Ok, so… calling all “adult novelty toy” enthusiasts.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF SQUISHIES.
I keep seeing indie toy makers boast entire runs of them, and while I originally thought they were like… just a random thing made with leftover silicon, or a way to show off different colours and firmnesses for people planning their “adult” purchase… they’re so ubiquitous and clearly not an afterthought that I feel like I must be missing out on something cool?
Anyway. Reveal your kinks! I want to know why people buy these, and why dildo makers sell them! No judgement, just curiosity -I love learning about new sex and kink stuff.

I was talking a bit about this but I think part of the reason iterators are designed as these small little doll-like puppets is both to humanize and dehumanize them by the Ancients. The puppet, at is core, is a means for communication with a great biological machine- to give it a face and features and ground it as you ask its advice or it's progress. This massive, world-altering creation simplified down to this little thing that had all the features of a person.
But its also small, cute, Ancient-like but clearly not an Ancient itself. They're colorful and simple, like a toy for children. And I think thats largely how Ancients saw them- often not as a person with desires and opinions but as an extension of the Ancient's work, a personalized character that represented their cities and people, whos citizens could like them and were comprehensible to their children, but was not them- and would not reap the reward of being them when a solution was found. Each one pretty and unique to make them individuals, but not seen- truly- as individuals by many- just as parts of their cities, something under the Ancients. Like if every town had its own personal My Little Pony they could ask advice on where the next community center should be built.

pls know that I bought myself a little art scrapbook after seeing yours and I am, like, ABSURDLY excited to use it 💚
HELL YEAH HELL YEAH HELL YEAH!!!
I hope you have a lot of fun!
Journaling and scrapbooking have become a lot of fun to me lately because they're so versatile: you can put all kinds of stuff in 'em, and there's soooo many accessories and specialty items you can get nowadays.
Here's some of my favorite stuff to use with my hobonichi planner: planner-specific sticky notes, regular and mini sized sticky notes, washi tape and washi tape cutter, white-out tape, and a glue pen + tombow's glue dots roller. You can't forget a good pair of scissors or an x-acto knife, either.
So far I've gotten more use out of the glue pen; it's perfect for the mini sticky notes and when I cut stuff out and it's in odd shapes the glue tape can't quite handle:
Don't forget to get a bunch of weird stickers! Get some tape! Marker pens!! A ruler! An edge cutter for papers to make em round or decorative! More stickers!!!!
Again, I really hope you have fun in your scrapbook!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
