apparently kissing sb of a certain gender makes you have that sexuality so now I'm unsure what the fuck I am. does that mean I have to identify as pan now bc that asshole kid kissed me when I was 11 even tho I just wanted to look at the tiny turtles in his fish tank? and bc one of my exes identified as nb at the time we were dating, and bc I kissed a girl a few times while we were dating?
does that also mean I can no longer identify as ace bc I had sex at least once?
some of y'all are so fucking stupid I stg

also to sum up earlier, I do still love Claude - I just don’t agree with the direction the writers took him in for Hopes because it feels too strongly like a 180 to the Claude I know in Houses. it doesn’t mean I think 100 percent of the writing itself is bad (it’s not, though some of it really is questionable). while I’d like to see a darker side of him, I don’t mean like... a whole lotta killing, or unnecessary killing to boot.
the problems he’s dealing with regarding Faerghus could’ve been solved very very easily though with a simple “hey can we meet up somewhere safe” letter to Dimitri so they could talk through it, seeing as Claude literally stampedes through Faerghus, weapons in hand, to reach Dimitri, to... ...talk??? I mean BRUH lmao WHAT.
like yeah I like to make my dmcl jokes about it because he acts obsessed with Dimitri sometimes but also bruh, just send a letter instead of charging through his country and killing his soldiers first. might have had a better result rather than Dimitri not wanting anything to do with you now that you’ve been murdering his people just to talk to him about the Church and your plans.
he says he doesn’t wanna take Faerghus down, but he still attacks instead of just... trying diplomacy. he admits he doesn’t know what’s going on in Dimitri’s head, so like... why... not just... make the attempt with a letter and see what happens??? my guy???
and also deciding to declare war on all of Fodlan despite NOT having talked to Dimitri yet (who was literally waiting for him to talk to him originally after the first attack on Faerghus. Claude had to turn back and leave bc of TWS but ffs Dimitri was still ready to talk to him even after ALL THAT) was a really dumb thing to do.
when it comes to the side of him that’s less trusting and more combative, I get that in the writing’s sense. I just don’t like what he’s doing, and he’s still guilty of aggression. no amount of “it’s for a better cause” is a good excuse to me, but less so when it’s just not part of who he is. I’ve seen the argument that Claude just came to the decision that he had to use the war and kill some people and yadda yadda, but it still doesn’t excuse anything regarding Faerghus. he could have come to that conclusion with Randolph’s army (as the Empire was the aggressor against Leicester to begin with), but there was no good reasoning whatsoever with Faerghus if Claude was still written with his core beliefs and values in mind. he could have sent a letter and asked to meet with Dimitri because if he never wanted to take any lives and only did it out of necessity, there was absolutely zero reason to attack Faerghus in the first place.
and I shit you not, it got to the point where in SB’s secret interlude chapter (the Arval chapter), Dimitri said he would stop running from Claude if Claude would just leave him be. CLAUDE THEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO BE LIKE YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO THIS SITUATION LIKE??? I’M HOWLIN MY DUDES IM HOWLIN i ain’t never wanted to punch this beautiful man’s beautiful face so much in my life

Fics I Wanted To Write This Year But Didn't, Part 2: Star Trek AU
For @spookyvoidangelskeleton for this ask
Now I suppose these would have been several fics, but in a series or a collection as they're all about the same main storyline: The collapsing of a (or several) universe(s).
If you've known me for a while, you know that I am very into Multiverse Theory, both real life and fictional, and Star Trek with the Mirror Universe is of course one of the first fandoms that comes to mind for me to write my batshit ideas in xD
Basically, in my personal little (fictional, bc I know and understand 0 about real life physics or whatever would be relevant for this) multiverse theory, there are an infinite number of universes, evenly spread around the multiverse, and a new universe comes into existence when a timeline/universe (same thing) can go into 2 seperate ways naturally, or when there is timetravel involved to manually change a timeline: The original timeline won't be affected, you can't change what's already there, but a new changed timeline will be created.
