Nesting in a conifer, or feasting on black sunflower seeds, the Greenfinch is a regular garden visitor, able to take advantage of food in rural and urban gardens. US Navy Loening OL-8 ambulance plane arriving at Norfolk Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia.

"The airplane was carrying Mrs. V. J. Williams, a civilian, suffering with appendicitis, from Cape Hatteras, North Carolina to a Norfolk hospital for medical treatment. The Navy sent the plane to the Outer Banks to transport her to Norfolk."
