Yor/Yana: naked but with fur, or a sheet. But preferably naked and wet, always. Sweat counts too - but the baths are THE sexiest place for them.

Auryn: Naked beneath thin clothes or cloth. Anything that hints at what's beneath. Low slung trousers. Cleavage. Anklet jewelry. Being comfortable is hot.

Sene/Selene: Jewelry and chains hidden beneath clothes, straps and buckles, ropes. Qunari armor anyone? They'd go buck wild. Armor and uniform overall makes them think thoughts they ought not to.

Leith/Custom: slips of skin, like high cuts on pants and dresses, low backs. Anything that gives a tantalizing glance of skin. Wearing a summer dress or a sleeveless shirt? They'd be drooling and howling.

Idren/Ida: lingerie for SURE. The more elaborate the better. Or form fitting clothes if one doesn't wear lingerie. Also hunter wearing their clothes after shamelessly stealing them, and if you still have lingerie under they will not let you leave the bed.

One of the grandest horses of this time, or any time, OKW Entrigue+++// (Allience+// x *Ekspresja by Bandos), trained and ridden by Patience Prine-Carr in a lovely Suzane Sturgil photo.

Bred, owned and loved his entire life by Mary Jo Wertheimer and her family, “Ricky” was foaled at their Oakwerth Arabians farm in Woodinville, WA. Sired by 4 time US and Canadian National Champion Park Horse, Allience+// (*Aladdinn x A Love Song by *Bask++ and out of *Elkana++), and out of *Ekspresja (Bandos x Elegia by Comet), he came by his athletic ability honestly. Ricky joins the ranks of US and International winners that include Wayne Newton’s *Aramus (Nabor x Amneris by Amurath-Sahib), Dr. Kale’s *Eskadra++ (Nabor x Ela by Miecznik), Sheila Varian’s *Essaul (Comet x Ela) and the LaCroix family’s import *Aladdinn (Nureddin x Lalage by Gerwazy). All who herald from the great Elsissa (Floks x Arabja by Koheilan IV) mare-line from Poland.

As a five year old, OKW Entrigue+++// entered the show ring and Mary Jo was trying to find the right “niche” for Ricky’s talent. No stranger to the show world, Mary Jo and her late husband, Steve, had acquired and bred some of the top horses of the 70’s and 80’s for Oakwerth Arabians. Contessa-B+++ (*Bask++ x Countess of Lasma by *Count Dorsaz), Naborrs Royette+ (*Naborr x Royeyn by Roayas), as well as the great Polish matriarchs *Bangla (Ego x Banda by Pietuszok), *Deltaa (Negatiw x Doliwa by Comet), Amber Lit (*Bask++ x *Bint Ambara by Comet), Podkowka (Negatraz x *Podwika by Comet) and Cryztalight (*Bask++ x Cryztal by Czester++). Then came the great Lite My Fire (*Bask++ x Dargantka by *Cytrys), who was the queen of Oakwerth and 1971 US National Champion English Pleasure Horse with Gene LaCroix up. Other notable mares included OKW Allelua (*Aladdinnx Lite My Fire by Bask++), SS Follow Me (Aladdinn x Contessa-B+++ by *Bask++), the only daughter of *Aladdinn to go US National Champion Mare and my personal favorite, OKW Ivoire (*Bandos x Podkowka by Negatraz), arguably one of the most beautiful *Bandos daughters in the world. Now, back to Ricky and his budding show career………….

Ricky arrived at Patience Prine-Carr’s Glynnsong Farm in 2003, after a brief season the year before as a Country English horse. To quote Patience “I loved Ricky, he was funny, quirky, charismatic and talented. He did lower level dressage just fine, got to 2nd and 3rd level and then he really started going places." And, going places he did. Over the next several years, OKW Entrigue+++// ammassed a Nationals, FEI and Regionals show record that culminated in 6 US National Championship and 2 Reserve US National Championships in: Prix St. George (2), Dressage Grand Prix (2), Dressage Fourth Level (1) and Dressage Intermediate I and II (3). Ricky loved dressage because he could show by himself and the crowds always followed him back to his stalls. Then his foals started following in his footsteps…………

With very few foals, 19 purebred and half-Arabians to be exact, Ricky became the sire of sires in the dressage and Sport Horse world. Of these 19 foals, 15 had wins at the Class A level through the National level with 7 National Champions in performance and halter and 9 National’s winners, Top Tens or better, in performance and halter. The icing on the cake? At least 4 of these offspring are/were showing at the FEI level. Mary Jo bred several foals, including OKW Radar+/ (x OKW Elowka by *Elaborat) with 1 National Championship and 9 Top Tens, OKW Suspense+// (x OKW Dramaa by Negatraz) with 1 National Championship, 2 Reserve National Championships and 6 Top Tens and the late OKW Annika+, a half-Arabian with six Top Tens.

