I was wondering...I was always confused about Narcissa’s hair. It’s been a while since I read the books. Did she color it blonde to show her now belonging to House Malfoys. Or was it naturally blonde? Movies confused me a bit I guess.

Yes, this had me confused too! I've agonized and toiled over it, more than I probably should, about how I should draw her hair because people have generally different views, which is totally understandable! 💕

And I've always wanted to discuss it, so now that I've been given a reason to... Well.

If you take a look at some of my Narcissa fanart, you'll notice the different ways I'd color her hair. I was so confused. Is she a light blonde? Dark blonde? A mix of raven hair and blonde hair? If she has blonde hair then why does her family have (mostly) dark hair? And WHY does she have blue eyes?! This woman is absolutely confusing! (Which is kind of, you know, fitting because Narcissa always loves to be a mystery to literally anyone lol)

So I did my homework, asked around, and scoured every bit of information, canon or otherwise, that I could find about her. It led me to this:

In canon, this is what the Black sisters look like. You can find the page here. Narcissa is a child here, and already has blonde hair. So we can go ahead and safely assume that she was born with natural blonde hair. But in the films, Narcissa has black and blonde hair. I don't actually know why they gave her that hair color, maybe so that the audiences wouldn't question her blood relations with the Blacks--I don't know. I really don't. But now we have a book version Narcissa, one who has full blonde hair. And a movie version Narcissa, one who has raven and blonde hair. At least, that's how the different hair colors started: a movie version, and a book version.

So... here's where it gets confusing.

To my knowledge, it isn't actually explained why her hair color is the way it is in both the movies and the books. Having blonde hair does raise many questions, how is she the "only" blonde in a family of dark hair and dark eyes? To top it all off, it gets even more confusing, because fanon writes and draws her either as a full blonde or a mix of raven and blonde hair. We just have this large pile to sift through of her having either hair color. No one actually explains anything. She's just... infuriatingly there. She's either blonde or raven haired and blonde. BUT fanfiction writers, as I've observed, give their own reasons why Narcissa's hair color is the way it is in their respective stories. And it's actually pretty creative and interesting! It adds even greater depth to her character, and it fits the narrative of the story even better. Remember, the character we're dealing with is Narcissa Black. One of her main traits is "she won't do anything unless there is a clear purpose behind it." This character is deliberate, meticulous, and she makes sure to plan ahead at all times. And so, some fanfiction writers decide to play on that.

You can skip this part if you want to avoid spoilers but I've compiled a small list of instances in (Cissamione) fanfiction where Narcissa's hair is mentioned.

🔹 In Extinction by rubikanon in Chapter 10: Build and Break, Hermione asks Narcissa about it. Here, Narcissa has black and blonde hair. She explains that she only decided to dye it blonde to "fit in with the Malfoys." We can gather two things from that alone, which resonates with her character perfectly: 1.) Narcissa is loyal and 2.) Narcissa purposefully wants to show the rest of the world how loyal she is by committing to having blonde hair. The woman has some serious commitment, and it shows. But now, the way that it's slowly growing back into her natural black hair color, hints that perhaps Narcissa no longer wishes to fit in with the Malfoys. However, if we take an even closer look, we can safely assume that Narcissa isn't the kind of person to just leave her hair color "unattended" like that. Remember, she's meticulous. And this is a big deal for her, the fact that she's just kind of letting it grow back instead of either fully dyeing it back to black, or dyeing it back to blonde. It suggests that perhaps she's a little unsure this time, perhaps it is her uncertainty that is the reason why it's now a mix of both. Another grey area? Or maybe it's actually something more deliberate? Maybe now, she likes that it's a mix of both. That other half now being solely for Draco, and not to fit in (completely) with the Malfoys any longer. Who knows why Narcissa does things the way she does? We can speculate to the ends of the earth, or be as smart as Hermione Granger (or with the case of Extinction, see Hermione's thoughts), but something tells me we'd still be a good step behind.