Now, in some cases that works out well, with the timetraveller ending up in the new timeline and never knowing that their original universe is still out there- in other ways of time travelling, not so much. If the person trying to make a change manages to do just that but never notices, because they or a version of them is stuck in the orginal timeline, what do they do?
Try again, with the same result, many many times.
And that's where it gets problematic, because the multiverse gets unbalanced, and whether you see it as a sentient entity connected to the Qs in Star Trek or just as something that Works That Way automatically: the multiverse doesn't want to be out of balance, so the new universes start to collapse in on each other, creating a Splitter-verse and leaving its inhabitants to a fate arguably worse than death (in this fictional world): they completely stop to exist. This doesn't just affect the new universes but the surroundings ones, which would have split earlier and are already more different from each other, too, to make sure the one that was the cause for it all falls, too.
Now (of course, because I can't help myself) this would be part of @thelucyverse , with there being Central people trained in spotting such time anomalies before it is too late, but with there also being time-bombs (yeah hahah) created in inter-universal wars to create smaller, controlled splitter-verses (I say small and controlled here but like. We're still talking about entire universes), and with Central having back-up plans to get people out of the 'verses, in order as follows: anyone visibly IDing as Central (the organisation is still largely volunteer-based, shit's got to have some perks), then everyone whose energy indicates recent travel in-between universes, as these are also most likely to a) be Central and b) be okay in a new 'verse, after that, if there is still time and anyone willing to go back into the falling universe, children as they are also more likely to adapt in a new world. If there is enough warning, they also get out whoever people Central members want to have saved, but usually it just turns into whoever stands close enough to grab and get the hell out of there.
Whether taking people out of a universe against their will is a good thing or nah is ...debatable and still being debated amongst those who do it and those who think that taking someone away from the possibility of dying death in their own universe is vile (as amongst most religions, it is thought that you can only reach the same afterlife as those who died in the same umiverse- but again most also think that there probably won't even Be an afterlife in a splitter-verse).
Sometimes, people are also pushed out of the universe by the explosion itself, but they then tend to die upon impact as they seldomly end up exactly at the coordinates where they left, which leaves them either suffocating in hard matter or in space.
If you want to use these ideas for your own fanfic feel free, just give me credit and link this post as inspired by/ link to my ao3 or @ my tumblr!
Anyhow! To Star Trek... and I suppose this is now SPOILERS not rly for any Star Trek canon but for these fanfics, if I do end up writing them!
I tend to forget which characters are canon and which are complete OCs because I spend Way more hours on tumblr and ao3 + thinking about my own headcanons than I spend consuming the original media, but I am fairly certain a canon Joana McCoy, daughter of Leonard 'Bones' McCoy exists? If no and I stole the idea from sb else's fanfic I am sincerely sorry. Gotta look that up.
In one universe close to what would be the centre of the splitterverse, Joana- as a young child nicknamed 'Jojo', but now as a young teen trying to get rid of the childish nickname- has a younger part-vulcan girl as a friend, and this girl, nicknamed Aka, has, through having sticky fingers and connections to Central, a device that allows you to jump between universes. She's used it before and gotten into a lot of trouble for it, but to her it had always been great fun- until reality is starting to collapse around them while she is visiting Joana, and Joana is the only person she can reach in time and take with her to the next universe.
Distraught, the children are left in a new world, debating what to do, waiting for Central to contact them, hoping that they saved their families- but of course, Central has quite some different problems right now and won't contact them any time soon, and even if they did it wouldn't be with news of their parents: the adult families of non-Central members who only happened to have jumped between universes before themselves are really not the top priority, and the universe is collapsing too quickly to even get down the prio list to 'children',
Aka wants to leave the universe again and look for Central elsewhere, hoping that her moving around will attract their attention. Joana has enough from universe jumps for a lifetime. Thus, they part ways.
