genuinely appreciate the fact that i still study w physical textbooks and use sticky notes. the neuro clinic i'm interning at uses binders for patients and also uses paper for initial data entry and idk holding an actual pen and flipping through actual pages is so healing to me

#granted it's been a year?? i think even longer?#since i switched to an ipad #and it has been super efficient and just makes sense #but i can never let go of actual paper. sometimes i even do active recall in a random physical notebook for fun #my orgo lab assigns a notebook to each lab worker too so it's nice writing in there #i don't think i can fully go physical like my ipad was such a game changer #but this hybrid style is doing it for me and makes me retain info best i think

I went to my little cousin's house and saw this on the porch. She ground up red chalk/dirt in a mortar and painted with little a broken brush. She painted. She painted like our ancestors. She sat there for however long to create pigment just to painted that little heart. Im not good with words, but i wanted to say this did something to me. Made me think of little prehistoric kids doing the exact same thing. Little kids painting what made them happy, like how she painted something that made her happy. Ageless love.