"Which one is your natural hair color?" I wondered aloud.

(Narcissa) She glanced up at the unexpected question. I was relieved she hadn't sensed my attention yet. It's not like I meant anything by it, I told myself. She was so beautiful, one couldn't help but notice. And feel physically drawn to her. And want to see her two-toned hair fanned across her back, slipping over the bare skin, silky beneath my fingers...

"Why do you ask?" Her query brought me back to reality, and I hurriedly corrected my imagination to include a pretty dress covering the rest of her.

"I don't know." I chewed the inside of my cheek, suppressing my other thoughts. "I'm just curious."

Her gaze returned to the fire. "You've seen enough of my relatives to guess which color is genetic. The blond is something I added to fit in with the Malfoys, after Draco was born." She was quiet for a moment. "He looks so much like his father. I suppose I wanted to share some resemblance."

🔹 In Killing Me Softly by Looktotheedges in Chapter 4: Nagging, Hermione suggests that perhaps Narcissa is part Veela because of her blonde hair and very attractive features, like Fleur. Which is this whole other theory/plot that's very interesting, but won't be discussed in this post. Narcissa tells Hermione that Sirius has always been blonde, and that it isn't out of the question for her to be blonde either. Sirius Black. A blonde. I know! Maybe it's there because it's funny that Sirius is actually blonde like Narcissa. Prissy, haughty, lady-like Narcissa. Arguably the 'girliest' cousin that he has. No, no, no. He doesn't want to be anything like Narcissa. Anyway, if that's the reason, I think that's hilarious and cute.

Narcissa turns away. 'I am aware my appearance is frightfully drab. Work has been…'

Hermione holds back a disbelieving scoff. 'Narcissa. You always look beautiful. And you’re talking to the witch with grass in her hair who practically lives in her office all week.'

Narcissa just leans further over the crib. 'A blonde little boy. It has been so long since… I can almost imagine…'

Hermione stands next to her. Looks down at the peacefully sleeping Louis. He does look remarkably like Draco. 'Are you sure there’s no Veela blood in you? You weren’t secretly switched at birth?'

'Like a changeling?'

'It would explain your blonde hair.'

'Sirius was also blonde, it is not completely out of the question for us Blacks.'

What?!

(...) 'I know. But it is the truth. He was blond until he was about seven… then it began to darken. Mousy. Dull. He wanted to look cool and brooding instead, so he got his hands on some kind of charm right before he set off for Hogwarts. A new, edgy Sirius. It was around then he forbade us from calling him Siri. Said it sounded too girly.'

🔹 In Fixed in Time by TheWorldsaBeastofBurden in Chapter 9: Sisters and Saviors, it's also tackled a little humorously. Andromeda let's a little comment slip while they're in the middle of trying to heal Hermione. Something funny, something that suggests Andromeda and Bella, when they were children, have always wondered why Narcissa is blonde unlike them.

The first words spoken occurred after they’d risen and attempted their casting. Andromeda’s preparedness to take on their task had been clear in her mind so Narcissa rose with her sister, wrapped an arm around her waist and held her near as the woman raised her wand to draw up the rest of the injury she’d dropped, half a slash across Hermione’s hip bone…

That remained half, as Andromeda growled out, “...it isn’t working.” she looked to Narcissa, “Why aren’t you powering me?”

What nonsense? “I am!” she insisted. She was! Or “I- I am trying to!” Her magic was active and alive, pulsing to rise from her skin and transfer into Andromeda’s but it- it wasn’t working! “Could...could it be that you were disowned?”

“Disowning doesn’t take away the fact that we share blood, our magic is directly related. Ugh, Bella always said you were adopted!”

“Oh ha- oh.”

“...oh?” Andromeda returned.

“...it’s not an issue of power. It is what I intend to aid in casting,” Narcissa slowly worked out. Oh, it was most blessed Mister Goyle could be brought to assist the present Hermione. If her present self had been brought to aid Andromeda? “...I cannot harm Hermione.”