While Aka at some point does run into a group of Central troubeshooters who more or less adopt her as one of their own and teach her how to work their equipment and use magic and weapons and starships (not what a child her age should be learning. But then, none of the adults there ever signed up to be a parent, so who's to blame them), Joana goes looking for her family in this world.
Now I could write entire novels about Akas adventures and how it may or may not be healthy to not have a home at all and decide to not rely on anybody instead of either finding new versions of her original parents or letting someone new into her life properly (spoileralert: it isn't healthy at all), and how meeting a girl from one of the original splitter-verses (the not bombed ones) telling her not to make the same mistakes she made finally makes her think about her choices and and and, but this post is already going to be Long so I won't. That would all be a seperate fanfic anyways.
Joana finds a girl her age who looks just like her and acts almost exactly like her, too- the only difference seems to be that there's no Aka around, which made this version of her less used to adventure but also less wary of it.
The version of Joana from this universe- she decides to call herself Joan when they are alone, while the Joana we already know goes with 'Jojo'- her once loathed childhood nickname now a connection to her past- is thrilled to meet her and begs her to stay, I mean what is cooler than suddenly having a twin, and won't it be fun there is so much they can do! As their parents are seperated, they manage to spend their time mostly at one of their homes, either together when the parent is too busy to notice that there are two kids around, or one at each place, guessing correctly that if the parents were to talk about it, they wouldn't even think of the possibility of there being two children and instead just get mad at each other.
This goes on for a few months during the summer, with Jojo feeling vaguely guilty both to her original dead parents and these new ones who think that she is their real daughter, and the girls are just deciding about what to do when school starts again when-
Reality breaks apart around them.
Jojo clings to Joan in fear, and- as Jojo is now on the list of people who have travelled between universes in the past, she is saved by Central, and Joan with her. They are placed into a universe further away this time, a safe distance to the only slowly contained Splitters.
Meanwhile, in the same universe, two people were currently out on a space-walk: Michael Burnham and Philippa Georgiou.
They are thrown out of the universe in the explosion, and as they are wearing their suits, they survive as they end up somewhere in space again, but- they don't end up in the same universe. Michael ends up about 20-30 years earlier in a universe further away, and she doesn't even end up in what would've been federation space in her old 'verse. Philippa is only thrown one universe to the left and picked up by Central. As Central likes to name their acquaintances in some way that makes it easier to identify just which version of a person you are talking to without having to add the long universe number (even harder when the universe was destroyed and there isn't a known number), they ask Philippa to pick a new name. She is way too rattled and desperate to go looking for Michael as quickly as possible to care about what name she is supposed to have, so she goes with the first option given to those who don't have their own nickname ideas: lastname for firstname, making her Georgiana, short Gia.
Through Central, she finds out that the universal explosion left her and Michael connected- but it won't be much help in the search, basically just a way to say 'alright this verse is closer to it than that one', it's still trial and error... (I could also involve some body switching here, idk I already wrote a long fanfic with that trope in the Andromaquynh fandom, but I happen to Like that trope so yeah maybe I'll recycle some parts of In Your Stead if I ever do manage to write this Milippa story. Which, btw, if not already obvious, would again be a seperate fic from the Joana universal-sister story. On the other hand, Aka runs into Georgiana a lot, even calling her 'auntie Gia').
Meanwhile, Michael doesn't have to jump through universes but make her way through just the one universe to get to federarion space. Except what she find's isn't the federation at all... you guessed it, the 'verse she ended up in is more similar to a mirrorverse than to Prime. However, the Georgiou of this world isn't the emperor yet, she's young and Michael is able to influence her enough over the years so that she turns her back to the Empire.
Yes, it takes years for Michael and Gia to find their way back to each other, maybe decades... they also wouldn't have spent exactly the same amount of time apart as they aren't in the same 'verse. In fact, Cleo of Central carefully tells Gia that Michael might have died by now, but of course Georgiana doesn't want to hear this.
