Yeah, I know who you're talking about. I saw them say that the ending of the arc is bad bc it ends with everyone just leaving, but I genuinely don't know how else it could of ended? Like even if they wanted the consequences to be explored afterwards, how could the arc itself have ended differently? Everything that happened seems like the most logical conclusion to me. I want to keep rambling, but idk if you really care or not, so if you want I'll stop
(feel free to keep rambling)
Yeah no I totally get that. I'm perfectly fine with how the arc ended, I thought it had decent impact and made the most sense for every character at the time.
Like, what did they want? For Surge to preach at Sonic about how his morals are flawed and led to her creation? The writers got that message across anyway in a far more in character way without condemning either character. The fight was good, the art was good, the characterization was good, and the ending was good and felt suitably dark for such a dark subject matter. And if it's about everyone just leaving, well, that's how the vast majority of Sonic media ends just due to the fact that it's a continuous narrative which HAS to return to some kind of status quo with minimal change (not to mention not everyone gets out undamaged and also Starline literally DIES).
But also that aside... Why get so angry about it that you scream your unhappiness every time someone brings it up? It's not like the storyline is genuinely offensive like some of Archie's stuff was, the absolute worst case scenario is it's bad storytelling. Why get so angry about it that you yell that it's terrible and horrible every time it's mentioned even in passing? Just let people have their fun, and leave them be. God