Andromeda sighed with some frustration. “I understand you are so tenderly in love-”

“It isn’t- I’m avowed! I- when we arrived from the future we had to escape Malfoy Manor, I couldn’t bring Hermione through the wards without...I couldn’t add her directly, that would be visible. I had to...attach her permission to mine.”

🔹 In Glass Silence by Zarrene Moss (Menzosarres), which probably gives one of the most interesting backstories for Narcissa's hair, for why it's blonde. I can't put a clip of the scene here without hogging up a huge chunk of space on your dash, so I'll try to explain it as best I can instead.

Understand that these come with serious 🛑spoilers🛑 so please do read it at your own risk.

In Glass Silence, Narcissa's hair and eye color was black at birth. But after an accident with raw magic, something Bellatrix wasn't able to control when they were children, Narcissa almost dies. Bellatrix, using even more raw magic, tries desperately to pull Narcissa's "life force" back, but at the cost of losing the eumelanin that made Narcissa's eyes and hair black. Narcissa survived, but now has very little eumelanin left, which is why she's so pale, blonde, and has blue eyes. Every time Narcissa looks at a mirror, her reflection is a reminder of the day she almost died. Bella, on the other hand, is reminded of that day every single time she looks at Narcissa.

So! These are only a few fanfictions I could think of at the top of my head that tackles the issue of Narcissa's hair. In the books, to my knowledge, she is described as having blonde hair and very pale skin.

But let's take another deep dive, if you're up for it.

These are mostly theories, which are largely unconfirmed, but I think they're interesting to think about.

There's this description in the wiki:

"Narcissa Malfoy is described as tall, slim, "nice looking", and very pale, with blue eyes, long blonde hair, and a clear, cold voice. Her hair colouring thus differs from most of the House of Black, who generally have dark hair, though Narcissa does possess the arrogant good looks characteristic of her family."

There's also this pinterest photo of the Black sisters being compared to each other side by side, descriptively and physically. I'm so sorry, I don't know who drew it, but here's a link to the post on pinterest.

"Narcissa threw back her hood. She was so pale she seemed to shine in the darkness... long blonde hair streaming down her back."

Which is interesting because this hints that she's... different. It's a bit literal in this sense--she comes from a pureblood family, arguably the most influential and notorious one, the Blacks, who mostly have dark hair and eyes, and yet her physical appearance directly contrast that. There's also the matter of her namesake. She's the only Black to be named after a flower instead of a galaxy or a star. We aren't really given any explanation why she's the only one who's different. Even Sirius, who fought and died for the side of the Light, is named after the brightest star in the sky. Even Andromeda. It's been said that this is actually meant to be a parallel of some sort to Lily Evans. Narcissa and Lily are both named after flowers, even Petunia (Lily's sister). And I know there's this thing where it's a tie up to how Harry was ultimately saved by a mother's love: Harry lived at the beginning because of his mother's love, and Harry lives once again at the end of the books because Narcissa, a mother who wanted to save her own son, saved him.

If you read that scene in the books where Harry is saved by Narcissa, the whole scene is actually... pretty soft? There's that sort of disarming softness about Narcissa in that moment, where Harry expected to be callously dragged and prodded for a heartbeat. Instead, he gets a surprisingly gentle touch, a curtain of long blonde hair shielding him from the darkness, and the kind of tenderness he wouldn't expect from his enemies, "Is Draco alive?"

It's almost like Narcissa's appearance is something of a "tell". With Andromeda, she's described to have kind eyes, open, unguarded. She inherited her family's dark eyes and dark hair, and she even looks like Bellatrix's twin. I suppose we could say, Andromeda wants to fight that in any way she can by being openly kind. Narcissa is quite literally the opposite--guarded eyes, stoic expressions, cool and calculated emotions. We're veering into this fine line between fanon and canon in terms of their characterization (but only due to lack of canon materials) but personally, I think Narcissa having blonde hair and blue eyes is somewhat more fitting for her character. Again, this line:

"Narcissa threw back her hood. She was so pale she seemed to shine in the darkness... long blonde hair streaming down her back."