Michael and that universe's Georgiou also get quite close, though Michael doesn't want to cheat on her Philippa... of course, after years of this, she might think that she will never see Philippa again... (We are approaching ot3 territory here lol, and I don't even want to think about the potential of ot7 with the two canon mirror and prime versions adsfghjkl because if I finish this story here, I would 100% write a lil fix it where Central! Gia Mikay and Phil go fish Mirror! Michael and Georgiou out of a splitter-verse into the next prime verse in which Michael already knows that Georgiou... and ad they're already at it they also get half dead! Prime Philippa away from the Klingons... heheh sounds like the kind of poly chaos I would enjoy writing, but sadly I have to make it through all the Plot first)
Anyway! Back to Jojo and Joan: they decide that while they maybe should have told Joan's family about Jojo's existence soon if they had stayed in that 'verse, the initial idea of staying with one's universals wasn't so bad, so they go looking for this universe's Joana McCoy. The girl- (nicknamed Anna, which makes Joan decide to change hers from Joan to June because she doesn't want to be half Jojo and half Anna), is happy enough to meet them, but often feels left out from the other two as they act as if they've known each other forever even though of course it's only been a few months... In turn, Jojo and June aren't sure whether Anna really wants them around, whether she might think they're trying to steal her life and family from her...
Lots of potential for conflict! Yay! XD would of course come to a happy ending, with at least Bones accepting his three daughters, dunno yet whether they'd tell the mom... also Aka ends up in the same universe at some point, together with a version of her vulcan birthmother who she had never known the original version of but now gets along with alright... oh and if I do write aforementioned Milippa ot7 bullshitery, this would also be the Prime!verse for that, so all stories in the series or collection interconnect again!
this got... long... and I could obviously go on but I need to go back to writing my Bachelor thesis :(
@whoever read through all of this, do let me know whether you like these ideas and which you would like to read proper fanfic for! Might influence future writing decisions.

COURTNEY EATON,  GENDERFLUID,  THEY/THEM.  —  looks  like  LUKE ANDERSEN is  attending   AURORIA UNIVERSITY  in  auradon.  they're  the  TWENTY year  old  child  of  ARIEL & ERIC ( * adoptive ! ) ,  which  means  they're  from  ATLANTICA.  heard  they're  HONEST  &  CRAFTY,  but  can  also  be  EASILY DISTRACTED &  SELF-SERVING  ;  we all have our bad days.  people  normally  associate  them  with  LOOSE WHITE SHIRTS BLOWING IN THE BREEZE, WHISPY BRAIDS OF DARK HAIR, STANDING ON A BEACH IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM, CRASHING WAVES ALONG THE DECK OF A SHIP.  —  hylia,  9teen,  est,  she & they.
when i’m sad , oh god i’m sad ,                                  but when i’m happy, i am happy                                  and there’s just no place in-between                                  for us to meet.                                  playlist. pinterest. to listen as you read.
howdy folks !! so my name is HYLIA , and I’m here to play the sailor datemate of my dreams , LUKE ANDERSEN. I’m still sort of getting the hang of them since they’re a very new character , so I’m sorry if this intro is all over the place !! No TWS for now save for mentions of death , the ocean , and drowning. Hopefully this isn’t too messy !
HISTORY
So Luke is adopted - the child of one of King triton’s servants who passed away from illness. Originally , Triton was going to take them in himself , but instead , Ariel volunteered to care for the little merbaby and raised them as her own. As a result , Triton gave Luke the ability to grow legs on dry land as well as a tail when touched by large amounts of saltwater.
But , they weren’t told of their true heritage as a child. So they believed they were a human for the longest time.
They grew up loving both of their parents to the max but it was DEFINITELY evident they took after Eric more so. They wanted to travel , wanted to explore - and their dad , with his ship and naval prowess , was their hero. So from a very young age , they would accompany their dad on his travels.
It went to the point in which they were taught to pilot a ship themselves - and they even asked for one for their sixteenth birthday. Nothing else , just a vessel of their own. And they got one , naming it The Queen Jocasta.
