If you remember my post asking peeps for cute unbreakable bond examples, I wanted to say it's so nice to know I'm not the only one who loves the Sonic 4 Ep. 2 animations. My sis and I played that game so much just because of how cute the brothers are in it, even tho we never touched the first episode 😂 plus it was pretty fun, but I'm a little biased.

Anyway I definitely wasn't looking at reblogs because I started that project I teased in the post 😈 thanks for the material!

I totally remember that post! I actually think about it quite a bit ^^;; Very curious and excited about the project you're planning, I love your art so much! They're such little guys, but so expressive! <3

And yessss, you understand the beauty of Sonic 4 Ep. 2!! It needs so much more love and appreciation! And I'm in the same boat, I never played Ep. 1 either (though I love a good Splash Hill Zone meme, lol), but Ep. 2 has so much charm and really interesting level designs, even beyond Sonic and Tails's adorable animations! That's so cool you played it with your sis, I'm still on the hunt for someone to co-op with me someday xD But those really sound like some awesome memories you guys made together <3

And now that you've said that, I will 100% be keeping an eye out for that project 👀 I'm sure you're going to make us all explode with feelings of cuteness and love for the unbreakable bond ever <3

Oh, this idea is absolutely adorable. 🩷💛 I love seeing more Tails and Amy interactions, and the Tails Adventure reference is great.

Hammer Time (Hand-Me-Down)

Tails is a very good gift-giver, I think.

Tails Adventure is the first time a character is seen wielding a hammer in the series, since Amy doesn't have one in Sonic CD. The Pikkon Hammer, to be exact :)

I like to think this serves as a good bonding moment for these two early on. I picture Tails being really shy with Amy for the first few months after they meet, probably letting Sonic do all the talking with her. But he's an observant kid. He notices how capable Amy is in combat when she has a blunt force weapon at hand. So he's nervous, but more than happy to give her his old hammer. It's sturdy.

The next Tails I've done is Classic Tails. He and the movie Tails are easily the two cutest. I don't know which I would consider the cutest, but he is hella cute too. Like I mentioned in a previous post, Movie Tails was a practice run, so for the rest I'm going to do the line art for every one and then color and shade them all at once.

Anyways, I feel like I should mention this pose was inspired by artwork done by @nortedwayfinder I found when looking up Tails sitting on Google. It was just exactly what I was looking for. I would leave a link to it if it's here, but the image I found was a repost from Reddit, so...

So about your art trademark!!

I don't know how to say it properly, but to me, they don't feel like 2D drawings. Your characters LIVE in the space you draw them in.

The principle of animation called solid drawing, where the animator is able to draw any and every angle of the character, is something I'm reminded of looking at your work. They always feel like they're really in the space, and that I can just reach through the screen and squish 'em.

It's something I really admire :) looking at your stuff literally never ceases to give me dopamine, and I can tell it's your art immediately every time.

I read this one while I was at work, and I actually had to put my phone down so I could walk in 30 circles to expel the sheer amount of joy that slammed into my bones at Mach 10 😭 This means so so SO much to me, especially coming from you! I've always wanted to animate but I've never known where to start. It goes against the workflow I'm used to in a way- I draw FAST. Stupidly fast. I don't think people realize that 90% of my posts are done in 15 minutes or less 🤣

The sheer amount of frames, the precision, the clean lines- woUgH. It's stressful! But hearing that I'm already doing something right, even accidentally, is SO rewarding to my silly brain! :'))

Speaking of, now that I'm out of my goofy brain funk, I'd love to try setting up a group doodle session again! OOO, and @0vergrowngraveyard 👀👀👀 Wanna draw the funny guys too? :000 I feel like that'd be a fun mix, but no pressure!

My big-brained friend @nortedwayfinder and I like to imagine that food shortage is a prominent part of aosth. Sometimes the children are on the run for a while and can’t stop safely, or simply run out of money or friendly faces to rely on for charity, and that means they sometimes go days without eating.

Angsty, right? Haha (kinda) WRONG !!!

Because Sonic and Tails are masters of improv and being public nuisances alike. Tails gets nabbed?? He’s actually in the kitchen the whole time robotnik is busy monologuing, stuffing his face and stealing snacks to save for Sonic when he arrives.

Because if some dude is gonna burden you with the weight of growing up super fast and make an 11 year old and a toddler the sole guardians of the peace then you should be able to clean out his refrigerator. like fuck you and ur stupid shrink ray ivo im taking the thin mints

hi! Writings hard sometimes. Like really hard and it shouldn’t be. I don’t know why it happens and probably never will but the fog and the rain in my head leave me stuck in the mud sometimes.

@nortedwayfinder pulls me out and dries me off. And I’m still muddy and gross but she smiles and I’m so warm again. Artists have a natural inclination to lift people up by sharing their passions with us and I’m lucky to have found one that shares mine. Everything she makes is made with love and I hope she and all of you know it as well as I do.

So my partner @genesis-quoi 's birthday is coming up... And she happens to have written one of my favourite fanfics of all time.

SO I made an animatic for it! This takes place during chapter 2.