It's like that one glaringly obvious hint that everyone overlooks simply because... because it's the most obvious one. "Me! I'm different! I'm the last person you'd expect, but it really is me!"

Anyway. I've rambled on long enough. Hope this clears up some of that confusion, anon. Hoping it didn't ADD even more confusion... 😂 At the end of the day, this is just me speculating, gushing, and being One Big Fool™. So.

But either way, blonde hair, dark hair, mix of both, I adore her. Pretty much.

1. How did you get into Mass Effect?

Kicking and screaming, basically! lol I’d been playing Dragon Age for four years, met some good friends online through a Dragon Age rpg site and heard them talking about Mass Effect. They kept trying to convince me to play, too, but I refused. When I looked at it, all I saw was a shooter game and that wasn’t for me. (Dragon Age at least made sense because a) my background playing D&D and b) my Master’s Degree in medieval history kind of tied in. Space shoter game? not so much)

Then over Labor Day weekend of 2012, my (then) husband was at Dragon Con and I was stuck home with the kiddo who was 13 (and this wasn’t the first time this had happened) and one of those friends got on Skype where we all hung out and mentioned Origin had the games on sale. ME1/ME2 for $10 each and ME3 for $20. I’d hit my breaking point, so I said why the hell not and I got them and started playing while talking to them over Skype. I was hooked from the moment I set foot onto Eden Prime and I’ve never looked back!

2. Have you finished all three games?

Oh god, so many times I’ve lost count. I played first on PC and later on my PS3 (my preferred method) and at some point in all of that my Shepard spreadsheet began because damn, ALL THE POSSIBILITIES!!! It’s like Pokkemon: Gotta play them all!

4. First Shepard: Paragon, Renegade or Neutral?

First time through, Paragon. That’s just sort of how Serafina Shepard worked out. On later playthroughs, I started experiementingmore. Hell, on later playthroughs for Serafina (I think I’ve completed about 6 different games for her, counting NG+?) she becomes more Renegade, especially in ME2. By the end, she’s mostly Paragon, but there are definitely some Renegade moments for her!

6. Preferred Shepard backstory (colonist, earthborn, spacer)?

There was a point when I’d have said Colonist, hands down. More recently, I’ve added Spacer to that list. I’ve played all three, and the only reason Earthborn hasn’t been at the top of the list yet is becase I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. (getting much closer these days!) My first, Serafina, was Colonist - she’s a character I created in Dragon Age rpg and it was the closest I could give to her that fit her story in my head. It’s my default backstory for Shepard and probably always will be.

9. Share a pic of your favorite Shepard.

Oh let’s see if I still have one ...

Can’t find one of Serafina at the moment, but this is my Little Engineer That Could, Jayce Shepard. She’s Colonist/Sole Survivor like Serafina.

13. Favorite ME1 squad combo?

I love EVERYone, but when the Citadel DLC came out and we got to pick from all of our old buddies from ME1, I automatically went back to Shepard/Kaidan/Wrex. I hadn’t realized just how much I missed Wrex until that moment! (I have this tendency to pick characters to make sure that MINE stays alive because while I can play video games fairly well, I know I’m squishy! lol Plus, Wrex’s banter is some of the absolute BEST)

51. That One Headcanon that hurts to think about?

Commander Bailey manages to get the Council off of the Citadel before TIM and the Reapers arrive in ME3 and then move it to Earth, but that’s about it. But, what about everyone else who is there? Permanent residents? Refugees? The teenage girl in the holding area talking to the C-Sec officer at the desk? The Salarian (from ME2) at the shop on the lower level of Zakera Ward (can’t recall his name or the company)? The Japanese noodle stand? What about Dr. Michel in Huerta? There’s soooooooo many people there, maybe a few get away if they’re lucky, if they’re in fortunate positions when the alert comes (IF it comes?), and they can get away, but maybe not. The docks are filled with refugee ships, remember, so that’s a hinderance as well ...