First voyage on The Queen Jocasta resulted in an attack by pirates - sixteen year-old Luke tossed off the side of the ship , thinking they were about to drown. But , that power they were unaware of for all this time shifted their legs into a tail , and at that point they realized , Wow , Mom and Dad really haven’t told me SHIT.
So that was when they were explained that yeah , they were originally born a mermaid , and yeah , they were royalty both on the surface and under the sea. And that prompted Luke to spend a year in the ocean to get to know their mother’s family - returning to the surface to finish their time in Auradon Prep afterwards. This meant they graduated a year later at nineteen.
And then when that was over , Luke decided ‘ hey, I’m gonna take a trip all around Auradon by BOAT ’ since... that’s their brand , and spent another year just sailing around the different parts of Auradon ( and on the outside of it ) for the fun of it. They’re only just now getting back to Auradon to attend Auroria.
PERSONALITY & FACTS
So one may describe Luke as an ‘old soul’ - they’re very laid back and relaxed , for the most part , keen on their interests and someone who really seems to know a lot beyond how old they are.
Extremely intelligent - there’s a rumor going around that Luke has an eidetic memory , but they won’t confirm or deny it. ( It’s true. )
OBVIOUSLY AGAIN, OCEAN CHILD. Luke loves the ocean and always hangs out on beaches or the docks if they’re not on their actual boat. Because Luke doesn’t have a dorm - no , Luke sleeps on The Queen Jocasta in their cabin. Captain’s quarters and all that.
They love traveling just for the sake of traveling , and they can read a map like it’s nobody’s business.
Big into the classics like art and music DESPITE the fact they can’t paint , draw - but they can carry a tune well and for that reason , they play guitar nicely.
Honestly they’re smart and into the classics and shit but also this can come off as slightly pretentious since they don’t hesitate to remind people how good of a thinker they are - they don’t say it , but they show it.
Also they know how to dance , taking ballet classes when they were younger !! It’s just not something they remind anyone of much.
One more class they took was swordfighting in attempts to learn how to defend themselves . . . and yes , they’re great at it. Scary great.
In terms of a more direct description of their PERSONALITY , Luke tends to approach situations with again , a very laid back attitude but also one that’s brutally honest. They will let you know if they’re pissed off with you and . . . do have a bit of a temper when their nerves are ticked. Luke’s also got a bit of a dangerous tendency to always think they’re on their own and look after number one ( themselves ) and forgets that they can lean on other people for help. This doesn’t mean they don’t care about their allies - no , they greatly care about them. But Luke’s sort of used to being a mysterious , aloof , brooding traveler that they often forget they now have people they can confide in.
They’ll do things that perk their interest - Luke really isn’t going to go out of their way for something unless there’s either something in it for them or they have a personal interest. Also , if they care for the person , but yeah.
There’s a slight cynical streak to them for no other reason than the fact they just always think they have to watch their back - and for the fact people have secrets , like their parents keeping the secret they were a mermaid for a good portion of their life.
I promise they’re not a conceited selfish prick Luke is just VERY . . . aloof. I know I said that before but they’re distant and sort of keep to themselves and what they want.
Their opinion on the villains and heroes coming together is that they really . . . couldn’t care less. They never were really one to focus too much on the Auradon vs. Isle debacle anyway , but also - they can understand why some VKs are pissed. BUT , since this is Luke we’re talking about - that doesn’t mean they’re going to be exceptionally nice to the villain kids , treating them the same as Auradonian kids - casually , trying to get a read on them , probably the same aloof & ‘I could care less’ demeanor they normally keep up.
Also I should mention !! Luke is genderfluid , preferring they/them pronouns like stated before - but when addressing them with their royal title , they prefer to be addressed by the title of Prince. But Captain is even more so preferred.
