World Wizard Entertainment Final: FUCKING TROUBLE

(And is Vince McSam in the room with us now?)

Well folks, this is it. The final.

We've lost some good wizards along the way. Also some evil ones. Probably some neutral ones as well, I dunno, this wasn't the alignment quiz. We've campaigned, cat-fought, and cried crocodile tears for who was the most wizard, who was the strongest wizard, and sometimes, who just made the funniest argument.

And in this last round, we've had to say goodbye—for now, but not forever—to our champion, our guiding star, our last hope....

But do you know what? It's what she and her huge, wizardly knockers (and, maybe, somehow, also Cerrit's roguely big naturals?) would've wanted. Her boy, Caleb Widogast, in the final round, up against the Calamity's dearest heart of hearts, Laerryn Coramar-Seelie.

Pfffft, alright, enough of that heartfelt fuckery.

it doesn’t feel real that we’re getting more mighty nein this week. we’re gonna see them all at the table again, playing these characters in real time. we’re gonna get to know kingsley, we’re gonna hear their voices. this stupid show shouldn’t mean as much to me as it does but it does and I cannot even express my emotions about the reunion. augh is it Thursday yet?

31. favorite speech given by a pc

i think i have to shout out caleb's speech to essek in the boat here, because that was incredible. sometimes i will just repeat "you learned it. you learned it." to myself if i want to lose my mind.

that said, though, in terms of favorites? caduceus's speech to fjord probably wins. "some day, somebody will pray for a miracle, pray for something to save them, to whatever gods are nearby, and that prayer will be answered because you’ll show up" as a line is devastating to me, and i've always been especially weak to discussions about miracles- something about the greater forces of it all, the wonder and the awe in the idea, and how, like, we are very small in a very big world and we matter so much. you show up and that's the miracle, that's all, and it is so small and it is so big at once.

i actually don't rewatch! i was too busy trying to catch up with the show as it was, but i might go back and watch some caduceus moments now that it's over- and of course if i ever want to cry i have caleb's epilogue. liam o brien sir.

In light of how almost hesitant Essek was to indulge in any excitement over the temporal dock beyond, "This validates my theories," especially right after the discussion about how the eyes are effecting Caleb and Beau and not soon after the discussion in the paper room, it'd be real fun if we got a conversation akin to the Trent discussion where Essek looks at Caleb and says, "This is a choice between a dangerous, unpredictable unknown that could rewrite the state of the entire continent, and each other. And I would rather have the guarantee of a future, with you."

And reader, if that happens, I will expire on the spot. My soul will just leave my body altogether.
