HC that because Richie and Ruth died in a black altar, they came back as weaker ghosts than Max (since Waylon Hall was the only place with the actual curse implemented) and therefore only Pete can see them.

I like this HC because i don't like how Pete didn't like react enough to his literal best friends dying, so in my head, it's because they didn't leave him. The way he reacts to "Richie's dead???" sounds almost like he's confused, so in my head, it's because Richie has been following him around, acting weird but he didn't know he was dead until Shapiro said so.

I also just wanted to figure out how to draw these nerds cause i love them so much and I like how they look her so I'll prolly stick with these designs

I understand Ruth, giving up on your dreams because of a substantial mental roadblock like anxiety and feeling like your life’s already over at 18, feeling cursed to live an unfulfilling life with a dysfunctional nuclear family sounds like a fucking nightmare to me too

okay okay guys. hear me out. max jagerman works as a lifeguard at the local pool over the summer

pre-npmd he terrorizes richie pete and ruth whenever they're there, post-npmd (no one dies and they all become friends because i say so) he sneaks them free snacks from the snack stand

and ofc no matter what he's sneaking kyle and jason and all the rest of the guys in after hours. also you better believe he's keeping his shirt off and flexing in front of all of the girls (and guys)

anyways this is basically me being inspired by my classmate drawing a frame from the musical so i thought "Hey! that would be fun to do", it was not fun to do when you have multiple art deadlines y'all

Something about Richie being doomed from the start. How he and Ruth never had a shot, talking about being dead from the beginning. How their lives were just starting to change for the better. How everyone moved on from their deaths just as quickly as Max's, if not faster. How they just existed to die, to give the story stakes.