Wow, that got very dark all of a sudden, but yeah one of my big headcanons is thinking about the Citadel at the end of ME3. I’m weird :P (actually, I’ve used part of this headcanon in a story already)

The Packaging: I have to say the box was super sturdy that it made its way to me without any issues. Normally boxes come damaged or broken, but this was all intact so I was super pleased!

When you get in, you will find this lovely card strip from XY London about the product. The shoes comes wrapped in their own plastic bags, with tissue padding inserted into the foot area and wrapped around the buckles for protection against scratches.

The first thing I noticed was on the right foot, there were a few scuff marks. Nothing too major, but someone who has an eye for detail, this was the first thing I picked up when I put the shoes on the bed.

Getting Them On: the beauty about these is that the cross straps are slightly adjustable – you can move them around so you are able to slip your foot right into them. I had no issues getting these on at all – pretty straight forward once you mess with the straps a little.

These are buckle closure, which has multiple holes that you can choose from. I always tend to go for the tightest just to make sure that my feet are secure!

On The Feet: well let me just say that wearing suede always makes such an impact – that rich black really does look amazing and these can be paired with any outfit you like! I’m sure patent or faux leather would look great too, but suede always gives off a classy vibe!

The peep toes are perfect; it’s not too much of a big opening that all your toes are out but not small enough that the big toe just shows. It’s just the right amount to show off that pedi and still keep it classy!

The fit of these are great – as I am in between UK 5 and 6, I opted for size 5 and it was perfect. I had enough room in my shoes so they weren’t feeling tight in any way or rubbing against the back of the ankles.

The heel I would class as high (even though some angles make it look shorter than what it is) so if you’re not used to wearing thin heels or high heels, then you might want to reconsider, or get them and just practice at home walking in them before you go out. I thought these were the perfect height; any higher then it wouldn’t look as classy and any lower, I would just hate it lol!

My Thoughts?

I gotta say I love these heels – I wore mine out and about, but I would certainly pair these up with office attire or casual outfits. They are such a classy pair with a versatile look and I love them!

Greetings. Depictions of George Washington can be found in lodges and posters both in place and time but it seems somewhat ill-deserved. While he did much for America, he did little for the craft. According to records he scarcely attended lodge. Do you think his commemoration within Freemasonry is so often shown simply because of what his face means to the nation or do you think it is deserved? If you think it is not, who do you think would be a better American mason to be shown on our walls?

I agree that is a good observation. I am still learning more everyday about Washington and his life. I think Washington was a very private Mason, who did his utmost to internalize the higher ideals inculcated in the order and this reflects in many of the masons particularly Benjamin Franklin who helped write and guide our Nation at it’s beginnings. So while it is true he may not have attended lodge often, his writings and family portrait suggest he took his obligations very seriously. If you look at his family portrait which includes his likely black cousin (Billy Lee) through his older brother, upon which he took an oath and gave a living wage even though they were estranged and freed in his Will, as well as his son holding a compass (Edward Savage: The Washington Family) to me, personally, this speaks of a man with high integrity. That he would include a black family member in his family portrait during a time when that was unheard of, as well as a clear sign of attempting to keep his son within due bounds as the compass represents, I think highlights subtle things within his character that is deserving of honor. Also, in Prince Hall freemasonry, in some jurisdictions we put on a play for fun after degree work of the interaction between George Washington and Prince Hall, where during the revolutionary war, initially they were against allowing blacks into the fight, (due to fear of armed blacks in areas) and did not allow them to fight, essentially as a form of gun control. It was Prince Hall and other freemen that met with Washington and helped to convince him to reverse his decision. I think it was the principles of freemasonry that guided him, as our play/legend states that they both met as Masons.

