Introduction
VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols. Download the latest version of VLC Media Player for Mac. Excellent multimedia player supporting next to all formats. VLC Media Player is an Open Source Multimedia.
This is the year 2020. And standing in the year 2020, we see the world differently. Back in the 20th century, people rarely captured pictures. Because back then, cameras were not this much available. Also, the cameras were not cheap. But now, we have a camera, even on our mobile phones. And in some cases, some mobile phones have multiple cameras. We can even find mobile phones with four cameras. But we are not here to talk about cameras. We are here to talk about video and video players. We use our cameras to capture videos. But to play a video, we need a video player. VLC is a famous video player for a computer. And it offers many exciting features that others don’t. Here is everything you need to know about VOC download for Mac. So, let’s get deep into the article.
History of videos
Videos are actually photos. When you take too many pictures in a small fraction of time, you will get a video. This is the mechanism of video. Well, capturing a video was not easy in the past. But as time has changed, the way of capturing has also changed. Fun fact, the first video was captured in the year 1888. We don’t know if it was the first recorded video. But at least it is the oldest surviving video on earth.
This was a silent film. And it was only 2 seconds long. It was a Roundhay Garden Scene. And it was recorded in a farmhouse at Oakwood Grange Road, England. However, the way of recording videos changed with time.
John Logie Baird invented the first video camera. And it was designed in the early 1900s. But this was not handy. Hence, people could not use it often. But by the 1970s, the way of recording video was changed. JVC launched its game-changer video home system in the 1970s. The Vidar Videocassette recorder (VCR) was released in Japan. And using VCR, you can now watch your recorded video on your tv. As a result, the tendency of recording videos spread like wildfire.
And now, we have cameras on our mobile phones. Anytime we want to record anything. We can take out our mobile phone and record it. People record thousands of minutes of video each day all over the world.
Now let’s dig deep into the use of videos. And how videos changed our society.
Different Industry and Video
Video changed the world in many ways. And one of them is our entertainment industry. For example, cinemas, YouTube videos, and many more. Without the video cinema industry is nothing.
And we are living in the 21st century. And the cinema industry is vast. This industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. And you will be amazed to know. Some films earned 2 billion dollars. And you will find movies that made millions. So, you see how huge the industry is. And without video, we can not think of the film industry.
Advertising is becoming a vast industry. And there are thousands of people who rely on this industry. For example, some people become cameramen. So to record an ad film, You need a camera operator. And it would help if you had a cinematographer. Then you need a make up man. And you need this video to be edited. Hence it would help if you had a film editor. It would help if you had models to film the ad.
Tumblr media
And most importantly you need crewmembers. As a result, you get a nice and clean ad. See, this is how huge this fantastic industry. Without video and video cameras, it won’t be possible.
YouTube is maybe the website with the most uploaded videos. And there are thousands of hours of videos uploaded on YouTube. And people upload hundreds of hours of videos every day. Not only that, people even earn money from YouTube. And there are even YouTubers whose net worth is in the millions. Many youngsters are trying to become YouTubers. They are making quality content for YouTube.
And all of these are possible because of video. And video cameras. Hence we can say, video changed the world in different ways. Also, it has a significant impact on our economy.
Video and Its impact on society
Time is changing. And society is also changing with time. Different types of videos influence our community in different ways. For example, a child will learn what it sees. And in today’s world, a child spends hours on a mobile phone. They watch different YouTube videos. So a child will learn what it sees on the Internet. If it watches good things. For example, they are helping the helpless, giving food to hungry people. Then a child will learn to help others. On the other hand, if someone watches violence. Then they will learn those.
Celebrities and social media influencers have a significant impact on our youth. These celebrities are from different sectors. And our youngsters love them. And they follow them wholeheartedly. These celebrities can be a movie star or a football player or a tech geek. But they all have the same impact on our young people. A simple video message from them can create chaos. And if these celebrities use video to make reasonable changes in society. They have that power. Because our young generation loves them so much. They will do anything for them.
Well, there is nothing in this world with only the good side. As every coin has two sides. Also, videos have some negative sides. For example, porn videos can affect the young generation. Some porn shows violence. And that can affect the youth.
Video players and VLC
When was the first video recorded and how it changed through time? The first video was made in 1888. But from then the way of capturing videos has changed dramatically. Recording videos became famous in the 1970s. It spread like a wildfire after the VCR was released. Because after that recording videos become easier.
After recording a video we need a video player to watch that video. In the past, we used video cassettes. But now we watch videos on our phones, TVs, and computers. And to watch a video on your phone or computer. It would help if you had a video player software. There are many video player software. For example, we have KMplayer, the VLC video player, classic video player, PotPlayer, and many more. But not many video players are as good as the Vlc player.
If we search the history of the video player software. Then we will see the first video player software was released in 1995. RealPlayer basic and RealPlayer plus are the first released video player software. And this software is still active. Though it is not used as much. But it is, in fact, the first video player software.
But there is so much advanced video player software on the Internet. And people search for these. Because they want a better video watching experience. Vlc is one of the most famous video players. Hence, even mac users search for “Vlc download for mac.”