Captain Luke Andersen just sounds like BDE I’m ,
Listen I love them so much they’re the myserious captain datemate of my dREAAMS
WANTED PLOTS & CONNECTIONS
OKAY SO. When the main puts up their WC page I will be submitting this one but I’d love an ARRANGED MARRIAGE plot for Luke. Basically , arranged while Luke was away traveling - they could either already know this person or are just meeting them now , but they’re not too keen on the idea of arranged marriage but aren’t really doing anything to fight it since it is what it is. They can either get along or hate each other , be best buddies or the like , but I think it’d be so funny if Luke - a wayward soul - was supposed to be arranged to marry someone who always has to make sure they’re not getting into trouble or something since Luke . . . CANNOT stay in the same place. At all. Bonus if this person is super duper sweet and polite in contrast to Luke’s nature of being absolutely crass & unrefined.
Their fiance: I’m so sorry for them Luke: I’m not, peace sign + middle finger motherfucker
And if this evolves in2 an actual ship that’d b up to chemistry n shit but the main idea I had was just. An arranged marriage. Rly we can do whatever n I’d b cool w/ it.
I’d love a crew for them pls. Again - this can be with both Auradon and Isle kids , since Luke gives no shits , but I’d imagine there’s a few Auradon kids who’ve been with Luke for quite some time.
PIRATE RIVALS PLSSSSS bc I know some Isle kids are pirates and that’s B^) juicy shit 2 me.
In general I’d just rly like some friends who try to get past Luke’s aloof & distant & brooding(tm) nature and let them b... soft n stuff.
also friends in general?? great. gimme soft platonic shit bc mgod thats what gets me all the damn time
if there are some royal kids out there who wanna bfriend luke’s ass since childhood n will stick w/them... give it to me.
Flings that Luke’s had either traveling or also just in Auradon in general bc uh yeah they’re lowkey a huge flirt
not 2 be THAT guy but Luke is a dreamboat haha... hahaha...
please clap
first love !! maybe !! idk sb who definitely luke had a thing 4 but it got lost in luke being. well. luke.
“my only love is the sea” stfu
gimmE SOME ENEMIES
AURADON KID ENEMIES
ISLE KID ENEMIES
PPL WHO THINK LUKE IS A FUCKIN PRETENTIOUS DICK BC THEY ARE
PPL WHO ONLY WANNA SEE THEM CRASH N BURN
FRIENDSHIPS THAT TURNED HOSTILE BC AGAIN, LUKE IS... LUKE.
PPL WHO HAVEN’T LIKE LUKE SINCE CHILDHOOD N THEY’VE ALWAYS GOTTEN INTO FIGHTS AND STUFF
I’m so bad writing wcs so maybe one day I’ll sit down and write formal connections so yeah.
BUT YEAH THAT’S IT !! pls pls pls feel free to either like this or hmu for plotting - I highly suggest contacting me on Discord ( rocky lynch lovebot / hylia.#0329 ) bc I’m always on Discord but Tumblr works too !! I promise u guys I don’t bite. I love u all I’m so excited 4 this !!! :^)

[1]I tried to send an ask yesterday but Tumblr must have eaten it or something..I just listened to the podcast and you bring up some interesting points, like the writers' possible sexism in not letting Kara be the subject of her love story and turning her into the object. Although it's interesting that they've done the same thing to Oliver, who is a man and was the object of Felicity's crush. It's also interesting how the audience reacted to Ol*city vs Kar*lsen. The former is/was a fan favorite
[2]while the latter wasn’t. Apart from the race issues, do you think it’s bc Kara is not “nerdy” enough to identify with? Or bc she’s the “powerful” one in the couple which makes James less of a “prize”? I also found out that there’s enough overlapping with O/F fans, Sp*llen fans and SB fans. It’s interesting that all those ships started out with a “nerdy” awkward woman who is more interested in the hero than he’s in her. That happens despite the “opposites do attract” parallels with O/F and WA
The interesting thing about Kara not being a nerd in the way that Felicity or any of the STEM girls are is that you’ll notice fans who want to pair her with Barry will act like she has “so much in common” with him even though she explicitly isn’t interested in science. So I don’t think it would stop people from identifying with her if they chose to.