In the words of Bro. Charles S. Wesley:

“With the coming of the Revolution, black volunteers, Prince Hall among them, saw action in the early battles of Concord, Lexington and Bunker Hill.When George Washington, named to head the Revolutionary Army, arrived at Cambridge to take command of his troops, he found scores of blacks among them. Although he and his officers allowed them to continue serving, they refused at first to accept them as regular members of the Continental Army.Tradition says that it was Hall who led a delegation directly to the general in protest, reminding Washington that many colonists still sided with the British, that thousands of slaves had already responded to Lord Dunmore’s proclamation welcoming Negroes into his forces, and that more would surely follow if only to obtain their personal freedom if they were barred from joining the Continental Army.Washington thereupon agreed to allow them to join, and so informed the Congress. After the disastrous winter at Valley Forge, he abandoned all his reservations, accepting more than 5,000 into his forces. Six army enlistment records attest that Princes Hall was among those black members of the American Revolutionary Army.”

So I suspect that Washington demonstrated the higher ideals of the order through his actions, effecting greater positive change that allowed free and freed blackmen alike to fight in the Civil War. If not for Washington this might not have even happened. Also, who knows what would have happened if a large portion of the Continental Army had not allowed those soldiers to fight? So in my own opinion, Washington deserves great credit and honor for these actions. There is a lot in his history that not many people are aware or even know about. So this is part of the reason I continue to try to learn more about Washington, and parse the fact from fiction.