Back from a long weekend in the forest, without WiFi or cell reception. With sheltering in place + most of my clients pivoting hard to lean into the digital world, these last few months have been insane and I’ve been constantly connected 📲 It felt amazing to just rest, read and fully relax for a few days. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also, based on all of your responses after sharing a video of my dog Pip on my IG story, apparently you want me to focus on corgi content instead of cocktails 🤔🐕 Can’t say that I blame you. Swipe for a look at sleepy vacation Pip. 🔊✌🏽 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #highproofpreacher

It’s fri-yay aka time for an 𝐀𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐳! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Instead of dreaming for the day we can get back into some of our favorite restaurants safely (because who knows when that will be)… let’s bring the Friday happy hour cocktails right into our home! After creating recipes for the past 4 months now, there’s a lot to choose from on our website! My personal favorite to celebrate the beginning of the weekend on a hot day is of course the Aperol Spritz. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But on a serious note, I can't believe that 4 months ago COVID lockdown hit in the US and that actually made me really start taking Join Jules seriously. It was the only way to turn a sour situation into a good one I guess. But, I do hope these cocktails have helped cure the oh so missed happy hours and that you look forward to so many more to come… (I'm looking at you 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧)!! Let's just say this, it's only the beginning of Join Jules 𝘞𝘰𝘰𝘩𝘰𝘰! (𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘮 𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴… okay okay I'll stop).⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐍𝐨𝐰, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐨-𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥? 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰!

Turn up for Tiki 🍹🥥🍌🍍. It has been blazing hot here on the Mid-Atlantic coast, and all I want to do is crush tropical cocktails. But, honestly, it’s just one of those genres of drinks that always taste better at the bar – usually because I don’t have a pebble ice machine at home (yes, it does matter). . Lately, I’ve been making some Mai Tais with @denizenrum Merchant’s Reserve, @smallhandfoods orgeat, fresh lime, and dry curaçao. That’s as complex as it gets, but it’s well worth it. . Who has some easy tiki cocktails that they have developed at home worth sharing? I’m looking for some new flavors 👌🏽🍹.

I really really miss @leyendabk and on days like today with May just around the corner I miss our patio the most. May has always been our biggest month with the weather being perfect combined with our anniversary and Cinco de Mayo. This year we were going to do a huge party for our five ( 5️⃣❗️) year anniversary as well as my book launch. Instead we won’t. Instead, rather than being in Leyenda’s backyard mixing up drinks and hanging out with the whole neighborhood, I will just post them on social media. Like this one— featured in my book with link in BIO!—Cereza Picante: With this drink, I wanted to create an exceptionally fruit-forward fall-like sour that highlighted spice and smoke to compliment its fruity notes. The result is what its name advertises: one spicy cherry. 1 oz Jalapeño @siembraspirits Valles blanco tequila 1/2 oz @delmagueymezcal Vida 3/4 oz @cherryheering 3/4 oz lime juice 1/4 oz simple syrup Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and Luxardo cherry flag. . Photo by @Shannonshootscocktails

These bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts have made names for themselves by sharing photos of whimsical drinks and helpful tips with their followers.

⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ But on a serious note, I can’t believe that 4 months ago COVID lockdown hit in the US and that actually made me really start taking Join Jules seriously. It was the only way to turn a sour situation into a good one I guess. But, I do hope these cocktails have helped cure the oh so missed happy hours and that you look forward to so many more to come… (I’m looking at you 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧)!! Let’s just say this, it’s only the beginning of Join Jules 𝘞𝘰𝘰𝘩𝘰𝘰! (𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘮 𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴… okay okay I’ll stop).⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐍𝐨𝐰, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐨-𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥?

Hi, I can’t sleep and was going through my photos and realized that I could tell what day a sky photo was taken and my emotions while taking said photo just from a glance so I thought I’d share.

May 25, 2019 - Ignite Gaming and a park in Chinatown
It was 4 days after my moms funeral and my friends picked me up so we could go to the arcade. I didn’t feel like playing so while they were battling in Smash I pulled back the blackout screen and noticed that the sun was still up. This was the first time we had been to ignite and it wasn’t 1am so I took a picture. After the acade we went to strings which is our go to hangout eating place and then we walked to the park near by and for the first time in the many times we had been to that park we went right and discovered this beautiful garden area. We sat by the river in scilence and I took this picture.

July 5, 2019-Suburban gas station
I missed my mom like crazy and had been working part time for 35hours a week at target which led to me having a pretty bad anxiety attack so like at 7pm on a Thursday and called my dad and begged him to take me to the movies because I needed to do something to make me feel better. He said ok and then at midnight he picked me up and we went to my favorite movie theater which was like 35 minutes from my house and we saw Aladdin (the live action one, I kinda liked it not gonna lie). Before we got to the theater my dad stopped at the gas station a block away and while he was pumping the gas I took this picture because I like the eerie look of the station.

July 9th 2019-oakwood beach
I was trying to figure out how to tell my girlfriend of a week that I, a monogamous person who identified as a lesbian that I had been talking to this guy from my job and that I wanted to date him and that had been committed to the idea of dating him for over a month. I didn’t know how to say it so I just took this picture and dug up pebbles in the sand. They told me they were poly after my long silence so I just dated both of them. Neither relationship worked out.
Tumblr media
July 11th - lakefront
I had orientation at my new college this day and as I was walking down the street to make it to financial aid my old friend walked out of one of the buildings. I called out to her and she was happy to see me. We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up. We walked from Wabash to the lakefront and I told her about my mom and she told me about her baby that was on the way. We discussed our feelings about god and religion and how we have unconventional relationships to it. While we talked she drew my picture and I captured hers (as well as this one). It was the first time I had been genuinely happy since my moms death, and it was a beautiful conversation. That was the last time I saw her and probably ever will as we never exchanged numbers. If I remember correctly she moved to Michigan after that. I hope she and her baby are doing well.
Tumblr media
August 9th 2019 - Chinatown Square
I broke up with my girlfriend at 3pm and by 5 I was in Chinatown with my friends and boyfriend. As I was waiting in line for my Thai iced tea I looked up at the sky and took this picture. My friends followed suit.
Tumblr media
August 13th 2019 - Rock beach
This was the 4th day in a row my friends had hung out and honestly we were running out of shit to do. On this day we decided to go to Hyde Park and after going to the bookstore I suggested we go to the lake as it was something I did a lot as a kid and wanted to do again for nostalgias sake (I didn’t tell them all that though). When we got there I took of my shoes and socks and rolled up my jeans and walked to the edge of the rocks and stared at the water. I put my hands behind my back and let the water wash over my feet and occasionally crash on my legs getting my jeans wet. After my friend called me out of my sad trance I took a couple steps back and took this picture. I then turned towards then and took their pictures and recorded goofy videos of them.
Tumblr media
August 30, 2019
Ok this is kind of cheating because there are multiple context clues but the circumstances and coincidences are kind of funny. This was taken on new student convocation and the person with the dreads in front of me is my boyfriend. He wasn’t my boyfriend when I took this picture in fact I didn’t even know his name nor did I notice he was in the photo. I was just taking a picture to send to my friends to show them what the new student event looked like at my school. When I look at it now though I immediately know that’s him and it’s crazy to me that this dude who was just randomly standing standing in front of me ended up being so important to me.

