I saw your post about Greedfall a while ago and I was hoping you'd indulge me in a few questions. Did you romance anyone? Who was your favorite character? What kind of spells/talents did you use? Who was your least favorite character (aside from everyone in Theleme, let's just burn that fucker to the ground). How would you rate it on a scale from 1-10? Would you recommend it to anyone?
Oooh - I’ll be glad to answer this!I romanced Kurt - and idk if this is biased but Kurt was also my favorite because he always had something snarky to say when he talked - but also Siora and Aphra and yes my cousin Constantine until…you know 🤧I went completely the Technical class - with some dabbling in magic and warrior, but I mainly maxed out Rouge in a sense lol My favorite aspect of Technical was my gun and leaving traps. It’s kinda hard to say who was my LEAST favorite character, in a sense I liked all of them, but I’d have to say maybe Vasco? Not personality wise, I loved him, but his personal quests were done SO EARLY that he ended up being kind of forgettable especially since I was technical class and so was he, so I had no use for him in my party.
How I would rate the game would be like…mmmmmmm…..3.5/10 :/ . I got the game before they patched issues that I had with it, game play wise, like not being able to change key assignments etc., but like overall…I felt like the main character was doing most of the game by themselves lol There would be quests and your character is speaking aloud and you assume to your party, but they never answer them AT ALL and then there’ll be cut scene dialogue where once again your character is talking to one party member in particular to think aloud and plan the next step and they don’t even answer or respond most of the time sdflkds When the party members DID have something to add I was shocked cause I was so used to them not talking, even by the end of the game. Their dialogue peters out after you do their personal quests and you’re stuck with the same prompts and then there’s really NOTHING to the romance either. Like you do their quests and then you get to sleep with them once and then…that’s it. They’ll greet you with their romantic term, but there is nothing new to say to them. So I was shocked that the end of the game REMEMBERED I was romancing someone because they gave me a little snippet that ended really quickly lol Also I played as a female and the game apparently REALLY wanted you to be male because there were instances where they would get my character’s pronouns wrong lol The only thing I could say I really LOVED in the game was the dodging cause it looked cool lol the fighting was also okay..kind cool…but got repetitive FAST. Either with running into animals that you jsut wanna avoid or running into people who want to mug you, especially the people who want to mug you. They basically respawn in the same spots over and over in cities after dark. And then the ending to the game was just…lackluster. Very anti-climatic.
I paid full price for this game when it came out and if anything it’s a fun game if you really have nothing to do and it gives you something to do, however I wouldn’t say it was a great game or that it has replay-ability at all lol I had to keep reminding myself that it wasn’t Bioware because I had been spoiled by them completely in this type of genre. I would only recommend it to people to buy it on like a really good Steam sale - maybe even 50%-75%. Cause I don’t think it was worth full price at all lol