Also, let’s be real, Washington is a good way to raise the prestige of freemasons and acts as a draw into the Order, having the first president associated with American masonry will draw many into her ranks, as you indicated. So I agree with you there as well. However I do believe that Washington exemplified moral courage and what it means to be a Mason at a time when it was desperately needed, and through his actions changed the course of history, for the better. So I do think it is deserved. Benjamin Franklin, in my opinion, is the quintessential mason, and it is without a doubt him whom I would choose as historical standard bearer lol, but that’s just my preference lol. Bro. Franklin was a true esoteric mason I think, what Pike called ‘Princes of Masonry’. Speaking of Pike, he might be a good choice as well to put up on the walls. I know I would. They are both all over my bookshelves so I guess I have put them up on my walls already lol. But I def. see what you mean, and I think the short answer is that not many people are aware of what those other men have done and how devoted they were to understanding masonry. George Washington everyone should know about, and being the most prestigious member in the history of American masonry at least, is an easy choice to adorn the outer halls of a Temple. Pike would be my serious choice, as he did more for masonry by seriously revising the rituals that he is more directly responsible for shape of the current higher degrees then anyone else I can imagine. Even in Prince Hall masonry, Pike gave his rituals shortly after the Civil War to Bro. Thornton A. Jackson, Sovereign Grand Commander United Supreme Council, 33°, SJ, PHA from 1887 to 1904. Jackson was a personal friend of Albert Pike. After Jackson mentioned to Pike how PHA bodies were in need of adequate rituals in the Scottish Rite advanced degrees, Pike is said to have given him an autographed, complete set of the Scottish Rite rituals. Now remember, Pike was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War and during his youth the rumor is he was racist and loved whoring and drinking when he could. Now fast forward, having seriously studied freemasonry and attempted to integrate the higher ideals of the order into his own personal life, and he is an intellectual giant and great man, with moral authority and keenness Kings would envy. This is the Great Work, the ‘philosophers stone’ that we can manifest in our lives, at least in my opinion. I think Albert Pike would be my choice if we were solely going off of contributions to freemasonry and advancing the degrees and ethos of the Order at large. Another favorite of mine is Manly P. Hall, but he is too controversial to many brothers that they might not tolerate him being put up on their Lodge walls. So Washington is a less controversial figure and is the oldest known American freemason with a great degree of stature and prestige to the Nation. I mean I thank him for the faster turnaround of Presidents every 8 years, he stepped down when he didn’t have to you know? Some people wanted to make him a King, but he refused. Hello, I am trying to arrange vehicle insurance. I have contacted A&L with regards to their car insurance. Basically I have just changed jobs, where I had company cars for the last 6 years with no claims. I was driving home from work in the 4th lane of a 4 lane highway. There was a gap of approximately 4~5 cars in the 3rd lane, so I switched into that lane. By the time I finished the lane change, there was approximately 3~4 cars distance between me and the car behind me. I then drove for approximately a 100 yards, at which point the traffic suddenly slowed and I decelerated. The guy behind me, however, seems to have been looking elsewhere and rear ended me. However, before he collided, he managed to swerve his car and hit the corner of my rear bumper with the corner of his front bumper. We pulled over to the side of the road and exchanged information. It turns out that he does not have a driver's license (or any California/U.S. ID; he showed me a Mexican ID). He begged me not to call the police, admitted fault and said that he would settle it through his insurance (he is insured with a VERY shady place called Access General). I took pity on him, especially since it was very likely that he is an illegal immigrant, so I just took his information down and moved along. Fast forward a few days, and I find out that he has told his insurance that I cut in front of him and that he is not at fault. Since there are no witnesses or a police report, his insurance takes his side. Meanwhile, since I only have liability with Geico, they are saying that they can't help me. The damage to my car is between $4~5k, and that is not even taking into account devaluation of the car's value. I feel very cheated because I took pity on him and I am rewarded with a repair bill that nobody wants to deal with. I live in Tennessee by the way and I didnt have insurance at the time..even though I went out and got it an hour later. My question is who is responsible for paying for the damages to the person who hit me? Their insurance is already fixing my car, but the lady who hit me was driving her dads car and she only had liability but not on the car she was driving. My dad was in the USMC back during the Vietnam War and is now on 100% disability. I was approved for the Dependents' Education through the GI Bill and now I'm wondering if I can get low-cost health insurance through the military as well. I'm 18 and am his only child living at home. We live in New Hampshire and I am currently going to school full time. Like I said, he is on 100% disability through the VA and I was looking at the US Family Health Plan at Martin's Point but I'm not sure if he has to be on the plan so it would be a family plan or if I could do it as an individual plan. He is covered 100% but has to travel like 2.5 hours away to go to Togus in Augusta but I'm not sure if I would be covered in any way through any of this or if I could at least get affordable health insurance through him? ok, I'm 17 and I own a 1999 Dodge Ram 4x4. I pay an insane amount for insurance, and I know I'm a teenager, but I haven't had any tickets or accidents to make it go up. Anyway, my truck is really common in my area, there are Ford, Chevy, and Dodge trucks everywhere you look. But yet I compare the insurance of my truck to a brand new Camaro SS, and the Camaro way cheaper, Heck I compared it to a Brand new Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG, and it's still way cheaper. I'm thinking about getting a little newer Dodge Ram, but the insurance is a little more expensive on it than what I'm already paying. So why are trucks the most expensive vehicles to insure? I mean if they are in a low speed accident, they don't cost nearly as much to fix as a Brand new expensive car such as a Mercedes with expensive parts, and trucks don't get damaged as easily either. It's kind of frustrating that I have a 11 year old vehicle that you see everywhere, and the cost to insure it is outrageous already, but even If I get the same truck only 5 years old, it's even more to insure, which is understandable seeing how it's newer. I know trucks are big, but even a Brand new Suburban cost less to insure than my 11 year old truck. The truck I'm thinking about buying is the most expensive vehicle possible to insure on a standard drivers license.""

I have car insurance on my 2010 ford focus. When i signed up with them they never asked me about my title. it does have a salvage title but they never asked me if it had one or not. I have been insured with them for approximately almost 2 years with A+ plus driving history.