 Patience bred Enlightened++++// (x Electrical Storm by High Voltage+/) with 4 National Championships and Reserve as well as 19, yes 19 Top Tens, Glynnsongs Encore+++/ (x Gardjana by Stargard++/) with 1 National Championship and 3 Top Tens and her junior sire, Encandescent ( x HVS Electricity by Hi Voltage+/), who has 7 National Top Tens and his first foals are very promising. Add to this list Tserafina+++/ (x Tsabrena by Tsabre Bey) with 9 Top Tens in halter and performance and the half-Arabian SDF Entourage++++// with 5 National Championships and Reserves and 9 Top Tens and it turned out that Ricky didn’t do too badly as a sire. To say the least.

OKW Entrigue+++// returned to the Wertheimer’s in 2011 to lead the good life, be loved on, ridden and fussed over at home. All a horse could as for. Ricky passed away in September of 2021, a horse who left his mark both in the show ring and as a breeding stallion. Which is all a true breeder can ask for.

One of the funniest things to me is the thought that if we had a choice to not ask about the ceiling in the room where the meeting took place, S would have been carrying a random pebble around for nothing. They had it in their pocket because they wanted to be prepared for any, and all eventual questions that the MC might ask, which meant grabbing one ahead of time. Would they have been disappointed if the MC hadn't asked?

🤭 S would absolutely be disappointed; from their eyes MC is now here, in a marvel of their making, and they won't even bother to ask about the strange roof in Y's office. S' pride would deflate, because MC is... a valued opinion. They'd glance at it as the meeting went along, watching the iridescent colors shift and change. Who wouldn't ask about it? A frown would weigh at the corners of their mouth. Whatever. They berate themselves, willing themselves to try harder to catch MC's attention.

💀 you're the best. Thanks for the ask! Here's some daydreams the ro's keep for whenever their eyes slide closed:

Yor//Yana: the hunter sleeping in their cabin, beside them, and the whole place smells of fresh cedar wood, the fields whispering outside as they bend to the wind; to live simply, just the two of them, outside of the magnitude of responsibilities they have, to just be, within each other's orbit. To think of nothing but how fresh coffee smells, or how hunters breath feels on their skin, to just get to exist, free and floating like a cloud without anywhere to be. And maybe they would go to the market, and maybe they'd cook dinner together. Just a soft, quiet kind of love.

Auryn: There is a courtyard that is largely unknown, of an abandoned house on the outskirts of Riven east, where they would like to take the hunter. The skewed, rotten floors would creak as they led them through the house to get to it, hands softly clasped around hunters eyes and waist - and they would unveil a hidden world of rare frogs, plants and flowers that live around the neglected pool. They'd spend hours watching the life growing there, pointing and whispering, until voices grew husky and touch lingered longer than necessary - they'd fuck the hunter slowly, splayed out on the beautifully tiled floor around the pool, moss sticking to their skin.

Sene//Selene: dreams of bringing the hunter to Oakwerth as it once was, to see their life's work- to hopefully make the hunter proud of them. They'd lavish the hunter in expensive shopping, opera and theater, showing them off at dinners and balls before retiring to the clock tower they call home, and watch the sunrise together on the balcony overlooking all of Oakwerth, wrapped in each others arms, and perhaps a fine bottle of champagne.

Idren//Ida: they barely dare to think that far- to even have the hunter smile at them, laugh at their jokes, seems like dream enough. They imagine touch, sensation, more than anything; to just wake up and the first thing they feel is how hunter is wrapped around them, the weight of their leg on theirs. They quickly school those thoughts though, opting to treasure the real moments instead. Is hunter telling a story by the campfire? They won't tear their eyes away. Oh, but a true, heart-cinching, silly dream of theirs- Id sitting against a tree-trunk, hunter settled between their legs and resting their head against Id's chest, the hunter opening a book and asking Id to read aloud. You have to hold it, Id dreams of murmuring in their ear, dragging their fingertips up and down hunter's arms. If I am to hold you.

Leith//Custom: They just want to go back to how things were, in that run-down little cabin. They dream of painting a room together, chasing each other with paintbrushes until they are both covered in paint-streaks, or making clay pots together a la Ghost, or finally turning that bureau into something beautiful. They also dream of showing hunter what they have discovered, but I can't get into that here.

Do any of the Ros have scars, piercings or tattoos?

Ooo! No one has piercings really, but Auryn, I could see them with a studded tongue and/or a belly button tassel. Auryn has a thigh tattoo of a passage of text that has almost faded out, their own oath once made in Oakwerth. (I will not elaborate...yet.)

pre Release Id had a lot of tattoos, a full sleeve and most their back + 1 asscheek with weird handpoked tats like runes and snakes. It was common within merc companies, so L could have some too, but I'll leave that for you to decide :> It was seen as a protecting charm, to have the old tattooing ladies in town adorn your skin or cover scars with words from the old gods. Like these from Baldur in GoW:

S has adorned their horns with molten gold and porcelain caps, and has their ears pierced. They rarely wear earrings now, after having their ear nib torn in combat.

It isn't a tattoo or a piercing, but Y has a split tongue. Y would have tattoos if they could, but their skin is literally too thick.

