven’t introduced yet) are very casual with touches when they’re alone together. Sitting half on each other and stuff like that. She also grew up in a very supportive, loving house so affection with her parents was normal. She is, however, very firm in her personal space with strangers. Things like handshakes and the like fine when they’re needed but don’t push your luck.

🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

Xiaoli finds people being excited about their interests really charming. If someone’s talking about their special interest she’s 100% the person resting her chin in her hand and smiling as she listens. She also loves it when people laugh unrestrained. There’s nothing quite as cute as someone laughing so hard their eyes close and they double over with laughter. It’s why she tries to be calculated with her jokes. If she can be smart and catch someone offguard with a joke, it’s bound to make them happy.

7. divine’s lament bonus song by borislav slavov – dos2 soundtrack. very good, very sad. started listening to it before i even knew much about dos2 but,, yea. yea. emóshions…. i am still listening to it like all the time so i’m not surprised it’s so high up on the list

9. arsonist's lullabye by hozier – the only song by hozier i still have to listen to on repeat. this year was no exception, even if it isn't as high as in the past. like i said, i don't listen to hozier much anymore but that song is a constant.

22. roses are falling by orville peck – oh another by orville peck! this one is...... so good. so sweet. very soft and nice. i highly recommend giving it a listen.

99. icarus by bastille – oh definitely one of my faves from all this bad blood. still a really good song, even if i haven't heard it in a while.

arylene is my oblivion oc !! and she was basically just a way for me to completely disregard elder scrolls lore purely out of spite bc i know.....very little abt the worldbuilding of that series and i plan on keeping it that way htrghgtrhutgr

but she’s a summoner/alchemist bosmer and i hc she used to run with a daedra worshipping cult (POSSIBLY sheogorath, who she eventually becomes in the dlc lmao idk) and she ended up Seeing Things which drove her slightly mad but left her with this creepy, vague knowlegde of lots of useless things and some /very/ useful things 

anyway she’s basically the Local Village Witch trope, very aloof and eccentric and only every interacts with people when she’s selling potions or stealing from people but she’s pretty self serving for the most part, she’ll only really help people if she knows there’s something in it for her, or she can foresee it having benefits in the future u know? 

so yeah 4th-wall breaking cryptid village witch who communicates with the universe, offers seemingly awful psychic advice that actually ends up being somewhat helpful, and acknowledges and then blatantly disregards the lore of her universe just because. i love her so much. also she has a pet mouse !!!

Not particularly! If he’s showing off, it’s likely a joke, like he’s mocking himself in some way. Trying to purposefully make a fool of himself to make his friends laugh and the like. Though, he is the type to brag about how his s.o. chose him out of literally anyone else if that counts

59. What is their favourite song?

Contrary to what one may think of him, modern Elias likes to listen to classical music. He gets overwhelmed by loud noises (especially after all the fighting he did back in Kirkwall) so in the like canon time period idk. Anyway his favorite instrument is the harp

60. What would be their dream vehicle?

A bike but one of those dorky ones with two seats

Elias would love Jane Austen lmfao. I think it’s because I do. He has a fondness for Pride and Prejudice

62. Who, in their opinion, makes the best food?

He loves his friends but he would literally never eat something they made unless he monitored them while they cooked. So him. Also probably Fenris but he is biased

63. Are they approachable?

Oh, absolutely!!!! And he’s so accepting, too! He’s very honest and wears his heart on his sleeve, but that’s why he’s so easy to hurt :( Betrayal riles him up, too…

64. Did they ever change their appearance?

Not willingly. Not intentionally. He gave himself a scar on his right eye when he was very young due to a magical mishap, and as a result his eyesight isn’t as good on the right as it is the left. His right eye is a lighter brown, too.

65. What makes them smile?

His friends. These are people who, when it came down to it, put aside everything to help him in Kirkwall. The people who love him and trust him more than anything. Knowing his little brother loves him more than the brat cared to admit. And then there’s Fenris. That needn’t even be elaborated upon.

44. Do they know more than one language?

Common Trade(obviously) , Elven, What little Dwarven there is left, Orlesian (better at reading than speaking), and studying Tevene.

He’s really exercising Orlesian a lot more though, since he moved to Orlais after Trespasser. People say it’s obvious he’s a Marcher from how he pronounces certain things.

53. What is something that they want but can’t have?

He just wants his sister back more than anything. But that’s obviously never gonna happen.

65. What makes them smile?

Anything, really. Could be a patch of flowers, a bad pun, a sunrise, organizing his books, something cooking over a fire etc. It took him a while to allow himself to smile so much at the small things. He just got so tired of being told not to or that he looked a lot meaner than he was.

80. Do they like other people’s children?

He doesn’t mind them much, but is kinda awkward when around them. Not in a “I hate kids” kinda way, though. He just doesn’t know how to interact with them well. He tries, but tends to do and say things that go way over their heads a lot.

Despite all of that, he always treats them with kindness.