Hollywood Jewelry Store Owner Fights Off Attempted Robber
The owner of a Hollywood jewelry store got caught up in a fistfight with a man who attempted to rob his store.
The Hollywood Police Department released surveillance video of the March 2 incident at DSH Oakwood Jewelers on Stirling Road.
"It happened so fast," said owner Daniel Setton.
The suspect entered the store at around 2:30 p.m. with two broken chains. Setton said he offered to fix them for free, but said the man was irate and demanded a new chain, refusing to take "no" for an answer.
"He say, ok, you don't want to give it to me, I'm going to take it for myself," Setton said.
The suspect then walks over to a restricted area of the store where the gold chains are kept. Setton fights back with punches, while another person strikes the suspect over the head with whatever they could find.
"I had to stop him," Setton said. "I didn't have another choice."
Police say the suspect took off in a grey-colored Honda.
"You have to be stupid to do all that when you have surveillance cameras all around you," Setton said.
Anyone with information should call police at 954-764-4357 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

When people organize corporate retreats, they usually focus on planning team building activities that hone the participants’ skills while promoting teamwork and cooperation. There’s definitely nothing wrong with doing this but, if you’re planning a company retreat for your staff, it shouldn’t be your only priority. To have a successful event, you also need to provide excellent entertainment that will help your employees enjoy and have fun.
Not sure where to begin? Here are some ideas you can explore:
Set up a photo booth
This might seem like a cliché, but it’s actually a great way to spice up your corporate retreat. By hiring a photo booth with lots of fun props, you’ll give your teams the chance to goof off while bonding over the act of taking wacky pictures. Photo booths are also a great choice if you’re hiring a small banquet space and don’t have much space for vigorous activities that involve running, walking, and dancing.
Organize DIY activities
Give your employees the chance to make their own cocktail, ice cream, pizza, and other treats. It’s a great way to help unleash their creativity while ensuring they can enjoy yummy food and drinks. You can even turn it into a contest: choose the best DIY drinks/treats and have the rest of your team vote on the winner.
Hire professional entertainers
You can’t go wrong with hiring professional singers, dancers, and musicians who’ll entertain your event attendees with quality performances. And the entertainment doesn’t even have to stop on stage: you can hire a magician who’ll walk around the tables and perform stunning tricks for your employees. Another option is a speed painter, who’ll create instant portraits of your staff while engaging them in fun conversations.
Add gaming to your game plan
Got a big budget? Consider setting up a small gaming area where guests can play different types of games. If you have an even bigger budget, throw in virtual reality headsets and games, too. Video games are probably not related to what your company does, but it greatly helps in helping your employees relax and put them in the mood for your corporate retreat.
Bring out your team’s inner kids
Everyone has childlike wonder in them, so why not bring this out during your event? Do something different, Oakwood Resort has numerous activities your team can enjoy like water sports or trail hiking. Invite your team members to go all out and have fun. You’ll be surprised at how many of them will grab the chance to unleash their inner child — yes, maybe even that too-serious guy from accounting! Just make sure that your event venue has enough space to accommodate these activities.
These are just some of the fun entertainment ideas you can use for your corporate retreat. If you’re still looking for a venue for your event, give Oakwood Resort a call. They offer Northwest Indiana banquet halls as well as other types of venues and can help you organize a successful and memorable event. Located on the banks of Lake Wawasee, Oakwood Resort is a great choice for businesses based in Fort Wayne, South Bend, Goshen, Warsaw, Elkhart, and surrounding areas.