As for scars, yes, all of them! You don't get to be over two centuries old without a scratch or two. I won't tell you who the most scarred is, because it will be in the story, but everyone has significant scarring.

Hello! I’m a newcomer, I adore the world you crafted, sci-fi fantasy is a gem that comes once in a while! I do have some questions if you don’t mind. 1. How advance is this society? I seen the old pintrest board you used that had Destiny aesthetics, do robot exist? 2. Has the world always been like this(minus the release) Id said that MC was using an a shotgun from the old world, is this setting post apocalyptic?

As it stands, the setting is post apocalyptic, but in the grander scale there's a lot more focus on the power vacuum and geopolitical state than the frantic, clueless fight for survival. You as a player join in as society is being rebuilt into what it once was and get to see how they are making it better in the process; a lot of invention and advancement comes from using the now abundant water as a power source.

Even before the Release and the story's start machines and automatons existed, only outside of Riven and mainly in the north, with Oakwerth as the spearhead. Oakwerth were very stingy with sharing their inventions, using them as leverage much like Riven uses the Stila, and Riven wasn't in the position to bargain because they had to keep the town a secret. That changed with the Release- I can't go into exact details since it's spoilery, but I can say that the Release was very much manufactured and not just an accident if you catch my drift. lol.

For the sake of making it easy to imagine, I'd liken the world to a mix of steampunk with airships and intricate technology, along with the fantasy aspect of magic, floating islands, mysterious forests, fantasy races and living gods. I hope that makes sense! 😂

Do robots exist? Yes, in Oakwerth, and in a minor way as the messenger bugs Iontif introduces you to in the intro. In the story at the current moment, S is working on a mecha titan like the ones you see in Pacific Rim. A sneakpeek of a work in progress of S's 101(the height is off, I don't think triple height is enough tbh);

I feel exactly the same, nony. I can't wait until we get until that part.

It is going to get messy. It involves pacts and overthrowing a cult that stands for everything Y is against. It involves a show of power, a game of thrones, a decadent play of rules that leaves the court of Oakwerth trembling. And it will, if you play your choices carefully, have them kneeling at the feet of y&mc to grant them a mere smidge of mercy.

why does the mc HAVE to get the phylactery and records to be "free"? like can't they just not do what the clergy wants them to do? are they bound by magic?

I mean, they could just not do what the clergy tells them, it is what they have been doing for the past 200 years. But in my mind, after this gross overstep of boundaries(MC being forced back) I think they just want to close that chapter of their life, and they would do that by expunging every trace of their oath, including the records and whatever is left of their blood in Oakwerth.

However, this *is* first draft writing (you know, when I'm still figuring out the story myself) and I suspect that the motivations of MC will become clearer with rewrites. As it stands, I also feel like it is a bit lackluster.

I finally cracked it. The placing of Lena’s scene, the exposition on the clergy, a moment on how things unfolded in the past.

Funny thing too, since Lena’s scene almost ended up exactly where it started. It just needed some foundational work, a little nudge to remind the reader of where MC came from, and where they are going. It sounds so simple in hindsight, but it was driving me insane for the longest time.

It only took a restructuring of my entire outline, a hard look at the actual themes I wanted to introduce this early, how it weaves together with the rest of the story, changing the reveals I cherished so dearly... My brain turned to goop. But! I am so satisfied with how it looks now. And with the first draft of the update having grown legs, sprinting ahead of me, I have so much to work with now! Tonight I start on the second draft, the one I will be sending to betas. (Don’t worry, I haven’t announced the need for them yet!)

I feel like I’m finally tooting the boat-horn and shouting full speed ahead!

You scoff. “Short of controlling us into fighting for them-”

“Well..” Leith takes a seat next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, pressing you close. A shiver runs down your spine as le_he sighs. Your hands are covered in tiny cuts, in dried blood and dirt. A thorn is lodged in your thumb. Folding your hands together, you ignore the sting of weeks of unrelenting work. “What are you saying? Do they have the tech for that, to… to actually control us?”

some lore questions!! how long has each RO been working for as a hunter/affiliated with the hunters?

So, the whole disaster that happened with L and Id, was because the forest beasts attacks took on a new pattern - nearly all people in Riven died, and they were so few already that had survived the Release.

New people trickled in, our RO's among them. All of them survivors, many from the capital Oakwerth; the time after the release was really, really bad for Oakwerth. Religious figures going nuts, curses and vile things coating the city in chaos. (Something you will find out about as the story goes). S was, and still is, a prominent figure for Oakwerth. They still spend time there and consider Oakwerth their 'home base', but at the moment it is almost unlivable. Hence, S is in Riven. S was close to the royal family, so they have always had a connection to Riven and it's well. But I digress!

Auryn was the first to Riven with their band of survivors after MC's accident, following orders from Oakwerth. Then came Y, the stray. Lol. Ready to fight everything and anything. But they eventually settled in too, climbing the ranks to commander.

Id and L, as you know, have been by the hedge since the start. There will be more backstory in the story so I won't divulge everything!