And yet I think you’re onto something with Kara being the more powerful one in the relationship. She’s the superhero of the two, but she’s a woman, so they wound up bringing in a being as powerful as her. It reminds me a little of Wonder Woman, whose ship is sweet bean Steve Trevor… And yet in the comics they never reached the level of Clark/Lois or even Bruce/Selina, Wally/Linda and Barry/Iris. Instead they tried to play around and stick her with… You guessed it, Superman, who is as powerful as her.
As for Oliver/Felicity, part of the backlash towards the ship is from people who feel like she took over the show. And that’s possibly coming from the feeling that she’s the one who “pursued” him and it took work for him to fall for her, if that makes sense. Doesn’t make those feelings right, but it’s probably there.
Thanks for the feeback btw! Sorry I’m days late.
The part in 2x09 where Iris told Barry “I’m so happy for you….Truly” would have been a callback to when she was jealous of Barry and Linda’s relationship. But the writers never dove into that, because everyone was busy with their lives while it seemed like Iris was dealing with shit alone. Then again, I guess CP was happy about that, because she didn’t want women fighting over a man on the show.
I think it was a subtle callback, but I agree that the writers didn’t want to make it explicit because they were trying to give Iris a break from catfights haha. But it would have been nice to see Barry being there for Iris even when she wasn’t jealous, alas!
Do you think they could’ve had Barry and Patty break up in a way that would NOT have him looking like the bad guy IF he told her he was The Flash? I think he would have looked really bad if he went to E2 and kissed E2 Iris. It was clear that he was shocked the first time E2 Iris kissed him, but after that he was completely on board with kissing her and he didn’t seem to feel bad about it lol. Also, I think he would’ve done that whether he was dating Patty or not.
Honestly, no. Barry was already less invested in Patty, so any way they broke up was going to have to show that he was the “bad guy.” Not that I really think he was, he just wasn’t as serious about it as she was. The only way to have her leave him is for him to have actually been in love with her and her to decide she couldn’t handle his Flash life. And even though I thought it might go that route, because I was prepared for horrors, I’m so glad it never did.
And I totally agree with you, he would have forgotten Patty’s name the second E2 Iris kissed him even if they were still together.
What is the exact breakdown of season a vs season b on the flash? Is it before the Christmas episode and then after it returns? Or the first 12, then the back 11? I’ve always wondered, lol
There isn’t a specific breakdown, because we are assigning those numbers and not the show or network. But the winter hiatus is what differentiates A from B, so technically 1-9 is A and 12- 23 is B.
WA being more popular than SB and B/P is what counts. It bothers me is that O/F are using trends to prove that their ship is “superior” though. Popular and good are not synonyms. They are not celebrating racism but they are blind to it. I remember a O/F stating that if WA fans are not sure their ship is endgame it’s bc they know they don’t have chemistry while the concerned WA fans were coming from a race standpoint and had already seen enough WoC getting screwed over for WW. It made me cringe.
Yeah, popular does not mean good and vice versa. That’s the thing, of course not everyone has to like WA or see the chemistry. But we know one of the reasons certain people struggle with it is precisely because they’re conditioned to not see a woman like Iris as inherently worthy of love. It’s sad but true, and there shouldn’t be a problem acknowledging that.
That google info that they have is dubious at best. I think downloads of Flash & ratings of Flash & Arrow would be much more accurate. These internet trend #s are too easily manipulated. Also, Flash is CW’s #1 show not in spite of Candice but in large part because of her. It needs to be characterized that way forcefully. W/out her & the Wests a lot of people would not have watched in the first place. Flash over indexes with African Americans. I bet much of that is the difference in ratings.
Even though Arrow appears to have a larger international fanbase, and thus their ships are more popular online, Flash is consistently in the top 5 or 10 of pirated shows. So yeah, we are winning in that regard. And it’s not just black viewers that Flash over-indexes with - it has more Latino viewers than any CW show other than JTV!
